This being the case I therefore need to download a copy of SQL Express 2005 or something to develop against on my windows XP home PC? Is this correct?     My thickbox renders correctly in my dev environment, but in prod, the default height kicks in even though I'm supplying width and height params. TB_WIDTH = (params['width']*1) + 30 || 630; //defaults to 630 if no paramaters were added to URL TB_HEIGHT = (params['height']*1) + 40 || 440; //defaults to 440 if no paramaters were added to URL ajaxContentW = TB_WIDTH - 30; ajaxContentH = TB_HEIGHT - 45; Any thoughts on why this might be happening?

    There is apparently a bug introduced in the latest Java update for Mac OS X, which causes deletes in JFormattedTextFields to be performed twice. See http://lists.apple.com/archives/java-dev/2010/May/msg00092.html The DefaultEditorKit.deletePrevCharAction is invoked twice when the delete key is pressed. Are there any suggestions for a workaround? I'm thinking of replacing the delete action for my text fields with a patched version that somehow filters out these duplicate invocations.

    I've been (unsuccessfully) trying to install the "pg" gem on my ruby 1.9.3-p286 but nothing seems to work. I've already installed postgresql (9.1), libpq-dev and a few others like postgresql-server-dev-9.1. I've tried to pass the "with-pg-config" flag to the gem install but simply nothing seems to work. Every time I try to install the gem it outputs something like this: Building native extensions. This could take a while... I found it didn't quite do what I needed, but that's another topic, and I'm moving to South. Can I just delete the evolution tables in my django db, and remove it from the app settings? Or is there more to it?

    Hello, I am just studying the code of Sacha Barbers MVVM framework Chinch and I saw this in the xxxViewModel.cs file: DataService.FetchAllOrders(CurrentCustomer.CustomerId.DataValue); DataService is a Static class. Being a junior dev I am only used to Interfaces with Data services. Why is that class static? Or do you think he made it just for the example? So is that a good approach?

  • Is there a workaround for the broken closeOnEscape in jQuery UI Dialog

    It looks like there is a bug in jQuery UI Dialog where there closeOnEscape doesn't work properly, such that escape will still close the dialog. One possible solution is to unbind the keydown on the overlay, but this doesn't seem to work. Is there another solution that works?     Hi. i'm running the following: png(filename="figure.png", width=900, bg="white") barplot(c(1.1, 0.8, 0.7), horiz=TRUE, border="blue", axes=FALSE, col="darkblue") axis(2, at=1:3, lab=c("elephant", "hippo", "snorkel"), las=1, cex.axis=1.3) dev.off() and the labels on the left are appearing off the page.
