    Hello, I'm working on a c++ code that uses SDL/opengl. Is this possible to create a pointer to a quadric with 'gluNewQuadric()' before having initialized opengl with 'SDL_SetVideoMode'? The idea is to create a class with a (pointer to a) quadric class member that has to be instantiate before the 'SDL_SetVideoMode' call. This pointer is initialized in the class' constructor with a 'gluNewQuadric()' call.

    Should it be all fields, including super-fields, of a purposively immutable java class 'final' in order to be thread-safe or is it enough to have no modifier methods? Suppose I have a POJO with non-final fields where all fields are type of some immutable class. This POJO has getters-setters, and a constructor wich sets some initial value. If I extend this POJO with knocking out modifier methods, thus making it immutable, will extension class be thread-safe?

    Hi, I tried to move my mysql data dir from one disk to another, I modified the datadir parameter in my.cnf, but when XAMPP, and more precisely, MySQL starts, this error is displayed and MySQL doesn't run. Operation could not be completed. (XAMPPErrorDomain error 1.) What's the problem here? I correctly specified the new path.

  • Install MegaCli to Monitor Perc 5/i in Nexentastor 3

    I have a Dell 2950 with a Perc 5/i Raid controller that we've already installed Nexentastor 3 Community Edition on. We setup a raid-10 array that and put a ZFS pool on top of the hardware. As I understand, in this configuration ZFS/Nexentastor will not be able to tell when a disk fails in the array. Obviously, this is not optimal. Since the Dell Perc 5/i controller is a rebranded LSI controller, you should be able to use the MegaCli utility to manage the array and monitor its condition. I had seen in a separate forum that the Perc 5/i is very similar to the LSI MegaRAID 8480E, so I tried installing the MegaCli utility at the link below.     Is there any way to change the default mouse cursor on OSX Mavericks? More precisely, I'd like to make it look like in windows, and even more precisely I want to move the 'point' where the mouse cursor actually 'clicks' - on windows it's on the very end of the arrow, even outside of it, and on mac it's a little inside the arrow. I've done some research, and all the websites either tell me to get Mighty Mouse, which doesn't work on my system, and other's tell me how to change the size of my cursor.
