    Is the SAP RFC SDK (wdtfuncs.ocx, wdtlog.ocx respectively Interop.SAPFunctionsOCX.dll, Interop.SAPLogonCtrl.dll) an acceptable / recommended way to connect (Microsoft) applications via RFCs with SAP ? Will there be a support and maintenance of the SDK in the future (especially in ECC 6.0) ? Are there people who use these controls in .NET applications ?

  • BlackBerry JDE supported devices?

    I'm developing BlackBerry applications with the JDE plugin for Eclipse (version 1.0.0.67), and I was wondering if there's a list somewhere of devices that these applications will run on. It's for commercial purposes, and we need to be able to tell our clients what the supported devices are. Perhaps I'm asking a stupid question, but I need to be sure.   • How to paste text from one app to another using Cocoa?

    I have read about NSPasteBoard in the Apple documentation, and how it allows for applications to write into the PasteBoard and allow other applications to read that text and use it. Could someone tell me how to paste text from am application (that sits in the status bar) into a NSTextField that is inside a different application. What I am trying to do is something similar what Snippet and SnippetsApp do. If I am completely stupid and missed the obvious in Apple Docs, could you please point me to the right path :) Thanks!

  • Could MacRuby / HotCocoa supplant the need to know Objective-C?

    I just discovered MacRuby / HotCocoa and really like the sound of what they're doing. I had essentially discounted the prospect of making Cocoa GUI applications myself because I have an aversion to spending time & effort learning yet another C-based language, Objective-C. I'm not saying it's bad, just not for me. Is it the case now, or in the probable future, that one will be able to make Cocoa GUI applications of substantial and first-class nature with MacRuby / HotCocoa alone while ignoring Objective-C completely?

I've read and re-read the actual documentation at http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_42_0/libs/spirit/doc/html/index.html and the examples therein. I know Joel is starting a compiler series on the blog http://boost-spirit.com/home/ but that hasn't gotten in full swing yet. Any other resources to see worked examples using some more sophisticated/involved aspects in the context of fully working applications?

    But it clearly does not fail on my system. The Verification test in XCode during the submission should (I assume) test this. For example, if your application needs to display a scrolling list of images and another application has developed a suitable scroller and made it available to others, you can call upon that scroller to do the work, rather than develop your own. Isn't it a bad practice to make an app dependent on other apps?

    Hi everyone, I've been launching Xcode from Quicksilver quite happily for weeks. Suddenly late yesterday, without changing either Xcode or Quicksilver, it started appearing like this: Screenshot There's no "open" option in the action list anymore. I rebooted with no joy. All my other applications launch. Xcode still launches from Spotlight. It just seems to be any app under /Developer/Applications. Any suggestions? cheers,Step

    Recently, I found an interesting Wiki/CMS/Database hybrid called Wagn, where the most important unit of information is the 'Card'. That terminology immediately made me think of Hypercard. As expected, there is some "Hypercard-ness" in that application. Do you know of other web applications/frameworks with that "Hypercard-ness" thing, or if its successor still must be invented?
