• Spring/RMI server error

  We have a Spring MVC web app (WAR) deploying to Tomcat (6.0.35) that launches a thread inside a separate JVM at deploy time (don't ask why - not my design) and then communicates with that thread via RMI over port 8888. Despite being totally convoluded, this was working perfectly fine up until yesterday, and now the thread is failing at startup and despite our best efforts to add logging into the mix, we are hitting a wall. Based on the verbage of this error, does anybody have any idea what might be causing this "connection refused" error? Running a netstat -an | grep 8888 (this is a Linux machine) produces no output which means nothing is listening on that port. Thanks in advance for any ideas/suggestions that lead to a fix. ERROR 1062 (23000) at line 1893: Duplicate entry '179-81-0' for key 'UNQ_CAT_PRD_ENTT_DTIME_ENTT_ID_ATTR_ID_STORE_ID' Probably you have faced the similar issue as I am.If I take the value '179-81-0' I am sure 179 is the product id but not sure about other -81-0.Also in other threads it was suggested to delete the row from the table but without knowing 100% what I am doing it would be a foolish act to just delete the row.I need to know what exactly is it. • telling java to accept self-signed ssl certificate

  It looks like a standard question, but I couldn't find clear directions anywhere. I have java code trying to connect server with probably self-signed (or expired) certificate. It gives something like this [HttpMethodDirector] I/O exception (javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException) caught when processing request: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target As I understand, I have to play around with keytool and tell java that it's ok to allow this connection. But all comments I've found assume I'm fully proficient with keytool, like "generate private key for server and import it into keystore". And I'm not. Is there anybody who could post detailed instructions? I'm running unix, so bash script would be best. Not sure if it's important, but code executed in jboss. Thanks a lot!

When I start up the web application (that features only the listener), should the listener automatically start? Or do I need additional configuration? Here's what I have.   I have a time series of two indexes, with each row representing the closing price on the same day. I'd like to go to row 30 and lookback over the last 30 'days' and calculate the pearson correlation. And then store that value in a new vector. Then, repeat the calculation for the entire time series. It is a trivial task in Excel, so I'm convinced it can be done in R. I don't know the method to use though.

Basically am opening a csv file to write into it in my BLO class using inside its constructor as I am creating an object of BLO and passing in file from command prompt: Code: $this->fin = fopen($file,'w+') or die('Cannot open file'); Now inside BLO I have one function notifiy, which call has dependency to DAO class and call getCurrentDBSnapshot function from the Dao and passes the open stream so that data gets populated into the stream. Now I want to close the file which I opened for writing and so it should be fclose of $outputFile or $data, because in both the cases it gives me: var_dump(fclose($outputFile)) as bool(false) var_dump(fclose($data)) as bool(false) and var_dump($outputFile) as resource(9) of type (Unknown) var_dump($data) as resource(9) of type (Unknown) My question is that if I open file using fopen in class A and if I call class B method from Class A method and pass an open stream, in our case $data, than Class B would perform some work and return back and open stream and so How can I close that open stream in Class A's method or it is ok to keep that stream open and not use fclose ? Would appreciate inputs as am not very sure as how this can be implemented.

• Appengine not liking my .jspx files

  I have a little app that runs fine on local dev appengine, but appengine itself is not processing my .jspx files. The jspx files are in WEB-INF so they should not be excluded by appengine (as a static resource) I am using Apache Tiles to define my views.   I'm having trouble adding an Entity Framework entity to a ObjectContext's EntitySet automatically using the WPF 4.0 DataGrid's add functionality. Here's the setup: DataGrid--BoundTo--ListCollectionView--BoundTo--EntitySet When I interactively add a row to the DataGrid, the EntitySet does not have a new entity added to it. Updating the row's cell data does in fact update the bound entity's properties, however. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

• why cant I more than two values from 3 different tables in one query

  This is strange. In the news details page, I want to take a few different values from different tables with one query. However, for some strange reason, I only get two values back.
