• Adding Parsekit To An Xcode Project

  I am trying to add the Parsekit framework to my OSX Xcode project. I've never added a 3rd party framework before and I can't get it to work right. I dragged the included Xcode project into my 'Groups & Files' pane and chose to Add it to my project. I then dragged Parsekit.framework underneath the Link Binary With Libraries heading. Then I double-clicked my target app and added Parsekit as a Direct Dependency. I also added libicucore.dylib as a Linked Library (as it says to do this on their site). Finally, in the Build settings tab of my target info I set the Header Search Paths to /Users/path/to/include/directory and the Other Linker Flags to -ObjC -all_load. Running this as a debug build work fine with no errors. However, when I build my app to release and then try to run the executable created, the app fails to load with the following error message: MyApp cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure myApp works with this version of Mac OS X. • Silverlight Cannot find XML data source

  Hello.. I am very new to Silverlight development. I understand that this is client side technology therefore the paradyme is differant from that of conventional ASP.NET development. Having said that, I don't understand where my server side code is deployed. I have a silver light \ MVC application. I am trying to read an XML document from within my 'Models' folder. The following peice of code is executed from within a class that is in the same location as the XML document, 'Models'. The load() results in a SystemIOFileNotFound exception. I noticed that when building the application the XML document is not laid down in the same location as the web project's assembly. I assume this is specific to the fact that this is a Silverlight project. • Personal project in Java

  My first project in java is going to be a program (eventually I have to create a GUI interface but for now CLI would do) to keep track of my books (something similar to what libraries have only a simpler). I need to be able to insert, update, remove, show all books, update, search(by name or author or date). For the design I was thinking one main class Library which will have all of the above as methods that connect to the db and retrieve the data. Is this approach ok? I realize it's simple but it's my first real project and I would appreciate a little feedback. Also, is it too soon to consider reading up on design patterns and database design ?

• VS2010 always thinks project is out of date but nothing has changed

  I have a very simmilar problem as described here. I also upgraded a mixed solution of C++/CLI and C# projects from VS2008 to VS2010. And one C++/CLI project always runs out of date. Even if it has been compiled and linked just before and F5 is hit the messagebox "The project is out of date. Would you like to build it?" appears. My pdb settings are set to default value (suggested solution of this problem). Any ideas?

  I have a 20-year-old project that I would like to migrate from RCS to git, without losing the history. All web pages suggest that the One True Path is through CVS. But after an hour of Googling and trying different scripts, I have yet to find anything that successfully converts my RCS project tree to CVS. I'm hoping the good people at Stackoverflow will know what actually works, as opposed to what is claimed to work and doesn't. (I searched Stackoverflow using both the native SO search and a Google search, but if there's a helpful answer in the database, I missed it.) • sql exception when transferring project from usb to c:\

  I'm working on a C# windows program with Visual Studio 2008. Usually, I work from school, directly on my usb drive. But when I copy the folder on my hard drive at home, an sql exception is unhandled whenever I try to write to the database. it is unhandled at the conn.Open(); line. here's the exception unhandled Database 'L:\system\project\the_project\the_project\bin\Debug\PatientMonitoringDatabase.mdf' already exists. Choose a different database name. • CodeIgniter Project Giving 303/Compression Error

  Trying to setup a CodeIgniter based project for local development (LAMP stack), and once all the config file were updated (meaning I successfully had meaningful bootstrap errors for CodeIgniter), I get this error in my browsers: Chrome Error 330 (net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED): Unknown error. Firefox Content Encoding Error: The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression. Just using wget to fetch the file works fine, no errors and I get the content I'm expecting. Not sure if this is something with CI and the Server, or just something weird with the project. Has anyone seen this before?

  Is it possible to retrieve the complete message source (similar tu Unix Mbox format) using Zend_Mail_Storage_Pop3 from the Zend Framework? I'm using the following code to retrieve messages: $mail = new Zend_Mail_Storage_Pop3(array('host' => 'localhost', 'user' => 'test', 'password' => 'test')); echo $mail->countMessages() . " messages found\n"; foreach ($mail as $message) { echo "Mail from '{$message->from}': {$message->subject}\n"; } It looks like the $mail object contains the message already split up into fields (ie. headers, contents, etc.). Is there any way to retrieve the original message source? I would like to be able to store it so if I need to parse the message again using a different tool, I will have the necessary information.

I am working on a home based, solo developer, project that now has commercial significance and it is time to think about remote source code backup. There is no need for file level check in/out, all I need is once a day or once a week directory level snapshot to remote storage. Automatic encryption would be a bonus to protect my IP. • A better way of switching between Android source versions

  I would like to be able to switch between various android releases (1.0, 1.5, 2.0, etc.) and then access them via the file system to copy all files for that version into a tarball. Currently I am just running repo init -u <source URL> -b release-1. to get each version (changing the tag for each version I need). If this was a single git, I could check out the branch/tag I needed and the prject directory would "morph" to reflect then and I could just tar that folder. since the android source is split into multiple git repositories controlled by repo I have not yet found a way to change this other then the method mentioned above. any suggestions are appreciated.

  I've recently installed and started using TFS. Mainly using for source repository initially and then will get into using the Work Item features. I'm moving from using Vault as repository and have some questions on best practices for setting up the project structure. My current structure from Vault is: Projects - CustomerName1 -- Application1 -- Application2 - CustomerName2 -- Application1 -- Application2 Can I have a smiliar structure in TFS? Is there any good documentation that has real examples and instructions on how to set this up? From what I see is all real basic and the books I have don't have real-life repository examples that mimic the structure I have. I have created a new Team Project called CustomerName1, then added other Team Projects, Application1, underneath CustomerName1. However, I lose on the Application1 the separate folders like Work Items, Documents, Reports, and Builds. So this doesn't appear set-up correctly. Thanks ...
