    Hi, I am required to install two security certifcates on user's PC's to allow them to connect to a certain Australian Government website to perform searchs. I can perform this manually (via Certifcate Import Wizard) when the user has logged into the machine, however when a different user logs in, the certifcates need to be re-installed for that user as well. Q1. Can certifcates ( the file extension is .p12) be installed in such a way that any user using the PC can use the certifcates? Q2. Can the installation of the certifcates be automated ( via SMS? ) to install both certifcates and enter the requried password? Thanks,

    I'm looking for an app that my development team that is essentially an IM app, but multiple people can be in one "room." Similar to IRC. Additional requirements (that preclude hosting an IRC server myself): IM style appliction -- Download and install one app on each PC. The app lives in the tray. New messages appear in a notification window on everybody's pc. Secure -- No Ventrillo Harassment nonsense. Only those with access can see and read what's going on. Not My Job -- Doesn't require us to host a server, set up a server, etc. I just want to log on and go. No friggen smileys -- If the client app has smilies I will have to kill someone.

    Hi Let's say that I have a desktop pc and a laptop, and sometimes I work on the desktop and sometimes I work on the laptop. What is the easiest way to move a git repository back and forth? I want the git repositories to be identical, so that I can continue where I left of at the other computer. I would like to make sure that I have the same branches and tags on both of the computers. If it is easier, I can use a third pc as classical server that the two pc:s can sync against. Note: Both computers are running Linux. Update: So let's try XANI:s idea with a bare git repo on a server, and the push command syntax from KingCrunch. In this example there is two clients and one server.   • Drupal Error After Logging In

    Hello everyone. I'm kinda new to using drupal and i'm just wondering why I kind of get this error on my new site. See i have this website under WampServer running drupal6-16. Everytime I log in with my pre-created admin account 'admin01' pass: 'admin01' i get redirected to the WampServer localhost which appears to be unusual since the header does not have the WampServer logo. I already tried creating a new drupal website with the same database and the same thing happens. Also, I tried creating another website with a new database but I copied the other website's theme and other contents and the same thing happens. Help me please. I am losing my grip on this. :( Note: I have the same website running on one PC and i am just trying to run it on another PC by copying all its contents. The original copy is working perfectly but I can't seem to get the hook on my new copies to work on other PCs.

  • Log On As A Service Permission getting removed

    We have PC's that are in a domain that run a windows service on startup. They continually are having the Log On As A Service permission removed for the domain account that is running the service. So when the PC restarts the service won't run. We can re-add the permission by hand to the Group Policy on the machine or retype the password on the service (which grants the permission) and it runs fine for a day or so. What could be removing it? Could it be a Default Policy that does not have this domain account being applied to the PCs thus removing the Log On As A Service permission?

    I have a web app that is supposed to be run on a single local machine (kiosk display), but I want the option to let a user make changes on the web (from any PC) and update the instance on their local PC (kiosk display). From what i imagine, the MySQL instance on the web will just be replace the MySQL instance on the local (kiosk display) machine. Does anyone know of a way to do this?     This is in regards to applications that run in the taskbar but should be applicable to standard apps, Winforms, WPF, etc. Question: I am after some method (preferably via managed code) to be notified when a user either has their screen "locked" while my app is running and/or know when they log back in. GMail Notifier does this sort of thing for example, if my PC is locked for a while when I log in again it shows a list of emails that arrived since locking the PC. I'm looking to replicate that kind of functionality. Does anyone have any ideas on how to accomplish this?

  • Client-server application between two computers in the same network (using boost::asio)

    I'm trying to set up a basic communication between my desktop PC and my laptop (latter one using wireless connection) both being in the same network, using the boost::asio tutorials: synchronous client and synchronous server (in c++). When I run both the server and client on the same machine (using the localhost and the datetime port as parameters), it works splendidly. But if I try to set up the laptop as server (tested it with netstat -anb from the command prompt, it is indeed running and listening to port 13 as it's supposed to, and I even deactivated the firewall to make sure it doesn't cause any problems), I cannot connect to it with the client (set up on the PC), no matter what IP I tried (localhost, and basically any IPs that ipconfig -all gave me). So no matter what I tried, I cannot find the correct address that which the client can use to connect to the server. Could anyone help me please?

    I'm attempting to create a small utility to watch for the creation (or modification) of a specific registry key, and to kill the process responsible for causing that registry modification. I have had success in watching the changes to the registry via a class called 'RegistryMonitor', however it does not give you any information on what process initiated the registry call, through some googling I found that a library called 'EasyHook' should be able to do what I want, but all the documentation states that its designed for a per-application hook. The program itself is a temporary security patch, until our vendors come out with an official security update. As best I can tell there isn't a way to do exactly what I want to accomplish from C#, which is the only language I can comfortable write, test and execute software in. Any help on this would be appreciated I'm considering watching the registry changes via the program I already have, then if the change is discovered (the pc is already infected) running RKill and locking down the PC to prevent the issue from getting any worse

  • Error installing pkgconfig via macports

    I installed Macports 1.8.2 from a DMG. That seemed to install fine. I ran sudo port selfupdate to make sure my ports tree was current. I then tried to install bindfs as I want to mount some directories in my OS X file system (like you can do with mount --bind in linux). pkgconfig and macfuse are two dependencies of bindfs. Is there a way I can confirm that the 200 was real and not spoofed? Where is the long info on the client coming from?
