  • What action is my Symfony/Doctrine generated form actually going to?

    In my Symfony 1.4 project I am using the doctrine:generate-admin task to create the modules that compose my backend system. One such module is "journeys". When I view the source of the "journeys/new" page (which displays the form to create a new journey entity) the action of the form is simply "journeys" (I expected it to be "journeys/create"). The "journeys" route on its own would call the executeIndex method - however I put a log call in there and upon form submission, the log is not made. So this leads me to believe that executeIndex is NOT being called, and another piece of code is being fired upon form submission that then (depending on a hidden input in the form) calls either executeCreate() or executeUpdate(). Problem is, I don't know where that would be happening. Any insight would be much appreciated.     I'm working on an AJAX login system. Right now, when the user clicks on a link, the login form is dynamically loaded when the person clicks on a "log in" link. Since I'm using AJAX for this, I want to prevent the form from actually submitting when the submit button is clicked. I tried the following code as part of my load function, and the form loads correctely, but the form still submits normally. $('#loginBox').load('loginform.php'); $('#loginBox form').submit(function(event) { event.preventDefault(); }); How can I fix this?

  • Why Resource (.resx) file added on merely changing Form size and on adding button which is not resou

    1- Resource files suppose to be added on adding some resource in application like image or audio or video etc. But if I just change size of form a .resx file under that particular form. Changing size of form does not add any resource so why this .resx file. 2- I dropped a button on form and a resource file is included again this button is not some kind of resource, it is object created and having information in designer file. 3- A resource file added on dropping button on form but if I delete this resource file and run application it compile and run with NO error and button is still there. If this button has any relation with resource file then there must by some kind of compile or runtime error AND if .resx file has nothing to do with button then why it was added? I am using VS 2008.     I have a "members" table in mysql which has approximately 200 field names. Each user is given up to 7 website templates with 26 different values they can insert unique data into for each template. Each time they create a template, they post the form with the 26 associated values. These 26 field names are the same for each template, but are differentiated by an integer at the end, ie _1, _2, ... _7. In the form submitting the template, I have a variable called $pid_sum which is inserted at the end of each field name to identify which template they are creating.   • Symfony file upload - "Array" stored in database instead of the actual filename

    I'm using Symfony 1.4.4 and Doctrine and I need to upload an image on the server. I've done that hundreds of times without any problem but this time something weird happens : instead of the filename being stored in the database, I find the string "Array". I just check to make sure it's valid. If it is, I forward to the main page of the app. <form action="/django/instaton/submit/" method="post"> {% csrf_token %} {{ form.as_p }} <input type="submit" value"Submit" /> </form> And there's my template (in the correct location). When I try to actually fill out the form and just validate it, even if I do so correctly, it sends me back to the form and says "This field is required" between Name and Content. I assume it's referring to Content, but I'm not sure. What's my problem? Is there a better way to do this?

    Hey, In order to avoid spamming, I would like to add a waiting time to re-submit a form (i.e. the user should wait a few seconds to submit the form, except the first time that this form is submitted). To do that, I added a timestamp to my form (and a security_hash field containing the timestamp plus the settings.SECRET_KEY which ensures that the timestamp is not fiddled with). How can this be done with either javascript or the jquery framework? EDIT by the way, it would be nice if this can be achieved without the page needing to refresh and losing previously submitted form data. I know form data can still be kept using variables that store the values even on page refresh, but I was hoping for that effect that I see on a lot of sites where the additional text area (or other form element) just appears without page refresh.

    I am designing a system in Share Point via Share Point Designer. We have a form in my Share Point site. Users have to fill some fields in the form and send it to the approval committee. We cannot upload anything to the servers. The design is site based. Our problems are: 1- I want to add small (?) icons for the descriptions of that field. When the user click on the (?) icon for "brief description" field a pop-up or another window will be opened and perhaps it will say: Enter a description of the requested thing. Be as specific as possible. 2- I want to change the font colors of the fields in the form. The share point brings them black as default. Such as I want to see the "Brief description:" and "Status:" as purple instead of black. Brief description: ..... Status: ..... 3- I want to add an agreement pop-up to the new form which will be open just after clicking "send" button in the form. The pop up will say: "Are you sure that you read the procedure" . The user has to click "Yes" to continue sending the form. Otherwise It will return to previous screen again. I would be glad if you kindly help me.

Example: The following should be matched (ignoring attributes): .. <form> .. <input/> .. </form> .. But the following should not (ignoring attributes): .. <form> .. </form> .. I have tried everything from look-arounds to capture groups but it quickly gets complicated. I want to believe there is a simple regex to capture the problem. Please note that it is important that the regex pairs the opening and closing tags according to the HTML code which means the following does not work: <form>.+<input/>.+</form> because it matches wrongly like this: .. <form> <--- This is wrongly matched as the opening tag .. </form> <form> <-- This is the correct opening tag of the correct form .. <input/> .. </form> <--- This is matched as the closing tag ..

    I have a thumb gallery where I am using ajax/javascript to submit a form per image to report the image as broken seamlessly along with php. The form and script is templated so the script is in the header and then the form is printed multiple times on the same page with a hidden field with a different id for the value per thumb. So basically this is what i have. javascript in header just a quick idea of the forms i have. Just a quick idea not what I actually have. image1 followed by the form image2 followed by the form So when you hit the button it basically submits all of the forms at the same time. I am sure it can be fixed with a (this) or something like that so it only submits a single form at a time.     Do you have fond memories of the 'Help -> About This Record'  functionality that used to be available in the old Customer form - when it was a form, and not a java html screen?  Back in Release 11i, we had the ability to identify when the customer record had last been updated and by whom.  When some forms were replaced by Java HTML screens, you could identify some of this information via the 'About this Page' hyperlink at the bottom left hand corner of the HTML page.  You could enable this by enabling the FND: Diagnostics profile option, but many customers found this had an adverse effect on performance and additionally was not user-friendly.   Our customers tell us that this feature was widely used to identify owner/update information in many business processes, including auditing, customer entry/update, research and testing.  There have been various efforts to revert this feature by customising java pages, but this was not fully successful in some cases.  Oracle Support is happy to announce that this functionality has now been included in the Customer screens in Release 12.2 onwards.   You will be able to query the record history at customer level, at site level, at site address levels and for all tabs relating to the customer.     So I have an unbound form that I use to save data to a table on button click. Is there a way I can have subforms for entry that will allow me to save data to the table within that same button click? Basically I want to add more entry options for the user, and while I know other ways to do it, I am particularly curious about doing it this way (if it can be done). So lets say the 'parent form' is frmMain. And there are two child forms "sub1" and "sub2". Just for example sake lets say on frmMain there are two text boxes: txtTitle & txtAuthor. sub1 and sub2 both have a text Box on them that represent something like prices. The idea is Title & author of a book, and then a price at each store (simplified). I tried this and got an "Access cannot find the form "" ". I think I can pretty much see why on this approach too, because when I click the button that calls the new sub form into the parent form, the values that were just entered are not held/saved as sub1 closes and sub2 opens. I should mention that the idea above is not intended to be a one or the other approach, rather both sub forms used everytime. so this is an example. i want to use this method (if possible) to have about 7 different sub form choices in one form, and be able to save to a table via a SQL statement. I realize that there may be better ways, but I am just wondering if I can get there with this approach out of curiousity. Thanks as always!

Then what I need to do is save the e-mail into that created folder. Please help me to do it. I think we can import those folder names to a separate form and select one from there, then I can save e-mails (e-mail datails is in the data grid and I need to save them to new folder) Please help me with the code. I am very confused and I'm not sure how to do it.
