• how do I match movement of an object from 2d video into a 3d package ?

  I'm trying to add objects in a 3d package(Blender) using recorded footage. I've played with Icarus and it's great to capture the camera movement. Also the Blender 2.41 importer script works in Blender 2.49 as well. The problem is I can't seem to get 3d coordinates for objects. I have tried Autodesk(RealVIZ) MatchMover 2011 and gone through the tutorials. Tutorial 3 shows how to link a vertex from a 3d mesh to a 2d trackpoint, but the setup is for camera movement. Tutorial 4 goes into Motion capture, but it uses 2 videos of the same motion taken with 2 cameras from different viewpoints. I've tried to bypass that using the same footage twice, but that failed, as the 3d coordinate system ends up messed up. What software do you recommend for this (mapping 3d coordinates to 2d tracked points and importing them into a 3d package) ? What is the recommended technique ? Any good examples out there ? I tested that on the server and it works fine. The problem is, I could not get remote SFTP access to the server to work right. The example above is what I keep on running into. I have been trying to figure out how to solve this problem for 2 days now. I am not sure if it have to do with /etc/ssh/sshd_config. Is it something that I am not aware of? I am hoping that you could help point me to the right place for this issue.

• OS X Headphone jack issue [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: Optical Audio out stuck on on a MacBook When I plug my headphones into my iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011; OSX 10.8.1) and try to adjust the volume, the volume popup shows a greyed out speaker and there's a circle with a line through it signalling that it isn't working. I've tried the headphones with my iPhone, other iMacs etc and they're fine. This is incredibly frustrating. Other headphones don't generally work either. In Sound preferences the headphones are being listed as "Optical digital-out port" which is incorrect and would explain the problem, but doesn't help me fix it. Any ideas?

  Hello, I migrated my application to a new server (from a VPS to a dedicated) yesterday and the password protection which was working correctly on the previous server (using .htaccess file - asking username/pass) doesn't work anymore : anyone can access the website without being asked to enter a username pass. I don't really have a clue why it's not working anymore as I kept everything the same.

  We have a LAN where workstations are randomly losing network connectivity for brief moments of time. The workstations can also take a long time to login to the domain. During our troubleshooting we have found an error log on a few Windows 7 workstations: Warning BROWSER 8021 The browser was unable to retrieve a list of servers from the browser master \\random-pc on the network \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{BBABCDE9-D8A0-4399-93F2-492FE0848B12}. The data is the error code. What do these errors mean? What computers should have the Computer Browser service enabled, workstations and/or servers? The environment is a mix of Windows 7 & Windows XP workstations on a Windows Server SBS 2011 SP1 domain.

• Where does Picasa store albums?

  For people searching, the question might also be phrased: How do I restore Picasa albums from backup? When I reinstalled my computer and restored my photos from backup, some of my albums showed up, but many didn't. I've found the following info: Picasa on Windows stores (stored?) album info in these places: Vista: C:\Users\<myaccount>\AppData\Local\Google\Picasa2Albums\ XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<myaccount>\Local Settings\Application Data\google\Picasa2Albums\ I restored that folder and was still missing many of my albums. That folder also contained a folder of backups, but the most recent one was from a long time ago and I've created albums since then. According to https://support.google.com/picasa/bin/picasa.google.com/support/bin/static.py?hl=en&page=release_notes.cs, since the Dec 8, 2011 build, Picasa saves album info in .ini file(s). This probably explains the albums that I do see. http://katelharrison.blogspot.com/2012/01/how-to-restore-picasa-albums-mac.html has some great info on restoring albums on Macs, but the folder structure seems to be different there than on Windows.

  My web app runs on windows 2003 .Net 3.5 I have users from Israel (GMT +2), and Israel switched to Daylight saving time on 26/3/10 so now it's (GMT +3). I use TimeZoneInfo.ConvertTime that doesn’t know the Daylight saving time switch is on 26/3/10 so it still converts to GMT +2. I asked on StackOverflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2530834/problem-with-timezoneinfo-converttime-missed-the-daylight-saving-switch/2532104#2532104 And I was told that I need to update: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Time Zones\Israel Standard Time\Dynamic DST I found this update: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976098 That supposes to fix the Dynamic DST for 2010, Is this the update I need? Where can I find an update that handles 2011 2012… ? Will I need to update my windows every year to get the DST right? Thanks.

  I am trying to connect my mac terminal shell to a VirtualBox running the Musicbrainz server. I have configured the network through a BridgeAdapter and running ifconfig on both the host and the guest show corresponding IP addresses. I can now ping the guest, but I cannot connect through SSH. • Apache, Django with mod_wsgi, and large request buffering

  In my setup of Apache 2.2 MPM worker and Django 1.3 with mod_wsgi 2.8, I need to support large POST request payloads. The problem is that when there are many such simultaneous requests, Apache uses up all the memory in the system and then crashes. It seems that Apache is buffering the requests completely in memory before executing the WSGI handler and passing it the request. Is there any way to control request buffering in Apache? • How are interrupts handled by dual processor machines?

  I have an idea of how interrupts are handled by a dual core CPU. I was wondering about how interrupt handling is implemented on a board with more than one physical processor. Is any of the interrupt responsibility determined by the physical board's configuration? Each processor must be able to handle some types of interrupts, like disk I/O. Unless there is some circuitry to manage and dispatch interrupts to the appropriate processor? My guess is that the scheme must be processor neutral, so that any processor and core can run the interrupt handler. If a core is waiting on a disk read, will that core be the one to run the interrupt handler when the disk is ready?

• On Windows 7, the last access date is not changed even after reading the file?

  I have some files on Windows 7, and want to see what time it was that I read it this morning (February 27 morning), but when I right click on the file and choose Properties, I see Accessed: Yesterday, Feb 26, 2011, 2:12:37PM so I open the file to read the content again, and then open up the Properties again, and still the Accessed (date) is the same (Feb 26). Even if I add a column to the folder for "Date Accessed", it still shows Feb 26. But today is Feb 27 and clearly I have "accessed" it... so how can I see the true last accessed date?

  I'm looking into using group policy to deploy a couple of applications. I want to have the log of each installation written to a shared folder on a file server for tracking purposes. I can create the log if I pass the appropriate parameters. For example: msiexec /i Package.msi /l*vx c:\Package.log However using group policy for the deployment, you can't pass any parameters to the installation file. Is there anyway to specify the log file location in the process of creating the msi package?

  So I got this brand new monitor today an noticed the following problem: This happens while I'm moving my browser window for example. It's not font related, it also happens with icons as you can see on the picture. It's only persistend while I'm moving something, the faster I move it, the farther away is the shadow from the origin. • Broadcom BCM5716 Hangs on CentOS 6 Boot

  I have a fresh CentOS 6 installation on a Dell R310 server with a Broadcom BCM5716. The onboard NIC is causing the boot to hang for some reason.   I am trying to ssh with X11 forwarding into a host where I don't have a home directory. Because of that, xauth fails and X11 doesn't seem to work.   I am using ipsec-tools/racoon to create my VPN. I am using racoon-tool to configure racoon.conf but when I run racoon-tool reload it only generates the first section - Global items. • Dots and spaces in variable names from external sources are converted to underscores

  Trying a bit of AJAX, and I find that much of my data is littered with underscores! Documentation confirms that this is working as intended. Any way to pass my form information to PHP intact? I'm using CodeIgniter, so my pass looks like /controller/function/variable, receiving controller: controller{ function($v=0){#what once was hello world is now hello_world...} } I can't very well do an undo, data might contain an underscore. • Java Inter Application Form Communication Observer Pattern

  Observer pattern? Where do i get examples of this in Java (i know google but was hoping for some personal insight also.) On to a proper explanation of my issue: i have 3 forms/windows. "board" is the main form that loads as the application. "chat" is where the text chat takes place. "network" is where network connection is established. i have the game (connect4) working locally and i would like to implement a networked version of it also. my idea is maybe it is related to Observer pattern to have a thread (or something) monitoring network state during runtime and update the chat and board forms of the current network status as well as delivering received data from the network. are my ideas valid? or how should i go about establishing network and network status updates throughout the application? thank you for your input.
