    I've got my HTML inside of $html. dom = new DOMDocument(); $dom->loadHTML($html); $xpath = new DOMXPath($dom); $tags = $xpath->query('//div[@id="header"]'); foreach($tags as $tag) { var_dump($tag->nodeValue); // the innerHTML of that element var_dump($tag); // object(DOMElement)#3 (0) { } } Is there a way to get that node, or remove it? Basically, I'm parsing an existing website and need to remove elements from it. What method do I call to do that? Thanks

  • Cleaning up temp folder after long-running subprocess exits

    I have a Python script (running inside another application) which generates a bunch of temporary images. I then use subprocess to launch an application to view these. When the image-viewing process exists, I want to remove the temporary images. I can't do this from Python, as the Python process may have exited before the subprocess completes. I.e I cannot do the following: p = subprocess.Popen(["imgviewer", "/example/image1.jpg", "/example/image1.jpg"]) p.communicate() os.unlink("/example/image1.jpg") os.unlink("/example/image2.jpg") ..as this blocks the main thread, nor could I check for the pid exiting in a thread etc The only solution I can think of means I have to use shell=True, which I would rather avoid: cmd = ['imgviewer'] cmd.append("/example/image2.jpg") for x in cleanup: cmd.extend(["&&", "rm", x]) cmdstr = " ".join(cmd) subprocess.Popen(cmdstr, shell = True) This works, but is hardly elegant, and will fail with filenames containing spaces etc.. Basically, I have a background subprocess, and want to remove the temp files when it exits, even if the Python process no longer exists.

    I need to access some Linux server behind NAT (no ports forwarded), so I need to have something like "phone home" like Teamviewer has. There is no GUI, but somebody can log in through SSH and dictate a password if it is changing (like Teamviewer). SSH (port 22) is enough (I can tunnel ports through SSH if I need). Any suggestions? How safe is it?

    Hi, I'm writing an NPAPI plugin. In every webpage that the browser goes to, I inject my plugin with an object tag. Something like: <object id="myplugin" type="plugin-mime-type" > In some pages where i dont want it, after injection i remove it by finding the element using the id and doing a document.removeChild. From my logging i found that in firefox and opera, doing this automatically calls the plugin destroy method NPP_Destroy (NPAPI). But in chrome, it doesnt seem to call it. Is there any special way that i should remove a plugin in chrome that i am missing?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have noticed that this is happening usually when I leave computer to get coffee, and screensaver comes up, WLM breaks. Is there any way to prevent this error from happening? I see I can turn off this "Data Execution Prevention", but is that safe, since I know that WLM is under heavy attacks from spammers/hackers? Thanks

    I recently updated my computer to a more powerful one, with a quad-core hyperthreading processor (i7), thus plenty of real concurrency available. Now I'm occasionally getting the following error when quitting (System.exit(0)) an application (with a Swing GUI) that I'm developing: Exception while removing reference: java.lang.InterruptedException java.lang.InterruptedException at java.lang.Object.wait(Native Method) at java.lang.ref.ReferenceQueue.remove(ReferenceQueue.java:118) at java.lang.ref.ReferenceQueue.remove(ReferenceQueue.java:134) at sun.java2d.Disposer.run(Disposer.java:125) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:619) Well, given that it started to happen with a more concurrency-capable hardware, and it has to do with threads, and it happens occasionally, it's obviously some kind of timing thing. But the problem is that the stack trace is so short. All I have is the listing above. It doesn't include my own code at all, so it's somewhat hard to guess where the bug is. Has anyone experienced something like this before? Any ideas how to start solving it?

    I am currently using PrincipalContext and UserPrincipal to return the users primary groupid. How can I take this id and find the actual group name? Also I have code that works correctly to assign the user's primary group, but once I assign them to the group I can not delete them from Domain Users which is the default primary group prior to my change. I have called Save() before trying to remove the domain users group. My requirements state I must add the user to AD then assign their primary group and then remove them as a member of Domain Users.

One is online, the other is offline. Is it possible to run Oracle Fail Safe on this configuration?   • Uncenter MkMapView

    I am trying to "uncenter" the map view and remove all annotations. the reason for this is that the mapView will be used by different view controllers to display different annotations and locations. What's happening now is that i am using the "remove annotations" method and i removes them, but the map stays centered on the spot and thus when the new annotations come in, it does not move. Is there a way to reset the region and if so, what value do i reset it to.   • Colorbox - removing the close button from a specific window

    Hi, I'm using the colorbox plugin to display messages on my web page. One of them is a "wait for response" message, and I don't want the user closing it by himself. I know how to unbind the ESC key, and to disable the overlay close, but I still have a problem with the close button. I found I could remove it in the css like this: #cboxClose{display:none !important;} but this will effect all my colorbox messages.. Is there a way to remove the close button from a specific message?     i want to deallocate a spriteClass from memory and remove it from the display list. when the spriteClass is instantiated, it creates some of it's own sprites with new tweens and tween events and add them as children. i understand that the tween events must be removed in order for the spritClass to become available for garbage collection, and only afterwards should i nullify the spriteClass, but should i also nullify and remove the spriteClass's sprite children and tweens as well, or does it not matter? essentially i'd like to know if by nullifying the spriteClass it automatically removes all of it's added children and new instantiations like tweens, sprites, rects, whatever, or am i responsible for removing them all and otherwise the spriteClass isn't truly null until i do so?

  • jerky scrolling in NSTableView

    Hello All, I have a NSTableView with around 70 - 80 rows, each row contain a checkbox, title text and a drop down menu to select data. The problem i am facing is that when i scroll the table it does not scroll smooth. When i remove the NSComboBoxCell it works ok. Whenever the Button is Clicked, a confirmation dialog is displayed. What I am trying to do now, is to allow the user to enter a reason for the removal, and pass this on the the OnClick event handler. How would I do this? I tried OnClientClick='return prompt("Enter your reason!");', but, of course, that did not work =)
