"c:\program files\myapp" is default folder for my application.Included script to run myapp on startUp.I'm having windows 7 But it always fail to start on start-up of machine.   • How to execute a batch file from C#?

    I didn't think this was going to be hard. I have a commmand file, d:\a.cmd which contains: copy /b d:\7zS.sfx + d:\config.txt + d:\files.7z d:\setup.exe But this line of C# wont' execute it: Process.Start("d:\\a.cmd"); Throws Win32Exception: "%1 is not a valid Win32 application." Process.Start opens .pdf files...why not execute command files? Thanks in advance, Jim

  • Why does "request.getUserPrincipal().getName()" sometimes return a blank string?

    Has somebody an idea, why the getName method of the requests getUserPrincipal Method sometimes provides an empty String? Most of the time it returns the correct user name but not every time. This behaviour does occur randonmly. I can start the application, run the command and it works. The next time I start the application and run the command (exactly the same way as before!) it does not work... Any ideas?

    I'm trying to setup a Pinax demo to work on and I've tried it under both Windows and FreeBSD with no luck...in both OS's, the virtual environment is created without a hitch, but then the following happens: For Windows, I can start the virtal environment and clone one of the sample projects as my starting point....however, running: manage.py syncdb Gives this error:Error: Can't import Pinax.     My work PC has restrictions that stop me from adding programs to the start menu so when I try to install Python using the Python 2.6.5 Windows installer it can't complete as it tries to add a shortcut to my start menu. Is there a way around this? I.e another way of installing without the need for a shortcut? Edit: I'll also need to install NumPy which I can't do on the Portable version of Python.

set; } } } I remember i had this codec problem/s before and i installed the codec/'s that were needed but in this case both quick time and windows media player can play the video files so why the application cant detect and find the codec/'s on my computer ? Gspot say that the codec is AVC1 but again wmp and quicktime play the video files no problems. The video files are from my digital camera !

    I am way too indecisive. I have an idea for a (admittedly craptastic) GUI program, so I start writing it in C# .NET WinForms. Then like halfway through I'm like, damn I should have written this in Qt. So I start writing it in Qt and remember why I hate C++ STL iterators so much.
