  Hi, I would like to create an image of my own. I already know its width (320*2 = 640) and height (427). So I have some raw data : unsigned char *rawImg = malloc(height * width * 4 *2 ); Then, I will fill it :) Then, I have to do something like that to get a bitmap and return a (UIImage *) : ctx = CGBitmapContextCreate(rawImg,width*2,height,8, ???, ???, kCGImageAlphaPremultipliedLast); UIImage * imgFinal = [UIImage imageWithCGImage:CGBitmapContextCreateImage(ctx)]; CGContextRelease(ctx); return imgFinal; But I don't know how to create my context ctx, as you can see with the "???", even tough I read the documentation...   Hello, I'm looking for a decent WPF data grid or solution involving one to represent financial data. I've looked at many - the WPF one, XCeed, Ingragistics, DevExpress, etc.... but none of them seem to offer the simple requirement I have: I want to be able to display group subtotals in their columns in the group row, e.g. GROUP 1 xxxx.xx GROUP 2 xxxx.xx ROW 1 xx.xx ROW 2 xx.xx Does anyone know of a grid that does this, or a nice supporting collection that implements aggregate functions (group totals would need to be used in individual line items) so that existing grids with a bit of XAML styling would work? • Will SQL Server Partitioning increase performance without changing filegroups

  Scenario I have a 10 million row table. I partition it into 10 partitions, which results in 1 million rows per partition but I do not do anything else (like move the partitions to different file groups or spindles) Will I see a performance increase? Is this in effect like creating 10 smaller tables? If I have queries that perform key lookups or scans, will the performance increase as if they were operating against a much smaller table? I'm trying to understand how partitioning is different from just having a well indexed table, and where it can be used to improve performance. Would a better scenario be to move the old data (using partition switching) out of the primary table to a read only archive table? Is having a table with a 1 million row partition and a 9 million row partition analagous (performance wise) to moving the 9 million rows to another table and leaving only 1 million rows in the original table?

• PHP: Strange behaviour while calling custom php functions

  I am facing a strange behavior while coding in PHP with Flex. Let me explain the situation: I have two funcions lets say: populateTable() //puts some data in a table made with flex createXML() //creates an xml file which is used by Fusion Charts to create a chart Now, if i call populateTable() alone, the table gets populated with data but if i call it with createXML(), the table doesn't get populated but createXML() does it's work i.e. creates an xml file. Even if i run following code, only xml file gets generated but table remains empty whereas i called populateTable() before createXML(). Any idea what may be going wrong? The closest I can come is multiple cubes, so for int[,,,] [5,10,2,7] would be cube 5, row 10, column 2, layer(depth) 7. I'm not sure if this is the best way to visualize a 4-D array, though... and I'm not sure it's the best way to teach it... however it does have the advantage of being extensible ( a row cubes, a table of cubes, a cube of cubes ( 6-d array ) Cubes through time is another way that I can think of it. Am I on the right track here?

  While reskining GridView (ListView with more columns), I ran into a problem, that I couldn't change the color of the Highlighted row. I searched the internet and found out, that adding this can help. <SolidColorBrush x:Key="{x:Static SystemColors.HighlightBrushKey}" Color="Transparent" /> <SolidColorBrush x:Key="{x:Static SystemColors.ControlBrushKey}" Color="Transparent" /> This solved the issue for some people but it didnt help me. The Highlight color was still in system default. I finally managed to change the color of the selected row, but the highlight is still visible around the border of the row plus i need to get rid of the Highlight in the ColumnHeaders.   I've read that it's unwise to use ToUpper and ToLower to perform case-insensitive string comparisons, but I see no alternative when it comes to LINQ-to-SQL. The ignoreCase and CompareOptions arguments of String.Compare are ignored by LINQ-to-SQL (if you're using a case-sensitive database, you get a case-sensitive comparison even if you ask for a case-insensitive comparison). Is ToLower or ToUpper the best option here? Is one better than the other? I thought I read somewhere that ToUpper was better, but I don't know if that applies here. (I'm doing a lot of code reviews and everyone is using ToLower.) • Flex Datagrid File Download old value

  Hi, We use a AIR client and WAMP server. Got a weird issue with Flex datagrid. When I download an image by double clicking on a datagrid row, the file gets downloaded correctly. But when I go on to select another row for download, even though the correct parameters are being passed, it again prompts download of old file. Upon cancelling that and trying again, it picks up the selected row. • Devision in c# not going the way i expect

When i load those 2 vars with the values i get back "800" and "500" i expect "verH" to be (500 / 800) = 0,625. Tho the value of verH = 0.. • Is it possible that __doPostBack() would ever send a GET request?

  I'm having a problem with telerik RadGrid, I want to enable multiple row selection. I also want to go to the server whenever a row is selected or deselected. I created a javascript function to handle the Grid's client side events (OnRowSelected, and OnRowDeSelected). The functions look like this: function onOperationRowSelected(sender, eventArgs) { __doPostBack("<%=myControl.ClientID %>", "rowSelected:" + eventArgs.get_itemIndexHierarchical()); } The other function is very similar, the only difference is that it sends the string "rowDeselcted" instead of "rowSelected". On Page_Load I check to see if the request is a Post request using "IsPostBack" and if so, I check to see if it's a rowSelected or rowdeselected. My problem is when I select a first raw on my grid, a Post request happens (which is expected), however, when I select the second row, a GET request is issued, which (obviously) will result in IsPostBack returning false. What am I missing here?

• Importing an Excel WorkSheet into a Datatable

  I have been asked to create import functionality in my application. I am getting an excel worksheet as input. The worksheet has column headers followed by data. The users want to simply select an xls file from their system, click upload and the tool deletes the table in the database and adds this new data. I thought the best way would be too bring the data into a datatable object and do a foeach for every row in the datatable insert row by row into the db. My question is what can anyone give me code to open an excel file, know what line the data starts on in the file, and import the data into a datable object?

  After going into Edit mode, moving a cell, and leaving edit mode, i am left with one extra cell sitting on top of its duplicate cell while still in edit mode.   I am using POI to create an Excel spreadsheet in Java. • Focus element inside iframe when iframe attached to Jquery Dialog

  Hi, I have a iFrame which i load into jquery dialog. I want to focus an element inside the iFrame whenever the Jquery Dialog is being opened.
