  • Steps to deploy a custom routing protocol

    I'm a Ph.D Student and I'm researching a Service Centric Networking architecture with resourceallocation on a large scale. What I'm looking to do is expand an existing routing protocol like OSPF with extra fields and some new message types that I need for communication between Nodes. I want to manipulate the cost of a network link and I want paths to be calculated like in OSPF V2/v3, but using the cost that my algorithms have calculated. What I have I have the source code of OSPF from Quagga. I am assuming I can edit this code how I want, including packet structures and creating new types. Yes, I am aware it won't be easy but this is a 6 years research project and I am eager to develop something new, to move forward. What I need I would like to know how I can deploy the edited OSPF source files I have (written in C) on any type of server. I have a large testbed environment available with hundreds of virtual nodes and pretty much any OS out there. So if I want to test my extended protocol, how do I make all the nodes in a network use this to communicate? I do not understand what parts of the kernel I need to edit here. I tried searching for days now and I am unable to find how to deploy a non-existing routing protocol, without the use of an application-level framework. If somebody could push me in the right direction that'd be awesome. note: I need this to be a routingprotocol and not an application, since I want this to work on op of the network layer for performance reasons.     All, I have an application written in Zend MVC Framework. So, naturally all regular requests and ajax requests go through /public/index.php. I want my application to support maintenance mode. So, in my index.php file, I have the following code: if( Zend_Registry::get('config')->maintenance == 'true' ) { header('Location:/maintenance.php'); } The issue is, when ajax requests are called they render servermaintenance.php inside the page instead of redirecting to this page. How can I make sure it gets redirected instead of getting rendered? Thanks

    I'm running Windows 8 Pro on a laptop. I initially installed the OS just to fiddle round with it and get to know something I'd inevitably end up having to fix for someone. The problem being I only gave the partition about 32gb and that ran out pretty quick. I'd like to install office and get used to that as well but unfortunately I'm a few gigabytes short. I'd like to know if I can change the install location of office 2013 and other apps so that I can run them from another partition because there is no space left to the right of this partition I can't extend it.

When i refresh the page, the form doesn't disappear, but when i click a link with a query string (thisPage.php?lang=fr...), the form disappears. I know i m asking the form only if the button is pressed, but how can i ignore the query string.

    So I have this web app set up and running and it works fine for any username that you request, but when i try http://mrcastelo.pythonanywhere.com/lol/euw/Nazaré, it simply doesnt work - the error that I get on the server is the following: iddata= getJSON(urllolbase+region+urlid+username) #SummonerID UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xc3 in position 5: ordinal not in range(128) It is annoying me greatly, I've tried some other threads but none of them came to a fix. The api that I am using (www.legendaryapi.com) does accept this because this works. Any idea on how to fix this?

  • iptables 1.4 and passive FTP on custom port

    after the upgrade from debian squeeze to wheezy I've got a problem with passive FTP connection. I could narrow it to be iptables related, as I could connect via FTP w/o problems after adding my IP to the iptables ACCEPT rule. Before the upgrade I was able just to do modprobe nf_conntract_ftp ports=21332 and adding iptables -A THRU -p tcp --dport 21332 -m state --state NEW,ESTABLISHED,RELATED -j ACCEPT now..it doesn't help anymore. The INPUT rule is being triggered as I can see in the counter, but the directory listing is the last thing it does. Setting up a passive-port range is the last thing I want to do, I dislike open ports. I also tried the trick with helper mod by adding following rule before the actual rule for 21332 iptables -A THRU -p tcp -i eth0 --dport 21332 -m state --state NEW -m helper --helper ftp-21332 -j ACCEPT but it doesn't help and is even not being triggered according to counter.     Hello, I have a JList that shows multiple JPanels on them , i have created a custom renderer that returns a new JPanel. The JPanels are displayed in the JList but they are not accessible, i cant select them and if i have a button or a text area in it i can not press it. I want to try if this works in a JList because i want to do further pagination. I managed to get it work by adding panels to a Jscroll pane, but would love to make the JList thing work. Thanks
