  hi guys, Hi have a prob of load balancing we developed a web app using nearly 1500/- users parallely so the number of users increased we are unable to serve the requests that much of faster, its takes around 10 to 20 sec to load a page if page having heavy weight it takes 1min also. we need to solve this situation and we have to serve each request with in 2 to 3 sec App develped in : asp.net hosted in : IIS 7.5 Machine configuration : Windows server 2008 8GB RAM 1MBPS band width

• If a user is part of two TFS security groups, why do they (appear to) receive the lesser security of the two?

  Given two TFS security groups Admins: Contains a set of Windows users Friends: Contains a Windows Security Group (which is also used as a mailing list) However, the people listed as admins are also part of the security group. It appears that when I lock down the Friends group to certain directories in TFS, the people in Admin also lose their privileges. Is there any way for users to receive the maximum security allowed between multiple groups they are included in? Or have I perhaps setup my TFS security groups incorrectly?

  We are using Exchange 2010. I would like to retrieve a list of total sent emails and received emails from all users in the work place. The list should have all the users' names, then total of sent and received emails. I have tried the code below and tried to change this to no avail. • Enterprise Wireless Authentication without Active Directory

  We are in the process of redoing our wireless access network and would like to know if there is any method to get Windows clients/users access to the network using 802.1x WITHOUT having an Active Directory server for authentication and WITHOUT installing additional software on each and every client. Note that we already use Radius servers, LDAP servers (all on CentOS). Users employ a variety of clients including Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS.

• Limit display/session resolution for machines @ VDI environment on RDS 2012

  I have couple of windows 7 entprise virtual machines in collection as part of VDI environment - so users connecting to them through RDS 2012 web site. Is there any way to fix resolution of remote desktops, that user receives (instead of full screen all time) ? I've tried different group policies, but none of them are worked, probably because all those policies are for RDS sessions and not virtual desktops ... And i don't know how to limit resolution locally on win7 machine itself, so connecting users will receive fixed resolution.

• Windows 2003 Server Caching

  We're experiencing almost everyday table index corruption on Windows Server 2003. We are running an old application which uses DBF/CDX tables. Everything was fine for ages, but 6 months after we've installed Advantage Database Server (which allows access to some tables to our website) we started to get index corruption problems. And we don't know whom to blame. We've tried to exclude all possible causes of this corruption. Now all users work in terminal mode - so no network problems can cause that, OpLocks also can't be a reason. We changed hardware, network cards, switches, reainstalled Server and even moved to new dedicated server. The only thing we can't exclude is ADS - because it should be working. Is that possible that local read/write caching that causes that problem? E.g. one user or process uses cached data, later another user/process changes it, and later the first user changes it again without knowing about the first change. Is it possible theoretically? Is it possible that this problem is caused by imporper file server or caching settings? Is it possible that normal users use non-cached data and ADS is using cached data? Or vice versa? Is it possible that each terminal user has its own cache? Or maybe the problem is about RAID caching somehow interfering with Windows Server caching? Or maybe there are some special settings for Windows Server for working with DBF tables that are being written simultaneously by several terminal users? Maybe there is a way to turn off caching for some certain files to check it? Sometimes we get index crash twice a day, sometimes everything is fine for 5 days in a row. Today only one user was working in the evening with the database (usually there are 30-50 users are working simultaneously on working hours). So it's almost zero load on server. , Syncronization with website is performed every 5 minutes during work hours and every 15 minutes in the evening and on weekend. We've done file access auditing and it shows that during website syncroniztions ADS server opens the table and index files for ReadEA and WriteEA though it performs only SELECT queries. ADS does UPDATE/INSERT queries but less freqently - not during regular synchronizations, but only when an order is placed by website visitor). Please help me. We are struggling with this problem for almost a year and still can't find any pattern or any clue about this problem. • Windows authentication skip for one folder and allow local domain's user

  I have intranet application with windows authentication on it. Annonymous users are not allowed. Now i am trying to add one subfolder which should be allowed to local domain users too. I enabled "annonymous access" iis on that subfolder and that worked. but i am using AJAX(timer control) on one of page of that subfolder and when timer_ticks it gives "sys is undefined error". any idea to solve this issue?   I recently changed permissions on my external usb drive so users by default dont have read permission. Now i realize i cannot search through the drive. after setting 'everyone' permission to read i could again. How do i set it so everyone does not have read permission except for my username (i hate clicking yes to admin prompt everytime i move a file) and allow the system to search the drive when users are allowed to access those files?

  The problem is the following: I have a camera D-Link securicam dcs-2121 (http://www.dlink.com.sg/products/?idproduct=310) it has its own web-server and works perfectly with a few connected users, but what I want is to make a lot amount of users able to connect and watch videostream, built-in server can't get trough many connections. We have to set up many exhange users who will only be able to access exchange through the outlook web access. I want to avoid users bypassing Internet access policies by concurently connect to LAN and 3G/Hotspot. We have many developers and they have local administrator rights on workstations. Developers should be able to connect virutual networks (VMware/VirutalPC/Hyper-V/VirutalBox). Other users should be able to use only one network connection concurently.

  I've managed to configure my test Ubuntu 10.04 Beta 2 Server VM to accept logins (via ssh) from users who have domain accounts in active directory via Kerberos, nsswitch.conf and PAM configurations. The final thing I'd like to happen is locating their home directory on a Windows server share. Each domain account ($USER) has a windows share ala: \\winsrvr\users\$USER. Can someone push me in the direction I need to go?

• Maintain share permissions migrating from Windows 2003 to Samba 3.5 or 4

  The title says it all. I'm interested in replacing a Windows file server with a Linux Samba file server, but the caveat is that share/folder permissions must be preserved. We'd be using the new active directory authentication in Samba, so the two servers would at least be in the same domain to make things a little simpler, and all the users/groups are domain-level users/groups. Does anyone know if this is possible?

• Using Dropbox as a cloud based file share - does everyone need an upgraded account?

  I've got a server where a number of users are sharing user logins for a short period of time to prevent too many people from logging in at the same time. The users are connecting over remote desktop, but the problem is that when one user is busy doing something, another user logs in as the same user and disconnects the active session. Is there any way of preventing one user from logging in and disconnecting the same username who is already connected to somewhere else?

• What is the best way to migrate to a new file share in a new domain?

The problem I am facing is that when I set up a new Gitorious project and limit read access permissions to specific users, the repositories inside the project are not visible any more. • OpenAM Membership module does not notify admin of new inactive accounts

  I am using OpenAM to authenticate users and OpenDJ as the user directory. I have enabled the membership module that allows users to self register, but I have not found any way to notify the admin that a new account needs to be approved. This seems like something that would just be a matter of entering an admin email and configuring smtp, but I have not found anywhere to enter an email address to receive these notifications. Though I have been able to send "password reset" emails so smtp is working at least.

• Cannot access windows share folder

  In my windows domain, there's been happening a problem with the access to some of our shared folders: There appears a "the account is disabled" problem whe trying to access those. When looking at the the Active Directory Groups and Users snap-in, there's no user blocked nor disabled and the users trying to access the shared folders don't have any problem logging in on their respective computers. Needless to say, they have proper permissions on the network shares to be accessed. What might be the problem?
