• DL380 G7: Not able to access ILO on DL380 via ssh from a client

  I have problem where I can't access my ILO(ssh to ILO IP) thru client which is in different network.I am able to ping ILO IP thru this clinet but ssh access is not possible. Is it possible to have ssh to ILO IP from a client which is in different network? FYI, from the same client I can do ssh to server application IP but ssh to this server ILO IP is not possible. Kindly help? Some more info added: ILO IP address is 10.247.172.70 and its VLAN is different than Client VLAN. Client IP address is 10.247.167.80. ping to ILO IP from this client is possible but not ssh. I can do ssh to ILO IP if I try to do it from the server(hostname:node1) having ILO port or from the other node of this cluster itself,So ssh login is enabled. • Command does not execute in crontab while command itself works just fine

  I have this script from Colin Johnson on Github - https://github.com/colinbjohnson/aws-missing-tools/tree/master/ec2-automate-backup It seems great. I have modified it to send email to myself every time an EBS snapshot is created or deleted. The following works like a charm ec2-automate-backup.sh -v "vol-myvolumeid" -k 3 However, it does not execute at all as part of my crontab (I didn't receive any emails) #some command that got commented out */5 * * * * ec2-automate-backup.sh -v "vol-fb2fbcdf" -k 3; * * * * * date /root/logs/crontab.log; */5 * * * * date /root/logs/crontab2.log Please note that the 2nd and 3rd execute just fines as I can see the date and time in log files. What could I have missed here? • How does Windows 7 DNS client work?

  I am using a local DHCP and DNS server on my home network on a linux machine. It is running CentOS 6.3 with dnsmasq 2.48. It's all working fine except for local DNS lookups for Windows machines only. I have a mix of Ubuntu, CentOS and Windows machines on the network, some virtual, some physical. I was able to create a VPN connection from another company that has the same internet service provider. The problem begins when I'm trying to connect from another ISP like Orange or Telekom. • Virtual Machine Network Services causes networking problems in Vista Enterprise 64 bit install

  I have a Quad-core/8GB Vista Enterprise 64-bit (SP2) installation on which I installed Virtual PC 2007. I have a problem that is opposite of all that I found searching around the Internet--everybody has problems making network connections from their guest VM. When Virtual Machine Network Services is enabled in the protocol stack for my network card across a reboot, it causes access problems to the network. The amount of time to login in using a domain credentialed account is upwards of 3 minutes, then after reaching the desktop the network and sharing center shows that my connection to the domain is unauthenticated. Disabling and re-enabling the Virtual Machine Network Services (uncheck in network properties/apply/recheck/apply) fixes the problem. And as long as I have the VMNS disabled when I shutdown the restart runs smoothly. I just have to remember to enable after login and disable before shutdown. I have un-installed and re-installed Virtual PC 2007 multiple times with restarts between. The install consists of the SP1 + a KB patch for guest resolution fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Some additional information... At one point during my hairpulling and teethgnashing with this, I tried to ping my primary DC and observed some weird responses: (Our DC is 10.10.10.25, my dynamic IP was 10.10.10.203) Reply from 10.10.10.203, Destination host unreachable. Request timed out. Reply from 10.10.10.25: ... This is not consistently repeatable, but thought it might strike a chord with someone.

  I've got ProxmoxVE2.1 ruled KVM node on Debian and bunch of VM's guests machine. Escape character is '^]'. 220 mail.domain.com ESMTP Postfix (Ubuntu) To sum thing up: a) Postfix (running on 10.10.10.4 / mail.domiain.com) refuses connection from a host in the same LAN (10.10.10.2), but only when queried through the FQDN (mail.domain.com) b) mail.domain.com accepts connections to other services (but Postfix) from 10.10.10.2 c) mail.domain.com accepts connections to all services, including Postfix, from the outside world If it were a firewall issue, then I believe it would not be possible to connect to any service from 10.10.10.2 through the FQSN / public IP. It ought to be some missing parameter in Postfix, although I haven't found any clear pointers so far.

However, the last step which says to change the CHMOD of a folder, I got an error saying that the directory does not exist. • Edit TabControl template in Silverlight project

  I'm trying to modify the template for the TabControl in my silverlight application. I used Expression Blend to get the Template and copied it into my project. I did this before for Expander and got it to work with a few minor adjustments. The template for TabControl references the ns/assembly "clr-namespace:System.Windows.Controls.Primitives;assembly=System.Windows.Controls" and uses the TabPanel control from it. I can't seem to make a reference to this. • Persistent static routes fail on MacOS 10.6.5 startup!

  I'm unable to get static routes to persist a reboot on Mac OS 10.6.5. I've tried all of the methods prescribed in Google search results, and previous posts on this site. I've tried manually creating a launchd daemon, and used RouteSplit's launchd daemon to no avail. It's clear that the interface is not ready when these methods attempt to apply the route. This workstation in question is getting its IP from DHCP and probably hasn't gotten its DHCP lease when the command runs. We're able to apply the route by hand when logged in, but not through startup methods. Is there another way to apply this route by sneaking the command into something later, but before the login window appears to the user? Here is some relevant log info from system.log. You can see the "route: writing to routing socket: Network is unreachable" errors where my launchd script fires off. I've tried adding extra "sleep" and "ipconfig waitall" statements later in the script but this doesn't fly. • WPF add c# code to customcontrol

  I want to create simple custom control (derived from control and with look defined in generics.xaml). I need to change size of elements defined in generic.xaml, when control is resized! It would be great to write some of that generic.xaml part in C#. Is that possible? Or is there a way to create MVVM like custom control? What i am willing to create is simple blinking led control (on,blinking, off).

• Dual Control / Four Eyes Principle

  I have the requirement to implement some kind of Dual Control or Four-Eyes-Principle, meaning that every change of an object done by user A has to be checked by user B. A trivial example would be a publishing system where an author writes an article and another has to proofread it before it is published. I am a little bit surprised that you find nearly nothing about it on the net. No patterns, no libraries (besides cibet), no workflow solutions etc. Is this requirement really so uncommon? Or am I searching for the wrong terms? I am not looking for a specific solution. More for a pattern or best practice approach.
