  • Write contents of custom View to large Image file on SD card

    - by JFortney
    I have a class that extends View. I override the onDraw method and allow the user to draw on the screen. I am at the point where I want to save this view as an image. I Can use buildDrawingCache and getDrawingCache to create a bitmap that I can write to the SD card. However, the image is not good quality at a large size, it has jagged edges. Since I have a View and I use Paths I can transform all by drawing to a bigger size. I just don't know how to make the Canvas bigger so when I call getDrawingCache it doesn't crop all the paths I am just transformed. What is happening is I transform all my paths but when I write the Bitmap to file I am only getting the "viewport" of the actual screen size. I want something much bigger. Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. I have been reading the docs and books and am at a loss. Thanks Jon

  • Extracting Information from Images

    - by Khorkrak
    What are some fast and somewhat reliable ways to extract information about images? I've been tinkering with openCV and this seems so far to be the best route plus it has Python bindings. So to be more specific I'd like to determine what I can about what's in an image. So for example the haar face detection and full body detection classifiers are great - now I can tell that most likely there are faces and / or people in the image as well as about how many. okay - what else - how about whether there are any buildings and if so what do they seem to be - huts, office buildings etc? Is there sky visible, grass, trees and so forth. From what I've read about training classifiers to detect objects, it seems like a rather laborious process 10,000 or so wrong images and 5,000 or so correct samples to train a classifier. I'm hoping that there are some decent ones around already instead of having to do this all myself for a bunch of different objects - or is there some other way to go about this sort of thing?

  • Howto boot directly into a VirtualBox image?

    - by mawimawi
    I have a running setup as following: Native OS: Windows 7 64bit, 3 Partitions: c: (System) d: (FAT32, here is my vdi file) e: (unformatted) VirtualBox: Fedora 14 running off the vdi file on drive d. Usually this setup is great for me, but sometimes I'd like to run Linux natively, and not inside VirtualBox. Is there a way to boot directly into the vdi file without the Windows overhead? E.g. using a USB stick with some modified Linux Kernel / GRUB that can mount the vdi file directly as "/"? Or copy the contents of my vdi file to the empty partition and somehow use this from VirtualBox (when booting into Windows) AND directly booting into Linux? Hope to get some hints or even howtos. EDIT: yes, sorry. not programming related. I posted the question to serverfault.com (hopefully that's the better site for my question.)

  • I am trying to add a link on an Image

    Hi, I am trying to add a link to an image using ActionScript. I do not see the link no matter what. Below is my code, Can you please suggest what am I doing wrong. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <mx:Application creationComplete="application1_creationCompleteHandler(event)" xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" minWidth="955" minHeight="600"> <mx:Script> <![CDATA[ import mx.controls.Button; import mx.controls.Image; import mx.events.FlexEvent; protected function application1_creationCompleteHandler(event:FlexEvent):void { var but:Button = new Button(); but.label = "BUT"; uic.addChild(but); var dollLoader:Loader=new Loader(); dollLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, dollCompleteHandler); var dollRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest("http://www.google.com/intl/en_ALL/images/logo.gif"); dollLoader.load(dollRequest); uic.addChild(dollLoader); } private function dollCompleteHandler(event:Event):void { } ]]> </mx:Script> <mx:UIComponent id="uic" width="100%" height="100%"> </mx:UIComponent> </mx:Application>

  • Getting pixel averages of a vector sitting atop a bitmap...

    - by user346511
    I'm currently involved in a hardware project where I am mapping triangular shaped LED to traditional bitmap images. I'd like to overlay a triangle vector onto an image and get the average pixel data within the bounds of that vector. However, I'm unfamiliar with the math needed to calculate this. Does anyone have an algorithm or a link that could send me in the right direction? (I tagged this as Python, which is preferred, but I'd be happy with the general algorithm!) I've created a basic image of what I'm trying to capture here: http://imgur.com/Isjip.gif

  • In Corona SDK the background image always cover other images

    - by user1446126
    I'm currently making a tower defense game with Corona SDK. However, while I'm making the gaming scene, The background scene always cover the monster spawn, I've tried background:toBack() ,however it's doesn't work.Here is my code: module(..., package.seeall) function new() local localGroup = display.newGroup(); local level=require(data.levelSelected); local currentDes = 1; monsters_list = display.newGroup() --The background local bg = display.newImage ("image/levels/1/bg.png"); bg.x = _W/2;bg.y = _H/2; bg:toBack(); --generate the monsters function spawn_monster(kind) local monster=require("monsters."..kind); newMonster=monster.new() --read the spawn(starting point) in level, and spawn the monster there newMonster.x=level.route[1][1];newMonster.y=level.route[1][2]; monsters_list:insert(newMonster); localGroup:insert(monsters_list); return monsters_list; end function move(monster,x,y) -- Using pythagoras to calauate the moving distace, Hence calauate the time consumed according to speed transition.to(monster,{time=math.sqrt(math.abs(monster.x-x)^2+math.abs(monster.y-y)^2)/(monster.speed/30),x=x, y=y, onComplete=newDes}) end function newDes() currentDes=currentDes+1; end --moake monster move according to the route function move_monster() for i=1,monsters_list.numChildren do move(monsters_list[i],200,200); print (currentDes); end end function agent() spawn_monster("basic"); end --Excute function above. timer2 = timer.performWithDelay(1000,agent,10); timer.performWithDelay(100,move_monster,-1); timer.performWithDelay(10,update,-1); move_monster(); return localGroup; end and the monster just stuck at the spawn point and stay there. but, When i comment these 3 lines of code: --local bg = display.newImage ("image/levels/1/bg.png"); --bg.x = _W/2;bg.y = _H/2; --bg:toBack(); The problem disappear Any ideas??Thanks for helping

  • Change the source of an image by clicking a thumbnail (without jQuery preferably using UpdatePanel)

    - by Batu
    For example, i have this ImageViewer.ascx UserControl: <div class="ImageTumbnails"> <asp:ListView ID="ImageList" runat="server" ItemPlaceholderID="ItemContainer"> <LayoutTemplate> <asp:PlaceHolder ID="ItemContainer" runat="server" /> </LayoutTemplate> <ItemTemplate> <asp:HyperLink runat="server" NavigateUrl='<%# Link.ToProductImage(Eval("ImageFile").ToString())%>'> <asp:Image runat="server" ImageUrl='<%# Link.ToThumbnail(Eval("ImageFile").ToString()) %>' /> </asp:HyperLink> </ItemTemplate> </asp:ListView> </div> <div class="ImageBig"> <asp:Image ID="ProductImageBig" runat="server" ImageUrl="" /> </div> When the thumbnail is clicked it will change the source of ProductImageBig with its hyperlink target. How can i achieve this using UpdatePanel ? ( Or will i be able to )

  • "painting" one array onto another using python / numpy

    - by Nate
    I'm writing a library to process gaze tracking in Python, and I'm rather new to the whole numpy / scipy world. Essentially, I'm looking to take an array of (x,y) values in time and "paint" some shape onto a canvas at those coordinates. For example, the shape might be a blurred circle. The operation I have in mind is more or less identical to using the paintbrush tool in Photoshop. I've got an interative algorithm that trims my "paintbrush" to be within the bounds of my image and adds each point to an accumulator image, but it's slow(!), and it seems like there's probably a fundamentally easier way to do this. Any pointers as to where to start looking?

  • JQuery - Check when image is loaded?

    - by JasonS
    Hi, I am having a bit of trouble working out when an image has been loaded. I have been told that the following function will work but it isn't doing anything. $("#photos img:first").load(function (){ alert("Image loaded!"); }); There are no error's in my code. Everything else in my script works great. My HTML looks like this. <div id="photos"> <img src="../sample1.jpg" style="background-color:#000033" width="1" height="1" alt="Frog!"/> <img src="../sample2.jpg" style="background-color:#999999" width="1" height="1" alt="Zooey!"/> </div> Do I have the wrong JQuery function? It should also be noted that the visibility is set to hidden. However even when visible there is no alert. Any ideas?

  • Looking for a central image database and tagging system for a group of users

    - by jstarek
    I'm doing IT support for a small volunteer organisation who needs to centrally store and organize around 2500 photos. Can anyone here recommend a database or similar system which matches the following criteria: Intuitive to use for users with little computer experience Multi-user support, ideally with integration in our existing LDAP user directory Should have a web-interface Not a hosted solution like Picasa (because we have a rather slow internet connection with very slow upload) Should allow tagging of images, sorting by various criteria and storing copyright information If there are native GNOME and/or Windows clients for the tool, that would be a great benefit. Many thanks in advance!

  • Configure Git to use Beyond Compare for image diff

    - by Barney
    Because we work with a number of sprites, the kind of specialised diff views provided by Beyond Compare would be ideal to see which one of 2 versions I'm after when conflicts arise. I've already configured Git to use Beyond Compare as my primary diff and merge tool as described in their integration guide — it specifically goes into how to configure TortoiseSVN to use it for images, and I've found these articles talking about .gitattributes in general and how to script interactions from a *nix shell — but it's not obvious to me how I can use the advice provided by these guides to make a simple change that would say "use the default diff & merge bindings for files determined to be images, too". For the record, I'm doing all this on Windows :P

  • Is it possible to set ContentType for a WCF WebGet method?

    - by James Cadd
    I'm working with a WCF restful/http method that returns a stream of image data. I want to make sure that the content type is marked as "image/png". The method is defined as: [ServiceContract] [AspNetCompatibilityRequirements(RequirementsMode = AspNetCompatibilityRequirementsMode.Allowed)] [ServiceBehavior(InstanceContextMode = InstanceContextMode.PerCall)] public class TileImageService { [WebGet(UriTemplate = "{id}")] public Stream GetTileImage(string id) { Bitmap bmp = new Bitmap(173, 173); Graphics g = Graphics.FromImage(bmp); g.Clear(Color.Blue); g.DrawString(DateTime.Now.ToLongTimeString(), new Font("Chiller", 20), Brushes.White, new PointF(10, 10)); g.Flush(); MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream(); bmp.Save(ms, ImageFormat.Png); ms.Seek(0, SeekOrigin.Begin); return ms; } } In Firefox it looks like the content type is marked as application/octet stream. Is there a way to change the content type?

  • Jquery cycle plugin and image tag from code behind

    - by Geetha
    Hi All, I am using cycle plugin to show images. I am binding the html code for image from code behind. Problem: Images are not getting displayed. If i hard coded the image tag it is working. Code: $(window).load(function() { $.ajax({ type: "POST", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", data: "{}", url: "Default.aspx/GetImage", dataType: "json", success: function(data) { alert(data.d); $("#sample").html(data.d); $('#sample').cycle({ fx: 'fade', continuous: true, speed: 7500, timeout: 55000, pause: 1, sync: 1 }); } }); }); Data.d will give: <img src="Images/Frontbanner/s0.jpg" width="664" height="428" border="0" /> <img src="Images/Frontbanner/s111.jpg" width="664" height="428" border="0" /> <img src="Images/Frontbanner/s112.jpg" width="664" height="428" border="0" /> <img src="Images/Frontbanner/s113.jpg" width="664" height="428" border="0" /> <img src="Images/Frontbanner/s114.jpg" width="664" height="428" border="0" /> <img src="Images/Frontbanner/s115.jpg" width="664" height="428" border="0" /> <img src="Images/Frontbanner/s116.jpg" width="664" height="428" border="0" />

  • paintComponent on JPanel, image flashes and then disappears

    - by mark
    I have a JApplet (MainClass extends JApplet), a JPanel (ChartWindow extends JPanel) and a Grafico class. The problem is that the Grafico class instance has 2 JPanel that should show 2 images (1 for each panel) but the images are shown and after a little while they disappears: instead of them i get a gray background (like an empty JPanel). This happens for every repaint() call (that are made in the ChartWindow class) the MainClass init() contains chartwindow=new ChartWindow(); add(chartwindow) chartwindow has a Grafico instance. it's the ChartWindow's paintComponent (override) paintComponent(Graphics g) { super.paintComponent(g); Image immagineGrafico=createImage(grafico.pannelloGrafico.getWidth() ,grafico.pannelloGrafico.getHeight()); Image immagineVolumi=createImage(grafico.pannelloVolumi.getWidth() ,grafico.pannelloVolumi.getHeight()); Graphics2D imgGrafico=(Graphics2D)immagineGrafico.getGraphics(); Graphics2D imgVolumi=(Graphics2D)immagineVolumi.getGraphics(); grafico.draw(imgGrafico,imgVolumi,mouseX,mouseY); ((Graphics2D)grafico.pannelloGrafico.getGraphics()).drawImage(immagineGrafico,0,0,this); ((Graphics2D)grafico.pannelloVolumi.getGraphics()).drawImage(immagineVolumi,0,0,this); } grafico's JPanels are added this way in the ChartWindow's constructor grafico=new Grafico() ................ add(grafico.pannelloGrafico); add(grafico.pannelloVolumi); Tell me if you need more information, thank you very much :-)

  • Server Push CGI Perl Problem writing the JPEG image

    I am a beginner in Perl CGI etc. I was experimenting with server-push concept with a piece of perl code. It is supposed to send a jpeg image to the client every 3 seconds. Unfortunately nothing seems to work. Can somebody help identify the problem? Here is the code.... use strict; # turn off io buffering $|=1; print "Content-type: multipart/x-mixed-replace;"; print "boundary=magicalboundarystring\n\n"; print "--magicalboundarystring\n"; #list the jpg images my(@file_list) = glob "*.jpg"; my($file) = ""; foreach $file(@file_list ) { open FILE,">", $file or die "Cannot open file $file: $!"; print "Content-type: image/jpeg\n\n"; while ( <FILE> ) { print "$_"; } close FILE; print "\n--magicalboundarystring\n"; sleep 3; next; } EDIT: added turn off i/o buffering, added "use strict" and "@file_list", "$file" are made local

  • Explorer image thumbnails are grey/incomplete/partial

    - by Craig620
    I have recently noticed a problem on my Win7 x64 Home machine. When navigating the pictures library, I run across a fair amount of thumbnails that are grey and only partially rendered. This is not not the absence of thumbnails caused by "always show icons, never thumbnails" checkbox, and is a local drive, have seen many other posts for those issues... I've run cleanmgr for thumbnails, and also manually deleted the .db files from %LOCALAPPADAT%\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer. That did actually fix one thumbnail once (while preparing this post) but in general it doesn't work. Why do specialized imaging programs not have this problem, but Explorer does? How do you fix Explorer? It's very annoying!

  • CSS3 image rotation and reposition to fit in div

    - by blid
    I'll start with JS Fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/zy2xy/4/ <div id="page" style="position: relative; background: #ccc; width: 500px; height: 600px;"> <div id="container" style="top: 50px; left: 100px; width: 200px; height: 200px; position: absolute; background: #fff;"> <img src="http://lorempixel.com/200/100/"> </div> </div>????????? I've got a whole page div #page, and inside that another div #container positioned absolute against #page. What I want to achieve, is to rotate image inside it 90deg, 180deg or 270deg but always move that image to top left corner of #container. I tried a little bit with transform-origin but I couldn't find any solution.

  • Drupal: Programmatically saving imagefield images

    - by Ace
    Hey there! I'm trying to write a sync function that saves some data to nodes, which works fine, until I try to save the thumbnail image associated with the node. I've managed to download the file and put it in my sites/default/files folder, but what's the best way to tell Drupal, "put this file in that CCK imagefield"? EDIT To clarify a bit.. I sync the thumbnails separately (since one image can be used by several nodes)... I would like the initial thumbnail sync to save the files in the correct folder (not a temp one) and just point the imagefield to this file... That's what annoys me with field_file_save_file(), it saves a new file instead of just making a pointer.. Any advice?

  • JasperReports reports access image via authenticated URL

    - by user363115
    Hi all, I am hoping that this is a simple issue with a simple solution and that I have missed something obvious. Let me explain the problem; We have an application that generates PDF reports (using Jasper). These reports contain data from our database, as well as imagery (photographs). These photographs are stored in S3. We use signed URLs to access these photographs. We link these photographs into our Jasper reports using these S3 URLs. Because the S3 URLs are signed and time-limited (by design), the process is as follows; User requests a report to be generated, Report is filled, and goes to our database (at which time UUIDs to any required images are retrieved), For each UUID an S3 signed URL must be generated, To do this the URL behind each report image is a call to an authenticated URL in our app (/get_img?uuid=foo), The controller behind this URL generates a signed S3 URL and returns it, Reports loads the image. The problem is with step (4) - the call to the authenticated URL fails because Jasper does not pass any authentication information with the request. Is there a solution here? Thanks all for your time. Ben

  • How can I determine img width/height of dynamically loaded images in IE?

    - by Jens
    My markup is a simple div element with id 'load'. Using jQuery I then load a list of image elements into this div: $('#load').load('images.html', { }, function() { $(this).onImagesLoad({ selectorCallback: function() { ....do something.... } }); }); where images.html is a list like this: <img src='1.jpg' caption='img 1'> <img src='2.jpg' caption='img 2'> ... To ensure that all images are loaded completely, I use the onImagesLoad plugin. This, so far, works just fine on all browsers. However, on IE8 (and I assume other versions of IE also) when I then iterate over the img elements, I am unable to determine the width/height of the images loaded. The image.context.naturalWidth and naturalHeight attributes don't seem to work. How do I get a hold of the images' dimension? Thanks heaps :)

  • Scratch the screen to display an image in android

    - by user1008497
    i am working on a android project for my assignment. i am trying to make a scratch image application, you know it's like we scratch the screen to get rid the blocking layer to display the image. but the problem is i don't know where to start. i have searching in stackoverflow's questions that related to this but that's not help. from my search there, i found a clue for this project is using Bitmap.getPixel(int x, int y). so, in my thought i have to get pixel from bitmap and paint it to canvas. but i don't know how to implement it? or anyone has a better method for this? Could anyone please help me? Any tutorials on this kind of thing or related topics? Thanks in advance! here's my sample code: @Override protected void onSizeChanged(int w, int h, int oldw, int oldh) { super.onSizeChanged(w, h, oldw, oldh); tw = w; th = h; eraseableBitmap = Bitmap.createBitmap(w, h, Bitmap.Config.ARGB_8888); mCanvas = new Canvas(eraseableBitmap); Bitmap muteableBitmap = Bitmap.createBitmap(eraseableBitmap.getWidth(), eraseableBitmap.getHeight(), Bitmap.Config.ARGB_8888); } @Override public boolean onTouchEvent(MotionEvent event) { static_x = event.getX(); static_y = event.getY(); if (event.getAction() == MotionEvent.ACTION_DOWN) { touch_start(static_x, static_y); } if (event.getAction() == MotionEvent.ACTION_MOVE) { touch_move(static_x, static_y); } if (event.getAction() == MotionEvent.ACTION_UP) { touch_up(); } return true; }
