• Various way to send data to the web server

  Client Environment : Windows XP , Internet connection Available, PHP Not installed. Server Environment : CentOS , Internet connection Available, PHP , MYsql installed. Data are stored in files at client machine , suggest better ways to send data fetched from the file to the server. Normally i would be using HTTP request using Curl to send the data to the server but client machine doesnt have php installed. What all are the ways to send data to the server and the comparisons?

  HI, I am using LDAP which is installed in a solaris machine. To check the version of LDAP i go to /ldap and check the version installed as if it is version 5 then there is a directory of the name v5.0 and so on. After getting into the directory i check the directory structure. Can anybody tell me is there any shortest way or one liner to check the version of ldap installed in my machine. Thanks in advance.

• perforce exclude subfolder from diff

  I have added an exclusion to my workspace which is called "dev-machine" -//depot/DotNetProject/bin/... //dev-machine/bin/... The bin folder now shows as excluded in p4diff but... The differences are still showing i.e. diff 1 of 11 and the next and previous arrows are still taking me into those excluded folders. Am I missing something obvious here?

I see that StackOverflow ignore FormsAuthentication and instead implemented a different strategy to persist a login cookie. Pros Out of the box implementation for persistent login feature. Cons The login feature depends on the machine key which mean that I need to make sure that the machine key is the same on all the servers in the farm. The cookie contains wired encrypted values that don't really make sense to store in the cookie.

  Hello, I am having a rather strange problem, I deployed 2 .NET applications on my machine. Both run on v2.0. Now, while one of it works smoothly, the other one doesn't even start! Moreover, it doesn't throw any error, I couldn't see any error listings in the Event Viewer. Becoming hard to debug. On every other machine, both the exe's work perfectly fine! Any known issues? This would be great, since we have a database with old data and I'm trying to test some queries that use getdate(). • Subversion import existing project is much smaller than first checkout

  I have an existing project that I imported into subversion using TortoiseSVN. Total project size says 1.45MB. Total folder size on my machine is 9.72MB. Create new folder, right-click, checkout 7.14MB transferred and 19.4MB on my machine. Can anyone explain this to me? I did a quick KDiff on the folders and they're identical.
