  • .htaccess causes links on page to try an open a BIN file?

    My friend's site which I agree to tech-advise, is psychtalkonline.com. You can go check it out, it's an anonymous forum (miniBBS) running Apache on Unix. I at first had a problem with mod_rewrite but then I uploaded the .htaccess file. However, that seemed to cause problems. If you click on any link, you will get a pop-up saying "You have chosen to open which is a BIN file". If you click the source code, and click on the links in the source code, you will see that it goes to the BIN file. I'm not really sure what's going on. I really would appreciate some help. Thanks.

  • How do I set FireFox 10.0.7 to always open link in new tab?

    I am wondering if there is a way in FireFox 10.0.7 to set the it so every time I click on a link it opens it in a new tab. I went to configuration mania and options and could not find it anywhere. I also checked on the about:config and found the browser.link.open_newwindow but was unsure what to change the value to to set it so new tabs are opened every time a link is clicked on. Thanks to whomever might help.

  • Certain websites do not open. Instead a 1*1 image gets displayed

    When I try to visit certain websites like www.bidvertiser.com, www.buysellads.com, a white page shows up, the title bar displays the site name followed by (1x1) in brackets. When I right click, 'View Source' option appears disabled. The Save As.. option shows the file type to be gif. However, when I preview the site in Google search results ( by moving the mouse over ) the screenshot of the site displays well. This happens on all the three browsers on my computer: Chrome, Firefox and IE. What is the problem and how can it be resolved? EDIT: At some point of time, they probably worked on my computer! I think it is a more general problem. The same happens when I click on certain links in Google search results.

  • Which free open source CPanel and WHM alternatives do you recommend/use?

    I have been using webmin for some time now, however I miss the elegance and ease of WHM/CPanel combo I've had on shared hosting (and later dedicated hosting) platform. Looking around the web, all I have found that is somewhat at the level of WHM/CPanel was webmin - but WHM/CPanel it is not. Since I'm using this only for our projects, it doesn't matter in the end really. However, we do put our new customers on our servers too, so some sort of CPanel might be an easier thing for them to cope with (mostly going about Email accounts stuff and such). Currently my stack is LAMP (CentOS and Ubuntu Server - several machines, probably ditching CentOS soon in favor of Ubuntu). There is a prospect of Python/Django instead of PHP, but it might take awhile.

    Suppose I have a program named any_program.exe and my operating system drive is C:. The location of the program is D:\Any_Folder\any_program.exe How do I start/execute that program via command prompt in Windows 8? I have tried the command line START any_program.exe, but it shows me an error that Windows cannot find 'any_program.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. By the way, it worked perfectly in Windows 7. And, if I type START notepad.exe or START firefox.exe (Firefox is not installed in C: drive), it works in Windows 8.

  • Is there any declare for toggle() that if its open do this, closed to that?

    Im doing some jquery stuff with toggle(), I'm doing different actions depending on if the current div is closing or showing, i know i can easy check if a div hasClass() or is(':visible') for what i want to do, but I'm thinking maybe there is somehow that i can reduce the amount of code or just do it more efficient? like declare the toggle() with two functions that this is for when its showing and this is for when its closing, is this possible? hope you get what i mean? like this, or check a jsfiddle $('#click_me').on('click', function() { $('#contain').toogle('blind', 300, function (){ alert('open'); }, function (){ alert('close'); }); });

  • ExtJS panel does not render properly unless I open Firebug - WTF?

    I have the following ExtJS Panel embedded in another Panel, which then resides in a TabPanel and the TabPanel is in a FormPanel. With that being said, these start/end date fields are initially displayed in very small cells -- the cells are so small that I see horizontal scroll bars. Now here's the weird part: if I open Firebug, everything pops into place. Does anyone know what's going on?     Using a lightbox like ColorBox or jQuery Lightbox Plugin how can i make a single link which opens a gallery / array of images? For example i have 1 thumbnail and when a user clicks it i want it to open multiple pictures in the lightbox so the user can click next or previous to view all the pictures within that gallery. My thinking was that i just do it as normal 1 link to 1 picture then use jquery to hide all but the first link. There must be a better way? Thanks.

  • Open source app to manage and run commands on cloud servers? [closed]

    I'm creating a SaaS platform, and I need a component / library that can create, delete and store the connection details for cloud servers. It also needs to support executing shell commands on these servers and returning the response to the caller. I want a central database of servers and their configuration, plus the ability to reach out and manage the servers via SSH execution of bash scripts. I don't want something that needs agents on every server like Chef. For example, this command is received by the hypothetical application: CREATE USER server = server12345 name = myuser It's translated into the following set of actions and executed by the app, which knows how to connect to server12345, and how to create a user on that server: $ ssh root@server12345 $ adduser myuser And returns the output from the shell: Added user myuser. I've done research on Google and can't quite quite find something that does this already. I've found: fabric This part handles the executing of the shell commands very elegantly, and can take multiple server definitions, but it's supposed to be a deployment tool so doesn't do everything that would be required above - for example, it doesn't have a daemon mode where it listens for commands - it expects to be executed on the shell. It also can't provide the central database functionality. libcloud This library can handle the server admin (CRUD) part, but doesn't have a command interface daemon either, and doesn't let you execute commands on the servers. I guess I need something that is a combination of libcloud, fabric and django for an API. Or something else that does that same thing regardless of language. Overmind Overmind is a GUI and wrapper around libcloud, but doesn't support the command execution part. What am I missing here?

    I recently decided to start teaching myself C++ and thought a simple encryption project would be a good place to start, since it covers most of the basics (cout, cin, opening files, etc). Is there a way to have the code open a terminal window similar to the one opened when I compile and run from sublime text? I have tried this so far, but it hasn't changed anything. string cmd = "gnome-terminal-x sh-c 'ls-l; exec bash'"; system(cmd.c_str()); Essentially, I would like to be able to run the program by clicking the .exe, and have the terminal where all of the input and output goes pop up.

But on subsequent clicks the window/tab is loaded but remains hidden.     I need to update a ListBox of a Form2 created dinamically. Let's say that in the event where I have to update this ListBox (in Form1 of course) I don't have a reference of this Form2 so I can't call the UpdateList method (and no, I can't make it static). I don't even know if there is a Form2 opened, it could be or not. What do you suggest? Is there a way to loop through all the open istances of Form2?     in MVC3 razor we found that their is no way to watch the design in Visual studio as well we can see aspx file by going to design mode. their is a little trick to solve this issue first is that if you have Expression web or Vs 2008 then open the file on them how see here in expression web 4 you need to add the extension .cshtml and open them as html as we open other. in Visual studio 2008 you need to add the extension .cshtml and set them open as html. well their is no big trouble if design not worked. but in some case when you need to get this issue solved this need to be work for configuration do this: Expression Web 4 > tools > application options > configure editor > click on new extension icon show in exact left put the cshtml in the window they show you and choose expression web [open as html] after that you can see the design in expression web. by default Expression web not have cshtml as known extension so you need to do that to add them because without it they never handle cshtml file and refer them to Visual studio. after setting this you  EW4 open the cshtml file as html and show you design in design mode. in Visual studio 2008 you can use same trick to solve this issue just follow this step > options > text editors > file extension put cshtml in textbox and set the option html editor from dropdown and click on add and ok this will open your cshtml file as html.

    We have a wcf service, that expects to return a huge XML data. It worked ok in testing, but in production it failed with error  "Maximum number of items that can be serialized or deserialized in an object graph is '65536'. Change the object graph or increase the MaxItemsInObjectGraph quota."The MSDN article about   dataContractSerializer xml configuration  element  correctly  describes maxItemsInObjectGraph attribute default as 65536, but documentation for of the DataContractSerializer.MaxItemsInObjectGraph property and DataContractJsonSerializer.MaxItemsInObjectGraph Property are talking about Int32.MaxValue, which causes confusion, in particular because Google shows properties articles before configuration articles.When we changed the value in WCF service configuration, it didn't help, because the similar change must be ALSO done on client.There are similar posts:http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6298209/how-to-fix-maxitemsinobjectgraph-error/6298356#6298356You need to set the MaxItemsInObjectGraph on the dataContractSerializer using a behavior on both the client and service.     I have an open layers map. It adds and removes my "imageFeature" every 10secs or so. I have a JSON feed that gives me the rotation that I need, I have a request to get that rotation and set it as a variable of rotationv. Everything works but the fact when the image is recreated it does not update the rotation. My code is as follows: JSON request: var rotationv = (function () { rotationv = null; $.ajax({ 'async': false, 'global': true, 'url': urldefault, 'dataType': "json", 'success': function (data) { rotationv = data.rotation; } }); return rotationv })(); Creating image feature: imageFeature = new OpenLayers.Feature.Vector( new OpenLayers.Geometry.Point(mylon, mylat), { rotation: rotationv } ); The image is set in the styling elsewhere. Why does this not rotate my image? Debugging with firebug I now notice that "rotationv" is updating as per it should be. But when the point is destroyed then added again it does not apply the new rotation... Add: I realised that the "image" is applied as per the layer. So I need to figure out how to re apply the stylemap to the layer so it will trigger the "update" on the page. //redefine layer 2 so it can be updated - test.js is just a 0.0 ref// var layer2 = new OpenLayers.Layer.GML("Layer 2", "test.js", { format: OpenLayers.Format.GeoJSON, styleMap: styleMap }); But even if I add the above into my function still no luck.     I am currently working on a project related to Websphere Portal 7.0 on Windows Server 2008 R2,64 bit. I am trying to integrate websphere portal with my custom user registry.I have completed all the steps required to implement custom user registry in portal as given in IBM documentation.I am adding my custom repository to the default federated repositories of Portal 7.0.I have made the required changes under VMM Federated CUR Properties section in wkplc.properties.I am using configengine.bat file to configure Portal with user registry. But even completing all the steps,when I am trying to open the Portal Login Page through http://ip-address:port_of_portal/wps/portal ,it is throwing an exception on the console: "Error 500: com.ibm.wps.resolver.data.exceptions.URIProcessingIOException: EJCBD0021E: The URI dav:fs-type1/themes/PageBuilder2/theme.html and parameters [['themeURI'=, 'mime-type'= could not be processed: [EJCBD0021E: The URI dav:fs-type1/themes/PageBuilder2/theme.html and parameters [['themeURI'=, 'mime-type'= could not be processed: EJPSG0002E: Requested Member does not exist.uid=portal,o=defaultWIMFileBasedRealm/null] " and in logs Systemout.log "EJPSB0005E: Exception occurred during creation of the principal with Name uid=portal,o=defaultWIMFileBasedRealm and Principal Type USER caused by com.ibm.portal.puma.MemberNotFoundException: EJPSG0002E: Requested Member does not exist.uid=portal,o=defaultWIMFileBasedRealm/null".     I'm currently in the process of getting started with unit testing and mocking for good and I stumbled over the following method that I can't seem to fabricate a working mock implementation for: function GetInstance(const AIID: TGUID; out AInstance; const AArgs: array of const; const AContextID: TImplContextID = CID_DEFAULT): Boolean; (TImplContextID is just an alias for Integer) I thought it would have to look something like this: function TImplementationProviderMock.GetInstance( const AIID: TGUID; out AInstance; const AArgs: array of const; const AContextID: TImplContextID): Boolean; begin Result := AddCall('GetInstance') .WithParams([@AIID, AContextID]) .ReturnsOutParams([AInstance]) .ReturnValue; end; But the compiler complains about the .ReturnsOutParams([AInstance]) saying "Bad argument type in variable type array constructor.". Also I haven't found a way to specify the open array parameter AArgs at all. Also, is using the @-notation for the TGUID-typed parameter the right way to go? Is it possible to mock this method with the current version of PascalMock at all?

  • Why would fopen fail to open a file that exists?

    I'm on Windows XP using Visual Studio 6 (yes I know it's old) building/maintaining a C++ DLL. I'm encountered a problem with fopen failing to open an existing file, it always returns NULL. I've tried: Checking errno and _doserrno by setting both to zero and then checking them again, both remain zero, and thus GetLastError() reports no errors. I know fopen isn't required to set errno when it encounters an error according to a C standard. Hardcoding the file path, which are not relative. Tried on another developers machine which the same result. The really strange thing is CreateFile works and the file can be read with ReadFile. We believe this works in a release build, however we are also seeing some very odd behaviour in other areas of the application and we're not sure if this is related. The code is below, I don't see anything odd it looks quite standard to me. The source file hasn't changed for just under half a year.     Hi, I have a single user software that uses SQL Server database 2005. My computer was crushed while my software was on. I saved a copy of my database after I rescued my computer. However my software gives my following message. ( I don't know anything about SQL) However, I guess my database has the last login information. Since software was not shot down properly, it still thinks that I am logged in doesn't allow me to login again. How can I solve the problem? Can you help me?
