  • Multiline select in notepad++

    In sublime text if I perform a find for an occurrence of a particular word not only is this occurrence found but it also selected and has the cursor at the end of each occurrence so that pushing the right arrow key the cursor will move the cursor to the beginning of each occurrence simultaneously so that I can perform whatever operation I wish on all the selections. Does notepad++ have something similar to this feature? I know that I can multi-line select by Ctrl+ mouse click, but I just wanting to know of an automated so to speak way of doing this in notepad++

Where's the back button to go back to the page I was on (where I clicked the hyperlink). Let's say I'm on the index of a PDF tutorial, page 4, and I click on Chapter 2's hyperlink in the index that takes me to page 38. Now, if I want to go back to page 4 again, which button or shortcut should I use?

I know I can do this in command line by piping one search result to another, but I am looking for a GUI tool. Here is a sample search, I would like to find all files that has extension ".java". From the result, find all files that has a specific word. From the result, select few files, and search only those files with another keyword.

    I'm doing a word search using the following command: find . -exec grep -q [some_word] '{}' \; -print -o -name .svn -prune -o -name .ssh -prune -o -name .boneyard -o -name log -prune -prune -o -name tmp -prune Is it possible to use a regex to exclude all hidden directories? Note: The current command traverses the entire tree from the current location and exclude those being pruned. The exclusion needs to work for any hidden directory regardless off location.

  • Can I have the Windows 7 taskbar pinned icons change like they do when unpinned?

    I just discovered that if Windows Explorer is unpinned from my taskbar it displays the icon of the currently active folder. This is what I see if it's pinned But if it's unpinned I see the current icon. Downloads: Documents: C: I really like seeing the "correct" icon, and I've noticed this also applies to other programs that have varying icons. Is there a way I can have explorer pinned, but to see the icons as though it's unpinned?

I need to separate them out but the issue is the first column is words that sometimes are one word and sometimes two.     Hi, I've tried to rebuild my search index but it does not seem to help. When i search for anything even command I either get an empty list or a list of short cuts with the names Programs Documents Files ... They all have the default white paper icon. If I click on them I get an error message that says Internet security settings prevented one or more files from being opened. Any ideas? thanks

    Possible Duplicate: Recover data loss from accidental quick format My husband downloaded windows 7 to my computer (previously vista) and in the process, deleted everything I had on my computer. He did it without telling me, so nothing was backed up before the transfer. Now, all of my documents, and my entire itunes library are gone. Please tell me there's something I can do. I downloaded itunes again, but nothing is there. Help!

  • CUDA linking error - Visual Express 2008 - nvcc fatal due to (null) configuration file

    Hi, I've been searching extensively for a possible solution to my error for the past 2 weeks. I have successfully installed the Cuda 64-bit compiler (tools) and SDK as well as the 64-bit version of Visual Studio Express 2008 and Windows 7 SDK with Framework 3.5. I'm using windows XP 64-bit. I have confirmed that VSE is able to compile in 64-bit as I have all of the 64-bit options available to me using the steps on the following website: (since Visual Express does not inherently include the 64-bit packages) http://jenshuebel.wordpress.com/2009/02/12/visual-c-2008-express-edition-and-64-bit-targets/ I have confirmed the 64-bit compile ability since the "x64" is available from the pull-down menu under "Tools-Options-VC++ Directories" and compiling in 64-bit does not result in the entire project being "skipped". I have included all the needed directories for 64-bit cuda tools, 64 SDK and Visual Express (\VC\bin\amd64).     Hey, I've been building a silverlight application and a WCF service for a while now and recently tried to host them in IIS7. I installed IIS7 on Windows Server 2008 R2 and added these two application to my default website. I am having a number of problems so im hoping one of you can help out... 1) The silverlight and WCF service applications do not work with pass-through authentication. I need to "connect as" the administrator server account when setting up the application. I read online that you should only need to use the "connect as" field when you are connecting to another computer. If i dont supply the admin credentials i get this error. Do i have to set up permissions somewhere else? HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error The requested page cannot be accessed because the related configuration data for the page is invalid.     This is a homework problem. I'm already 5 days late and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.. this is my 1st semester in Java and my first post on this site Here is the assignment.. Create a class called Calendar. The class should contain a variable called events that is a String array. The array should be created to hold 5 elements. Use a constant value to specify the array size. Do not hard code the array size. Initialize the array in the class constructor so that each element contains the string “ – No event planned – “. The class should contain a method called CreateEvent. This method should accept a String argument that contains a one-word user event and an integer argument that represents the day of the week. Monday should be represented by the number 1 and Friday should be represented by the number 5. Populate the events array with the event info passed into the method. Although the user will input one-word events, each event string should prepend the following string to each event: event_dayAppoinment: (where event_day is the day of the week) For example, if the user enters 1 and “doctor” , the first array element should read: Monday Appointment: doctor If the user enters 2 and “PTA” , the second array element should read: Tuesday Appointment: PTA Write a driver program (in a separate class) that creates and calls your Calendar class. Then use a loop to gather user input. Ask for the day (as an integer) and then ask for the event (as a one word string). Pass the integer and string to the Calendar object’s CreateEvent method. The user should be able enter 0 – 5 events. If the user enters -1, the loop should exit and your application should print out all the events in a tabular format. Your program should not allow the user to enter invalid values for the day of the week. Any input other than 1 – 5 or -1 for the day of the week would be considered invalid. Notes: When obtaining an integer from the user, you will need to use the nextInt() method on your Scanner object.     I'm not sure how to fix this or what I did wrong, but whenever I enter in a value it just closes out the run prompt. So, seems I do have a problem somewhere in my coding. Whenever I run the program and input a variable, it always returns the same answer.."The content at location 76 is 0." On that note, someone told me that "I don't know, but I suspect that Program A incorrectly has a fixed address being branched to on instructions 10 and 11." - mctylr but I'm not sure how to fix that.. I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate this idea from R Samuel Klatchko..     I need to add the ability to take a screenshot of the entire screen, not just the current window.     I am trying to type documents in Hindi language. My OS: Ubuntu 11.10 Gnome environment (http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=gnome-session-fallback) I do not use unity interface.The method is shown here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LL7icGNhIfI I am able to type in Hindi in Libreoffice and gedit as well with method shown above.But this is a very difficult way of typing because I have to remember all the English Keys corresponding to the Hindi words as mapped here http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/5/html-single/International_Language_Support_Guide/images/hindi.png What I want to be able to do is type phonetically and not use above kind of keyboard. I have US English keyboard in my laptop. I expect to be able to type phonetically (given with above phonetic selection) what is happening is I have to type like using a QWERTY keyboard for Hindi language which is deviation from expected behavior. How can I rectify or achieve correct behavior?
