• Using fink to install PyODE

  I installed fink and ran this command from terminal: sudo apt-get install python-pyode. I found this command on the internet and expected it to work, as I just installed fink. Am I using the wrong name? Is there a different command to use for Mac OS X (10.5)?

• PDF thumbnails in TeXShop (LaTeX)

  How can i create PDF thumbnails in TeXShop using LaTeX and thumbpdf? I have \usepackage{thumbpdf} in my preamble, ran LaTeX twice, ran $ thumbpdf report.pdf from a Terminal (I'm on a Mac), then ran LaTeX again, but the PDF has no thumbnails? Am I missing a step? The thumbpdf command created png files but then deleted them again, and wrote a file called report.tpt. Thanks.

If this exists, let call it rate-limit, I want to be able to type in a terminal something like cat /dev/urandom | rate-limit 3 -k | foo in order to send a a stream of random bytes to foo's standard input at a rate (lower than) 3 kbytes/s.

  Hello everyone I'm trying to use APIKit to scan my codes to detect if there is private API. apiscanner should run as ./apiscanner ~/Desktop/MyPath/myapp.app I used command 'cd' go to the directory where apiscanner is. But if I call ./apiscanner ~/Desktop/MyPath/MyApp.app on terminal it reports Last login: Sun Jun 13 07:22:07 on ttys002 unknown required load command 0x80000022 Trace/BPT trap logout Even if I copy the files apiscanner and doit to MyPath, then execute, I get the same problem. I think there is something wrong when I run apiscanner under Mac OS X. Welcome any comment Thanks

  Can someone please help as i've spent all day trying to fix this. I installed the latest XAMPP and now i can't connect to mysql from terminal.I checked my .profile file and the PATH seems ok. How can i trick the console in opening the w3m browser in a separate process so it can continue to launch the server?   I've got 256 colors working great in my terminal (test scripts here), but it stops working when I use ncurses (via Ruby-ncurses). Printing the escape sequences given on that page works fine, but when I initialize ncurses 'puts' stops working and I can't output the colors with any of the various ncurses color changing/string output functions I've found. What gives?

  Hi I got some binary files containing integers. Is there some nice unix command, that will allow me to dump it to a terminal without offset info etc? something like double int[4]; while(fread(tmp,sizeof(int),4,stdin)) for(int i=0;i<4;i++) printf("%d\t",tmp[i]); It seems that hexdump and od gives me the information I want, but the output is to verbose. I just want the contents.

  I am writing a web application using ring and clojure. I am using the jetty adapter for the development server and emacs/SLIME for IDE. While wrap-reload does help, run-jetty blocks my slime session and I would like to be able to start/stop it at will without having to run it in a separate terminal session. Ideally, I would like to define a server agent and functions start-server and stop-server that would start/stop the server inside the agent. Is this possible?

  Hi all, I want to create a global MemoryMappedFile in C# 4.0 using following call: string MemoryMappedFileName = "Global\\20E9C857-C944-4C35-B937-A5941034D073"; ioBuffer = MemoryMappedFile.CreateNew(MemoryMappedFileName, totalIoBufferSize); This always throws following exception "System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path is denied."
