  • idlj Ignoring "#pragma prefix"

    I have an IDL file that has a "#pragma prefix" directive, but whenever I use idlj to build the Java code, it ignores this and generates an _id without the prefix specified. This is a big problem because when _is_a is used, it always returns false, since my generated code does not contain the expected prefix. Please help! Thanks in advance!

    Hi, I'm trying to optimize my page load times, and I'm using Pingdom to test the site response times. However, I'm not exactly sure what the various components of the "time bar" mean. Example link: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/?url=http://neosmart.net/forums//&id=2230361 According to them, the portion of the bar that is yellow is the time between "start" and "connect" and the portion of the bar that is green is the time between "connect" and "first byte" with the blue section being the actual transfer time (time between "first byte" and "last byte"). If I'm trying to the first two (which take very long in my case), what's the recommended course of action? Thanks.

  • Change color of text within a WinForms RichTextBox

    I have a RichTextBox that I write a string to every time I click a Form button. The string ends with a newline so each time I add a string, it appends to the bottom of the RichTextBox. Each string begins with the string "Long" or "Short" and ends with Environment.NewLine. I'd like to color each line red if it beings with "Long" and blue if it begins with "Short". How can I do this?     I have a little bit of a problem in a multitasking java department. To work with threads I'm using public static int THREAD_NUMBER = 4; public static ExecutorServide es = Executors.newFixedThreadPool(THREAD_NUMBER); adding instances of ThreadWroker class happens here: public void recursiveMethod(Arraylist<Integers> elements, MyClass data){ if (elements.size() == 0 && data.qualifies()){ ThreadWorker tw = new ThreadWorker(data); es.execute(tw); return; } for (int i=0; i< elements.size(); i++){ // some code to prevent my problem MyClass data1 = new MyClass(data); MyClass data2 = new MyClass(data); ArrayList<Integer> newElements = (ArrayList<Integer>)elements.clone(); data1.update(elements.get(i)); data2.update(-1 * elements.get(i)); newElements.remove(i); recursiveMethod(newElements, data1); recursiveMethod(newElements, data2); { } and the problem is that the depth of the recursion tree is quite big, so as it's width, so a lot of ThreadWorkers are added to the ExecutorService, so after some time on the big input a get Exception in thread "pool-1-thread-2" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space which is caused, as I think because of a ginormous number of ThreadWorkers i'm adding to ExecutorSirvice to be executed, so it runs out of memory. Every ThreadWorker takes about 40 Mb of RAM for all it needs. Is there a method to get how many threads (instances of classes implementing runnable interface) have been added to ExecutorService? So I can add it in the shown above code (int the " // some code to prevent my problem"), as while ("number of threads in the ExecutorService" > 10){ Thread.sleep(10000); } so I won't go to deep or to broad with my recursion and prevent those exception-throwing situations.     Hi there, I'm having trouble making a simple shape move along a path in IE7 (the only version of IE I tried, actually). The following code works fine in chrome and firefox, but not IE. I couldn't find an obvious reason, has anybody seen something similar? canvas.path(rPath.path).attr("stroke", "blue"); var circle = canvas.circle(rPath.startX, rPath.startY, 5); circle.animateAlong(rPath.path, 3000, true); My rPath variable has the path and the starting point coordinates. Microsoft script debugger points to this line as the one where the code breaks: os.left != (t = x - left + "px") && (os.left = t); (line 2131 inside the uncompressed raphael.js script file, inside Element[proto].setBox = function (params, cx, cy) {...}) Any ideas? Any experience (good or bad) with raphael's animateAlong in IE7? TIA, Andrei

  • Alpha transparent PNGs not displaying correctly in Mobile Safari

    I'm using some semi-transparent PNGs as background-images on various websites. These are usually something like a 1x1 image with a 30-percent opaque white layer. I've noticed that Mobile Safari does not display them correctly, giving them a darker/grayish tint. I've created a couple test pages to illustrate. View them both in your normal browser, and then on Mobile Safari, and you should see what I mean. This shows 11 red images of varying opacities on white: http://thecompleteworks.org/alpha-tests/index-red.html This shows 11 white images of varying opacities on blue: http://thecompleteworks.org/alpha-tests/index.html Is this a MobileSafari bug (I couldn't imagine so), or do I need to do something different, either to my pages or PNGs? (Here's how I create the PNGs: In Photoshop, create a 1x1 transparent canvas. Draw a white rectangle in Layer 1. Set opacity to, say 30 percent, Save for Web as 24-bit PNG with transparency.)

  • jquery ui datepicker is huge

    Hi, im trying to add a datepicker to my symfony application and i got it working, but the size of the datepicker is about 3 times bigger than normal (on the demo page). I have not edited any CSS, i just used the default ui lightness theme no modifications. Does anybody have any idea why the size is blown up so big?     Hi everyone, i'm trying to realize non-editable QTableView with widgets in cells that should contain clickable listed text. With following code i'm setting widget in definite cell: view = QTableView() label = QLabel( <some html text> ) ... view.setIndexWidget(index, label) I used html to make label's text clickable, but links became blue with underline and moreover by clicking on it with right mouse button appears popup menu with "Copy Link Locaion" option, where i wanted to place some hidden information instead of url and of course do not let user see this info. I'm looking for light-weight widget, i thought that insertion of QGraphicsView in each cell will lead to big computer loads, but can't think of any other solution. Can you advice what should i use for this purpose? Thank you in advance Serge

  • Navigation bar's buttons tint color sometimes not set

    Refer to the following, short video: http://screencast.com/t/cmnsqVTh The problem is with the color of a navigation bar's back button. The first time I load the app, the navigation bar + its buttons have the default color. I then push a view controller on the stack, and when the new view loads (in the viewDidLoad method), it sets the navigation bar's tint color to pink. The nav bar's buttons are also pink as expected. I then press the back button, and the view is popped from the stack. On the root view controller's viewWillAppear method I set the tint color back to nil so that it's the default color again. The navigation bar looks as expected. However if I push the view controller on the stack yet again, the navigation bar's tint color is pink, but the back button's color is the default light blue. Hope that was understandable. So what's the cause of the problem?

    Hi Im programming webserver (C), which should send big files. My question is: What are the main differneces in two syscalls: write and sendfile. Does sendfile depends on size of socket system buffer ? I noticed that write often writes less then i requested. For example, if got many requests for one file: should i open it, copy into memory and use 'write', or maybe i can do 'sendfile' for each client ? thx in advance for all answers

  • Splashscreen ProgressBar in Eclipse RCP has "dirty" corners

    Hi there, I am using the RCP Splash Screen along with the built-in ProgressBar (AbsolutePositionProgressMonitorPart). The splash image has a blue background color, but the background of the progressbar seems to be white, which leads to some white corners. There is no "setBackground" on BasicSplashHandler nor does getContent().setBackground(Color) has any noticeable effect. I don't want to be too picky, but since the splash is the first thing you see from the application, I think its very important to be tidy. So, do you have any idea how to get rid of these corners?

    Given the following information Public Enum Request As Byte None = 0 Identity = 1 License = 2 End Enum Protected mType As Communication.Request mType = Communication.Request.Identity Debug.Print (BitConverter.GetBytes(mType).Length.tostring) 2 Why does bitconverter report that mType is a length of 2. I would have thought that passing a Byte into BitConverter.GetBytes would just return the Byte. I mean it's no big deal because it's only sending a very small block of data across a TCP Socket, but I'm just intrigued why it thinks it's 2 bytes.

  • In ExtJS, how do I place two fieldsets side-by-side in a panel with a hbox layout?

    In ExtJS, I'm having a little trouble placing two fieldsets side-by-side in a panel with a hbox layout. The hbox layout seems to be unaware of the fieldset's height, and cuts it off, even if I explicitly set the panel's height to something large. Here's what it looks like: The blue border is the hbox panel, and there's 2 fieldsets inside, 'Client Info' and 'Owner Info'. The code is like so (simplified and runnable in Firebug): var clientInfo = { xtype: 'fieldset', defaultType: 'textfield', title: 'Client Info', items: [ { fieldLabel: 'First Name' }, { fieldLabel: 'Last Name' }, { fieldLabel: 'Cell Phone #' }, { fieldLabel: 'Work Phone #' } ] }; var ownerInfo = { xtype: 'fieldset', defaultType: 'textfield', title: 'Owner Info', items: [ { fieldLabel: 'First Name' }, { fieldLabel: 'Last Name' }, { fieldLabel: 'Cell Phone #' }, { fieldLabel: 'Work Phone #' } ] }; new Ext.Panel({ layout: 'hbox', frame: true, height: 400, width: 800, defaults: { flex: 1 }, items: [ clientInfo, ownerInfo ] }).render(document.body); P.S. If you remove defaults: { flex: 1 }, the fieldsets render correctly, but doesn't automatically resize to fit the container, which is something I need. I'm currently trying this as the value of the onmouseover attribute: this.className=#{(actions.currentlySelectedActionButton == 0)?'actionButton actionButtonChosen':'actionButton'}; whereas the CSS looks like this: (the relevant parts): .actionButton { width: 100%; height: 20px; border: thin solid #000; cursor:default; } .actionButtonChosen { background-color: blue; } It's not working.     I am writing some Selenium tests and I need to be able to find an ancestor of a WebElement that I have already found. This is what I'm trying but is returning no results // checkbox is also a WebElement WebElement container = checkbox.findElement(By.xpath( "current()/ancestor-or-self::div[contains(@class, 'x-grid-view')]") ); The image below shows the div that I have selected highlighted in dark blue and the one I want to find with an arrow pointing at it.     I need to select elements based on values stored in an element's .data() object. At a minimum, I'd like to select top-level data properties using selectors, perhaps like this: $('a').data("category","music"); $('a:data(category=music)'); Or perhaps the selector would be in regular attribute selector format: $('a[category=music]'); Or in attribute format, but with a specifier to indicate it is in .data(): $('a[:category=music]'); I've found James Padolsey's implementation to look simple, yet good. The selector formats above mirror methods shown on that page. There is also this Sizzle patch. For some reason, I recall reading a while back that jQuery 1.4 would include support for selectors on values in the jquery .data() object. However, now that I'm looking for it, I can't find it. Maybe it was just a feature request that I saw. Is there support for this and I'm just not seeing it? Ideally, I'd like to support sub-properties in data() using dot notation. Like this: $('a').data("user",{name: {first:"Tom",last:"Smith"},username: "tomsmith"}); $('a[:user.name.first=Tom]'); I also would like to support multiple data selectors, where only elements with ALL specified data selectors are found. The regular jquery multiple selector does an OR operation. For instance, $('a.big, a.small') selects a tags with either class big or small). I'm looking for an AND, perhaps like this: $('a').data("artist",{id: 3281, name: "Madonna"}); $('a').data("category","music"); $('a[:category=music && :artist.name=Madonna]'); Lastly, it would be great if comparison operators and regex features were available on data selectors. So $(a[:artist.id>5000]) would be possible. I realize I could probably do much of this using filter(), but it would be nice to have a simple selector format. What solutions are available to do this? Is Jame's Padolsey's the best solution at this time? My concern is primarily in regards to performance, but also in the extra features like sub-property dot-notation and multiple data selectors. Are there other implementations that support these things or are better in some way?
