• C# Gui setting control.Enabled to false fires OnClick event???

  For some really weird reason when i set the .Enabled property to false on a simple text box on a small GUI, it fires a radio buttons OnClick event and its causing lots of problems. • Binding a DropDownList in ListView InsertItemTemplate throwing an error

  I've got a ListView which binds to a LinqDataSource and displays selected locations. The insert item Contains a dropdownlist that pulls from another LinqDataSource to give all the unselected locations. The problem is that I get the following error when loading the page: Databinding methods such as Eval(), XPath(), and Bind() can only be used in the context of a databound control. I'm doing a very similar setup in another page of the website, and it isn't giving us this error so I'm pretty confused. I know I can work around this by not binding, manually finding the control and getting the value, but this should work and I don't understand why it isn't. Any thoughts? • jQuery modal Dialog over iFrame

  I am using jQuery UI dialog for modal popups. I have some iframes in my page as well. The iFrame (z-Index = 1500) sits on top of the parent page (z-index =1000). I open the modal dialog from the parent page. I am trying to set the z-index using $('modal').dialog('option','zIndex',3000); but this is not working. I also tried stack:true (to stack it on top), and .dialog( 'moveToTop' ) as well, but they don't seem to work.   NEWBIE ALERT! background: For the first time, I am writing a model that needs to be validated. I cannot have two Items that have overlapping "date ranges". I have everything working, except when I raise forms.ValidationError, I get the yellow screen of death (debug=true) or a 500 page (debug=false).   I am attemping to use NetUseAdd to add a share that is needed by an application. My code looks like this. But in attempting to move over to Server 2008 and IIS7 this doesnt work any more. • pagination for displaytag with colorbox in Spring framework

  Hi..... I want to display the pop up for user selection using colorbox. I have put link on manageblacklist.jsp named 'select'. when I click on 'select' link ,colorbox is displayed. all user is displayed but pagination is not worked. I have used display tag for pagination. Without using colorbox, pagination is worked fine. I have used spring framework. • WPF Toolkit Datagrid - how do you turn selection off?

  I have a datagrid in WPF that I am binding to an object. I have a DataGridCheckBoxColumn on there which I want the users to be able to go through and tick the ones they want. Problem is they have to click twice, once for selection then again to check/uncheck. How on earth do you turn this off, I've been searching for way to long to find the answer to this. The datagrid has SelectionMode and SelectionUnit properties - neither of which accept 'none' or 'go away' Any help is appreciated! • Flex, Ant, mxmlc and conditional compilation

  My ActionScript project builds with several compile-time specified constants. They are all Booleans, and only one of them is true at any given time. The rest must be false. When I represented my build process in a bash script, I could loop through the names of all these constants, set one of them to be true and the rest to be false, then concatenate them onto a string to be inserted as a set of arguments passed to mxmlc. In Ant, looping is more complicated. I've tried the ant-contrib for tag: <mxmlc file='blah' output='blah'> <!- ... -> <for list='${commaSeparatedListOfConstNames}' param='constName'> <sequential> <define> <name>${constName}</name> <value>${constName} == ${theTrueConst}</value> <!-- (mxmlc's define arguments can be strings that are evaluated at compile time) --> </define> </sequential> </for> </mxmlc> Long story short, ant-contrib tags like the for tag can't go in the mxmlc task. • Usercontrol losing Viewstate across Postback

  I have a user control which uses objects as inner properties (some code is below). I am having trouble with setting the attribute of the Step class programmatically, when set programmatically it is being lost across postback which would indicate something to do with Viewstate (?). When setting the property of the Step class declaratively it's working fine. • Disable Razors default .cshtml handler in a ASP.NET Web Application

  Does anyone know how to disable the .cshtml extension completely from an ASP.NET Web Application? In essence I want to hijack the .cshtml extension and provide my own implementation based on a RazorEngine host, although when I try to access the page.cshtml directly it appears to be running under an existing WebPages razor host that I'm trying to disable. Note: it looks like its executing .cshtml pages under the System.Web.WebPages.Razor context as the Microsoft.Data Database is initialized. I don't even have any Mvc or WebPages dlls referenced, just System.Web.dll and a local copy of System.Web.Razor with RazorEngine.dll I've created a new ASP.NET Web .NET 4.0 Application and have tried to clear all buildProviders and handlers as seen below: <system.web> <httpModules> <clear/> </httpModules> <compilation debug="true" targetFramework="4.0"> <buildProviders> <clear/> </buildProviders> </compilation> <httpHandlers> <clear/> <add path="*" type="MyHandler" verb="*"/> </httpHandlers> </system.web> <system.webServer> <modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true"> <clear/> </modules> <handlers> <clear/> <add path="*" name="MyHandler" type="MyHandler" verb="*" preCondition="integratedMode" resourceType="Unspecified" allowPathInfo="true" /> </handlers> </system.webServer> Although even with this, when I visit any page.cshtml page it still bypasses My wildcard handler and tries to execute the page itself. • Why updatepanel triggers another updatepanel?

  I have two update panels at my ajax page. This is first time I'm using updatepanel and I don't know what is wrong. I think only btnFilter's Click event must trigger the second update panel's content but changing combo values (which also hides/unhides btnFilter button) makes second updatepanel change content (at least I see transferred data with firebug & second updatepanel blinks sometimes).   I'm trying to derive a new class from an old one. • sIfr (3.436) and IE8 - My h1 and h2 are flickering

  I am using sIfr (3.436) for my H1 and H2 tags. In IE8 the text flickers and jumps around alot. See example: http://www.addenergy.no/drilling-production/category352.html I have tried various font-tuning as explained at Wiki.Novemberborn, but can't get a good result. Any help to lead in the right direction is appreciated! • EJB3 - @Column(insertable="false") question

  Hi All, I'm building a J2SE application with EJB3 and an Oracle Express Edition DB. My problem is like that - I set an EntityBean in my project which matches a table in the DB. The table contains a column which is not nullable and has a default value. All I want is that when persisting a new data to this table using the EJB, the column's value will get its default value. This is how I set it in the project: //holds user's first name @Basic(optional = true) @Column(name = "FIRST_NAME", insertable = false, updatable = true, nullable = false) private String m_firstName; I also set it in the ORM.XML file: <basic name="firstName"> <column name="FIRST_NAME" insertable="false" updatable="true" nullable="false"/> </basic> But for some reason, when creating a new EntityBean and not setting the first name field, and then trying to persist it, i get the following exception: Exception [TOPLINK-4002] (Oracle TopLink Essentials - 2.1 (Build b60e-fcs (12/23/2008))): oracle.toplink.essentials.exceptions.DatabaseException Internal Exception: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("TSDB"."USERS"."FIRST_NAME") Which means that the persistence manager tries to insert the first name field although I told it not to. Am I doing something wrong here ? Thanks!
