  • How to check the status (True/False) in a grid view on rowdatabound event?

    Hi all, I have a table with three columns (ProdID,ProdName,Status). I m fetching that into a dataSet and binding that to my gridview. I have a very basic and simple rowdatabound event like this : protected void gvProducts_RowDataBound(object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e) { if (e.Row.RowType == DataControlRowType.DataRow) { if (e.Row.Cells[2].Text == "False") { e.Row.BackColor = System.Drawing.Color.PaleVioletRed; } } } But when i see my 3rd column (Status), it is converted to a checkbox, may be becz its containing only 'True' or 'False'. Also in my if condition : if (e.Row.Cells[3].Text == "False") the text value is showing this : "" Can anybody suggest me, how can i compare my status against True or False in my if condition.

  • Java: immutability, overuse of stack -- better data structure?

    I overused hashSets but it was slow, then changed to Stacks, speed boost-up. Poly's reply uses Collections.emptyList() as immutable list, cutting out excess null-checkers. No Collections.emptyStack(). Combining the words stack and immutability, from the last experiences, gets "immutable stack" (probably not related to functional prog). Java Api 5 for list interface shows that Stack is an implementing class for list and arraylist, here. The java.coccurrent pkg does not have any immutable Stack data structure. The first hinted of misusing stack. The lack of immutabily in the last and poly's book recommendation leads way to list. Something very primitive, fast, no extra layers, with methods like emptyThing().     I'm working on a DNN module that creates DNN pages (tabs) and places DNN modules on them through code. So, far that's working very well. However, I'd like it to also be able to programmatically set the page's skin and place the modules in the appropriate pane. Does anyone know how to do this using code?   • Android Out of memory regarding png image

    I have a jpg image in my app that shows correctly. In my listview i'd like to make the image more transparent so it is easier to see the text. I changed the image to a png format and altered it's opacity in GIMP. Now that the new image is in the app drawable folder.     Hi, We installed a clustered SQL 2005 installation on windows 2008 and reattached our san drives from another machine and restored to do a migration to new hardware. There have been a few minor issues, but this one has me stuck. Trying to populate Full-Text indexes is not working.     I pass a ViewModel (which contains a "Person" object) from the "EditPerson" controller action into the view. When posted back from the view, the ActionResult receives all of the Person properties except the ID (which it says is zero instead of say its real integer) Can anyone tell me why?   • Creating a common selector class with UITableView or UIPicker

    I have several places in my app where I need to select a Foo for further processing from a list of Foo objects. I'd like to do this as a modal view, but neither UIPicker nor UITableView seems to lend itself to the standard approach, since the usual way to do a modal view controller involves setting the parent view controller up as the delegate, and both of those classes need to implement data source protocols, etc. Implementing the data source and selection protocol methods in my parent view controller defeats the purpose of trying to use one common class for implementing this modal selector screen all over my app. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem or am I effectively stuck implementing this selector class over and over again?

Could someone please give me a hint as to what I'm doing wrong, & how I should be testing this?

  • iPhone modalView unwanted offset

    Hey, I have a UITabBarController with three view controllers (from three different types). On one of the view controllers, I want to display a modalViewController. Once a UIButton on the screen is pressed, I perform this action: AboutViewController *modalViewController = [[AboutViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"AboutScreen" bundle:nil]; [self presentModalViewController:modalViewController animated:YES]; like I always do in order to display a modal view... The problem is, that while the modal view is being displayed (while it is moving from the bottom of the screen), a 20 pixels grey strip is showing on the bottom of the screen (the same size as the status bar on the top). Once the modal view reaches its final location, the strip disappears. Needless to say this doesn't look good (to say the least). Does anybody know why this may happen? Thanks,

  • How do I pass a reference type to Control.Invoke / display a form centered on the main form

    I'm on a thread other than the UI thread and need to display a modal form that's centered on the application's main form. What I usually do is use the width and height of the main form and the modal form to calculate the location, then use the PointToScreen method of the main form to get the location of the modal form. Since I'm on another thread I need to use Control.Invoke to call this method. I just can't figure out how to pass a parameter of type Point to Control.Invoke (params object[]). Value types and String works fine. Or, if someone can find a better way to display a form centered on the main form regardless of thread, that would be great. MessageBox seems to be able to do this (although not modally).

If there is a YouTube video the dialog box is displayed beneath the video. I tried changing the z-index of dialog to 3999, but no use.     So, I set the closing function for simple modal as follows: $.modal.defaults.onClose = function (dialog) { $.validationEngine.closePrompt(".formError",true); dialog.data.fadeOut('slow', function () {}); dialog.container.fadeOut('slow', function () {}); dialog.overlay.fadeOut('slow', function () { $.modal.close(); }); } The line where the validationengine closes prompts basically just makes some divs disappear. The problem is that I don't want things to start fading out until closePrompt() is complete. Is there a way to do that? Is the only way with a "callback"? I don't think it has that built in to the function. Any other way to do it?

Though the query string ? - what happens if the no:of items selected is large, will the url support that much characters Keep the list in the parent page in a javascript variable and return the selected group from the modal pop-up? But in CHROME (4.0.249.43) I get a dark black overlay with 100% opacity. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

    I use the info button to display a settings page. This page is a modal. I need another button from here to display "About" info, since I've already used "info" for something. I have a search form that is accessed only from the modal. On the search form, I need a help icon. I can use the info button but that seems confusing, since I already use the info button from the main view to access the modal. What else can I do for help and about icons/buttons?
