  • Why is my htaccess file preventing access to my MP3 file?

    My Zend Framework application has a public directory which contains an htaccess file. If the file isn't found in the public directory, it routes the request through the application. I have an MP3 file within my public directory, but the htaccess file is routing the request through the application! Do you see anything wrong with my htaccess file?   • Running Fedora 8, never upgraded. How to do so?

While trying to install these systems, I was appalled to discover that our current version of Fedora (version 8) is almost two years past EOL.   • Cookieless domain alternative

    I have only one folder that would benefit from a cookieless state, therefore setting up a whole subdomain for that seems a bit overkill for now, so I was wondering if deleting the cookie using mod_header in that specific folder would be enough or if it truly requires a different subdomain/domain ? For example, a .htaccess containing this in the /js subfolder of a webapp ? Header unset Set-Cookie

    I am using nginx in reverse proxy mode. In my server section I have this code to set expire and cache control of my static files. location ~* ^.+\.(css|js|png|gif)$ { access_log off; expires max; add_header Cache-Control public; if (!-f $request_filename) { proxy_pass http://localhost:82; } } This is quite obviously creating issues. Can someone help me correct this code to use try_files or rewrite?

  • nginx + apache subdomain redirection fault

    i really need your advice folks since i'm experiencing some troubles with nginx & apache2 subdomains configs first of all, there's a site (say, site.com) and two subdomains (links.site.com and shop.site.com) whose files are physically located at the same level of FS hierarchy as the site.com itself my hoster has configured both apache and nginx by my request, but it still doesn't work as it used to both of subdomains point to the main page of site.com for some unknown and implicit (for me) reason :( my assumption is that's happen because site.com record is placed first in both configs?!.. please help me solve this out!     I can't figure out how to redirect / to index.html. I've gone through the threads on serverfault and I think I've tried every suggestion including: rewrite statements within location / index index.html at the server level, within location / and within static content moving node.js proxy statements to location ~ /i instead of within location / Obviously something is wrong somewhere else in my configuration.   • How to create a file on UESTUDIO FTP window when the folder it's empty?.

    When I'm editing some files ( html, css, js ) on UESTUDIO by FTP I'm able to browser folders, create new files on existing folders, but when I create a new folder and try to create a new file it won't allow me to select the "create new file" choice on the menu. Also, if I uncheck the "Show current directory only" option, then the menu to create folders and files on the current one ( that worked before ) disapears and I'm unable to use it. When I remove the link line from the HTML doc for site_header.css and instead use an @import url("/css/site_header.css"); in my main.css file, the same results -- nothing gets rendered for for the same div. Now when I take the CSS markup from site_header.css and add it to main.css, the div gets rendered fine... So I am wondering if having multiple css files is somehow not working... or maybe having that css markup at the end of my previous css is somehow conflicting, though I cannot find a reason why it would.

    I am working on a WPF application (a one note clone which is called "note your life") where you can dynamically assign Tags to an entry (just as in virtually any web 2.0 app these days). for this I had in my windows forms prototype a FlowLayoutPanel that did the job very well. I want to have the tags float to the next line if there isn't enough space and get a scrollbar if needed. how can this be achieved with WPF? I played around with <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal" FlowDirection="LeftToRight" ...> but this doesn't move the elements in the next line if needed. Any suggestions?

  • Uploadify Not Working

    Hello, I'll re-edit this to tackle the uploadify issue. Its very strange, essentially the script isn't uploading and isn't triggering onAllComplete. Also if I try to upload an image that's to large, and click Upload files, it skips from 0 to 100%. But does not trigger onAllComplete. It does not upload either. Whats strange, is I have an earlier revision of this and the codes no different and it works, ive tried switched back to the same jquery/uploadify/layout and it still doesnt work. However due to the nature of uploadify not being very forthcoming about errors or whats going on, I can't figure out where its going wrong!     I would like to create a widget so that my visitors can display it on their blog/website. I would like to use jquery and jsonp to develop this widget. I know how to avoid conflicts between jQuery and other libraries (like prototype). But what will happen if jquery is already installed on my visitors' websites and if their version is different from my version ? What I mean is: what if, for example, they run a script using an older jquery version and which is not compatible with my jquery library ? Does it stop working ? Is their any workaround ?

    Hi guys, i recently got a prebuild application which uses MYOB odbc connection to myob file. the odbc connection works perfectly in that application i uses the same odbc connection string in other application but it failed to open in that application. the connection string is perfectly identical but it wont works the new application.   • How to fix flicker when using Webkit transforms & transitions

    I have a very simple demo working that uses Webkit transforms and transitions for smooth horizontal scrolling between 'panels' (divs). The reason I want to go this route as opposed to a Javascript driven system is that it's for the iPad and Javascript performance is quite poor, but the css transforms and transitions are smooth as silk. Sadly though, I'm getting a lot of flicker on the iPad with my Demo. You can see the demo here You'll need safari or and iPad to see it in action. I've never seen this happening in any of the demos for transforms and transitions so I'm hopeful that this is fixable. Anyway here's the code that powers the thing....   • Problems with Widgets in dojox DataGrid

    I am trying to include some editing Widgets in my dojox.grid.DataGrid seem to be having a lot of difficulty. I have tried everything I can think of to get it to work, but something just isn't going right. When I started having problems, I tried to copy almost exactly from the grid tests and model my "breakout" of code just like that, but without success. Basic editing of the Grid seems to work. In the example below, the "Events" column allows edits, but the two columns that are using the cellType attribute don't work. In fact they also seem to ignore the other attributes (like the styles) which would seem to indicate that some sort of issue was run into, but there is nothing in FireBug.   • SSL Login in iFrame

    My UI prototype requires me to show the sites login info all the time. Either I should show the usual username and password textbox or "you are logged in as". The last bit don't have to be secure, as it's only info to the user, nothing I will use server side. But the first part should send secure to the server. It seems that I would have to use https for all pages on the site then. I would like to only use ssl for the things that are required to be secure. One way is putting the login information into a https://../login.aspx and show it on my mainpage as an IFrame. One disadvantage I can see is that the user won't know that https is being used, unless they read the IFrame src in the source code. What do you think?

    Hi! I'm implementing a new machine learning algorithm in Java that extracts a prototype datastructure from a set of structured datasets (tree-structure). As im developing a generic library for that purpose, i kept my design independent from concrete data-representations like XML. My problem now is that I need a way to define a data model, which is basically a ruleset describing valid trees, against which a set of trees is being matched. I thought of using BNF or a similar dialect. Basically I need a way to iterate through the space of all valid TreeNodes defined by the ModelTree (Like a search through the search space for algorithms like A*) so that i can compare my set of concrete trees with the model. I know that I'll have to deal with infinite spaces there but first things first. I know, it's rather tricky (and my sentences are pretty bumpy) but I would appreciate any clues.   • ExpressionEngine Segment Variables Lost on Site Index Page

    Hey Everyone, I've been messing with this for days now and can't seem to figure it out. I am trying to pass a 2nd segment variable to my client's index page. The URL I'm trying is: http://www.compupay.com/site/CSCPA/. The problem is, rather than showing the site's index page with the segment variable of "CSCPA" still in the URL, it shows the index page with no segment variables. And the problem is I am more of a programmer than a mathematician (yes I had learnt Probability and Bayesian theorem back in school, but out of touch for a long long time, and I don't have luxury of learning it now (Have nearly 3 weeks to come-up with a working prototype)). So if someone can explain or point me to location where its explained for programmers than a mathematician, it would be a great help.
