• Saving images inside iPhone application without using database or server side saving technique

  Hi Fellas, I am developing an application which requires saving images in the "saved folder" of iPhone Photo album after performing some animations on ImageViews. Is it possible to save the incomplete images temporarily in the iphone application without using database or server side saving technique, so that user can use it for future use and only completely changed ones should get saved in Photo Album? • Rails - why would a model inside RAILS_ROOT/lib not be available in production mode?

  Hi - I have a class located inside RAILS_ROOT/lib folder, which I use in one of my helpers, and it works great in development. When I switch to production, the application throws a NameError (uninitialized constant SomeHelper::SomeClass), and I have to load it manually in the helper: load "#{Rails.root}/lib/some_class.rb" module SomeHelper def some_method sc = SomeClass.new # blah end end I was under the impression that everything inside RAILS_ROOT/lib/* should be available all to the app - is there anything I need to configure to make this happen in prod mode? thanks.

A view that can allow a user to create/delete/insert/update tables should do. I remember using a software similar to this but dont remember what it was. It would also be great if its in PHP.

We have a great deal of our build environment in our repository so that we can check a given version out and rebuild it fairly close to what was in use at that time. We have the following in there now: InnoSetup binaries Third Party Components VCL (including Indy) Our Source (of course) Finalbuilder project files The only thing missing is the binaries for Delphi itself - I am wondering if there is a minimum set of files that can be copied to the repository and run.   Does anyone have any good stories of these kinds of organizations being open to using open source (such as tools like Maven etc). Many staff I've encountered have little or no exposure to open source/systems and open source is treated with great suspicion. Some reasons given for this are lack of support and robustness, which is ironic given the number of end-of-life unsupported vendor products that are in production. Bonus points for any success stories where you've seen open source go into orgs like this and have a real benefit!

However, I really want my folding to be persisted when I close and re-open files. It is quite frustrating to have folding set up in a file the way I like it, only to have that lost when I restart Emacs. Has anyone found a way to keep the folding state of a file persistent?

  Hey i'm using JSON with appengine. I'm using json for comunication, so in the python side i have import json the error i'm getting is this: <class 'django.core.exceptions.ViewDoesNotExist'>: Could not import views.ganttapp. Error was: No module named json In my stand alone this works great, is there any problem with json on the app engine? or should I use another module?   I have a Rsync program Deltacopy with an executable as client and server but would like to replace this if possible with a pure Ruby implementation of Rsync. I found gems like six-rsync and rsync-update but they seem to be no general implementations. I'm looking for a pure Ruby solution, so no executables involved and preferably runnable on multiple OS. If possible a simple sample would be great. I only look for Rsync, no other transfer or backup solutions please.

  Hi, I have a problem with Latex -- I don't know how to put mathematical equations and symbols in listings. I use --listings-- package and it's offers great looking listings, but it doesn't allow math symbols in $ .. $. Another package --algorithms-- allows math, but listings doesn't look as good as in --listings-- (the problem is that --algorithms-- demands to get new line after every --if--, --then--, etc.) Thanks for reply Michal

• Is it possible to make WebLogic check REDEPLOY file more often?

  [sorry for apparent shouting in the title, it's just that the file is named in all uppercase] Given advice in http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2695124 I successfully implemented and have been using autodeployment in WebLogic. This works great, but a tad too slow to my tastes, it seems like about 10 seconds pass between touching REDEPLOY file and WebLogic's start of redeployment. Is there any way I can instruct WebLogic to test timestamp on that file more often?

• highlight parent window text when spell checking from child window

  I'm working on a simple spell checking app for a lecture that I'm giving. I've got the basic spell checking code working just fine using a child form and NHunspell - great lib, by the way. However, I'd like for the parent textbox to show the highlighted text for reference, and while I'm setting the SelectedText properties accordingly, the text is not highlighted in the parent. Canceling the child window and the parent text is highlighted. Anybody know how I can do this?
