  • C# Win Forms Auto-Updating Controls

    Hello! I have a datagridview and a combobox which get populated randomly with data. However, the new data is never displayed automatically. Someone mentioned the idea of invalidating the control to force the application to redraw it and thus iterate through the contents and populate the control with the new data. Does anyone know which is the best method for implementing auto-updating controls in windows forms applications? help greatly appreciated, regards.

    Hello, I have a List of object, produced by JPA q.getResultList(). I would like to use it in a drop down, but Stripes "option" tag cant accept List, just Collection, Enum and Map. Im new to Java, that why perhaps the List can translated to each of them but I dont know how can I solve this issue. (Stripes select,option-map,-enumeration, -collection can build up a drop down from previous mentioned input object structures ) Thanks advance

    Hello , I am doing internationalisation in django admin.I am able to convert all my text to the specific langauge.But i m not able to change the 'app' name suppose django-admin.py startapp test this will create a app called test inside my project.Inside this app 'test' i can create many classes in my model.py file.But when i register my app 'test' in settings.py file.I am convert all the text in the locale of my browser but my app heading 'test' is not getting changed.How to change that any idea?

    Hello Masters, Thanks in advance, I need help in solving php memory problem, I have created a script in php that automatically fetch magento product data,the problem is that when there is large number of product in database, the script gives memory fatal error i have changed the memory limit to 256M in my php.ini but still the script not executing totally. i have checked the script its working fine if there is number of product is not too much but if there is larger number my script not working..     Hello, To illustrate my problem, TEST="Hi my name is John" OUTP=`echo $TEST | awk '{print $3}'` echo $OUTP What I would expect this to do is pass the $TEST variable into awk and store the 3rd word into $OUTP. Instead I get "Hi: not found", as if it is expecting the input to be a file. If I pass just a string instead of a variable, however, there is no problem. What would be the best way to approach this?     Hello I have a problem with django translations. Problem 1 - i updated string in django.po file, but the change does not appear on the webpage. Problem 2 - i have created my own locale file with django-admin.py makemessages -l et, added the translation string into file, but they too do not appear on the page. I do not think this is setting problem, because the translations from django.po file do appear on the website, its just the changes and the translations from my own generated file that do not appear. I can't figure out what is wrong with my expression: /abcd/..asp\?\w+=.?[0-9]*? Example: http://domain.com/abcd/xyz.asp?RequestID=20100401 Do I have it wrong with 1) not starting/ending with ^$ 2) escaping the dot 3) escaping the question mark 4) matching the equals sign 5) or something else? This is code that works (Provided by another member of Stack Overflow): sqlStr = "USE "&databaseNameRecordSet.Fields.Item("name")&";SELECT permission_name FROM fn_my_permissions(null, 'database')" This code checks what permissions I have on a given database - the problem being - if I dont have permission it throws an error and doesn't continue to draw the rest of my page.
