• Sharepoint web services -- The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Ntlm'

  I know there's a lot of questions on SO similar to this, but I couldn't find one for this particular issue. A couple of points, first: I have no control over our Sharepoint server. I cannot tweak any IIS settings. I believe our IIS server version is IIS 7.0. Our Sharepoint Server is anticipating requests via NTLM. Our Sharepoint Server is on the same domain as my client computer. I am using .NET Framework 3.5, Visual Studio 2008 I am trying to write a simple console app to manipulate Sharepoint data using Sharepoint Web Services. The authentication header received from the server was 'NTLM'. With an inner WebException: "The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized." I've tried various bindings and various code tweaks to try to authenticate properly, but to no avail. I'll list those below. I've tried the following steps: Using a native Win32 Impersonator before creating the client using (new Impersonator.Impersonator("username", "password", "domain")) using (var client = new ListsSoapClient()) { client.ClientCredentials.Windows.ClientCredential = new NetworkCredential("dpincas", "password", "domain"); client.GetListCollection(); } This produced the same error message. Setting TokenImpersonationLevel for my client credentials using (var client = new ListsSoapClient()) { client.ClientCredentials.Windows.AllowedImpersonationLevel = TokenImpersonationLevel.Impersonation; client.GetListCollection(); } This produced the same error message. Using security mode=TransportCredentialOnly <security mode="TransportCredentialOnly"> <transport clientCredentialType="Ntlm" /> </security> This resulted in a different error message: The provided URI scheme 'https' is invalid; expected 'http'. Parameter name: via However, I need to use https, so I cannot change my URI scheme. I've tried some other combinations that I can't remember, but I'll post them when I do. I'm really at wits end here. I see a lot of links on Google that say "switch to Kerberos", but my server seems to only be accepting NTLM, not "Negotiate" (as it would say if it was looking for Kerberos), so that is unfortunately not an option. Any help out there, folks?

• Non breaking space in XAML vs. code

  This works fine, and correctly inserts non-breaking spaces into the string: <TextBlock Text="Non&#160;Breaking&#160;Text&#160;Here"></TextBlock> But what I really need is to replace spaces with non-breaking spaces during data binding. So I wrote a simple value converter that replaces spaces with "&#160;". It does indeed replace spaces with "&#160;" but "&#160;" is displayed literally instead of showing as a non-breaking space.   Hi, I currently have a compiled XmlSchemaSet from which I get possible elements/attributes for each specific "parent" element defined in the schema. I have a single "master" xsd schema which includes another schema and uses attributeGroup references for some "common" elements. • Reporting Services 2010 RDLC: Passing Querystring Parameters from an RDLC

  I'm trying to build a simple RDLC report that shows some data, and has a 'select' link that sends the browser off to a certain url with some data in the querystring (a key). In the vs2010 report designer, I can double-click on the column, then select action, and there are a bunch of thigns that seem like they might work. But none of them do. Under 'enable as a hyperlink' I can pick 'go to url' but there aren't any parameter options to pass. I also tried 'go to report' on the off chance that I could trick it into doing what I want. Here there are parameter options, but it knows that my url is not a report and the "select" link renders as text (not clickable). Any ideas? I'm pretty sure this used to work in vs2008, and it seems like something that must be doable. But I've been pulling out my hair for several hours on this one.

• OAuth::Problem (parameter_absent)

  Im working with OAuth 0.3.6 and the linkedin gem for a Rails application and I have this issue where OAuth throws an error saying that OAuth::Problem (parameter_absent). The thing is it doesn't throw the error on every occasion its called and the problem is I am unable to reproduce the issue locally to test it. The documentation says that : [parameter_absent: a required parameter wasn't received. In this case, the response SHOULD also contain an oauth_parameters_absent parameter. ] but the request is generated the same way each time to obtain the tokens so I fail to understand why this happens. • Fail to launch application (CreateProcess error=87), can't use shorten classpath workaround

  When I launch our application in Eclipse on Windows I receive the following error: Exception occured executing command line. Cannot run program .. : CreateProcess error=87, The parameter is incorrect I've solved this in the past by shortening the CLASSPATH. I've now come to a point where I can no longer shorten the CLASSPATH, and would like to know if there are any other workarounds. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830473 seems to indicate that the max command prompt line length in windows xp is 8191 characters, and the only solution is to shorten folder names, reduce depth of folder trees, using parameter files, etc.

• VS2010, MSDeploy and declaration of parameters

  Hi I'm trying to deploy an ASP.NET MVC 2 app using MSDeploy. I use VS2010 to generate the package as a ZIP. Inside that ZIP is a parameters.xml file that declares the parameters that I can set. I want to be able to set more parameters, using the auto-generated deploy.cmd file like this: MySite.deploy.cmd "-setParam:name='IIS Web Application Name',value=MySite" "-setParam:name=IisVirtualDirectoryPhysicalPath,value=C:\inetpub\MySite" "-setParam:name=httpBinding,value=*:80:www.mysite.dk" That works fine, except for the httpBinding param. That is because that parameter is not declared inside the parameters.xml file that is added to the ZIP container. I could go and add that parameter declaration manually, but isn't there a way to do it from the command line and have it declare parameters I have in another XML file?

Does the EntityDataSource not support walking the relationships? How would you do this with the EntityDataSource? Also the @userName parameter is being added in the code behind for now. Extra points for anyone who knows how to specify a username parameter directly in the WhereParameters collection.

  Hi I've built an authentication service in RIA that inherits from DomainService and IAuthenticate. The problem is following: When LoginOperation fails (loginOperation.LoginSuccess is false) due to wrong credentials, everything is ok and it is reported to the user. However, when login succeeds, I get throw a really weird exception: {System.ServiceModel.DomainServices.Client.DomainOperationException: Load operation failed for query 'Login'. Value cannot be null. Parameter name: validationErrors --- System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: validationErrors at System.ServiceModel.DomainServices.Client.QueryCompletedResult..ctor(IEnumerable1 entities, IEnumerable1 includedEntities, Int32 totalCount, IEnumerable`1 validationErrors) I don't really understand this. What is IEnumerable validationErrors, where does it appear and why does it have to be != null ? This started happening after I ported my authentication services from Nhibernate to Entity Framework. I've even tried googling this exception and apparently I'm the only one with this problem so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• How to fix an endpoint/configuration error using WCF in VB.NET

  I'm working with a small web page that is meant to assist the users of my application. This web page takes a file and sends it to a central server, which then does something with the data and returns a result. I created this application some time ago and am coming back to it recently. I am getting some kind of configuration error right now, although this application used to work. When it stopped working, whenever I ran the page and sent the data to the central server, I would get this error: "Could not find default endpoint element that references contract 'CentralService.ICwCentralService' in the ServiceModel client configuration section. This might be because no configuration file was found for your application, or because no endpoint element matching this contract could be found in the client element." Looking at some other issues on the net, I thought I might have had the answer. The service reference to the endpoint was contained in a separate project from the code that called it, but the configuration file in that project had no information about the endpoint. I assume its something that changed outside of the application (e.g. the libraries referenced) that requires an update to the configuration in the application. I am currently using .NET 3.0 for all of my applications. Any help would be appreciated.

  Hello, I have a problem with m2eclipse (0.10.0) together with eclipse galileo (Build id: 20090920-1017). I always get the error message:"Eclipse is running in a JRE, but a JDK is required". I have tried several things, but nothing works. The error message is still there. Here are the things I have tried: In WindowPreferencesJavaInstalled JREs I checked JDK1.6.0_20. DOES NOT WORK In WindowPreferencesJavaInstalled JREs I removed all JREs. Only the checked JDK1.6.0_20 is still there. DOES NOT WORK In WindowPreferencesJavaInstalled JREsExecution Environments I choosed JavaSE-1.6 and checked JDK1.6.0_20[perfect match]. DOES NOT WORK. In Preferences of the eclipse desktop start icon I added the -vm parameter (C:\Programme\eclipse_galileo\eclipse\eclipse.exe -vm C:\Programme\Java\jdk1.6.0_20\bin). DOES NOT WORK. I added the clean parameter (C:\Programme\eclipse_galileo\eclipse\eclipse.exe -vm C:\Programme\Java\jdk1.6.0_20\bin -clean). DOES NOT WORK.   Someone provided me the regex to parse out a query string: (?<=\?)[^?]+$ I am trying to use that in JMeter with no luck (although I am successful in pulling out individual query string parameter values based on various example postings on the web). I created a regular expression extractor called "Grab QueryString". I selected the URL response field to check. For the reference name, I typed "myQueryString". For the regular expression, I entered your text. For template, I entered $1$ Match no = 1 Default Value = ERROR Unfortunately, "myQueryString" is getting populated with ERROR and not the URL query string as hoped when I try and use it as a parameter in a future GET. Thus, I see this in the "View Results Tree": https:/www.website.com/folder/page.aspx?ERROR Instead of: https:/www.website.com/folder/page.aspx?jfhjHSDjgdjhsjhsdhjSJHWed Did I do something wrong? • Enable button based on TextBox value (WPF)

  This is MVVM application. There is a window and related view model class. There is TextBox, Button and ListBox on form. Button is bound to DelegateCommand that has CanExecute function. Idea is that user enters some data in text box, presses button and data is appended to list box. I would like to enable command (and button) when user enters correct data in TextBox. Things work like this now: CanExecute() method contains code that checks if data in property bound to text box is correct. Text box is bound to property in view model UpdateSourceTrigger is set to PropertyChanged and property in view model is updated after each key user presses. Problem is that CanExecute() does not fire when user enters data in text box. It doesn't fire even when text box lose focus. How could I make this work? Edit: Re Yanko's comment: Delegate command is implemented in MVVM toolkit template and when you create new MVVM project, there is Delegate command in solution. As much as I saw in Prism videos this should be the same class (or at least very similar).   I am deploying an ear application on Jboss 5.1.0. and i facing some issues. I had two ears one i had copied to deploy folder and the other in deploy-hasingleton. The ear which is in deploy-hasingleton is throwing some errors.when i serached in google i came to know that there is some issue with EJB 2.x on jboss 5.1.i was not able to find the solution. • How do I use Sketchflow sample data for a ListBoxItem Template at design time?

  I am using Expression Blend 4 and Visual Studio 2010 to create a Sketchflow prototype. I have a Sample Data collection and a ListBox that is bound to it. This displays as I would expect both at design time and at run time. However, the ListBoxItem template it just complex enough that I wanted to pull it out into its own XAML file. Even though the items still render as expected in the main ListBox where the template is used, when I open the template itself, all of the databound controls are empty. If I add a DataContext to the template, I can see and work with the populated objects while in the template, but then that local DataContext overrides the DataContext set on the listbox. A bit of code will illustrate. Start by creating a Sketchflow project (I am using Silverlight, but it should work the same for WPF), then add a project data source called SampleDataSource. Add a collection called ListData, with a single String property called Title. When you open Main.xaml in the Expression designer, the list box is populated with sample data. But when you open DemoListBoxItemTemplate.xaml, there is no data context and therefore no data to display—which makes it more difficult to identify controls visually. How can I have sample data displayed when I am working with the template, while still allowing the larger set of sample data to be used for the ListBox itself?
