• SMB returns the entire file instead of header info

  Starting a section of code checks for access to many data files (flat files so each table is a file) and when I do a packet capture, in our capture only the header info is sent by the server to the client. However I have one Customer who is using a SAN that gets the whole file instead of just the header info,and besides just being slower, this is causing file access issues. They have already turned off OPLOCKS at the server and at the workstations. This is not client server. The data files and the application reside on the server but the users run the application locally via a shortcut with a mapped drive or UNC. So when I simply select an option that prompts for a vehicle number, not tryng to select a record but rather simply verify the datafiles are accessible, that window opens in 1-2 seconds for me. When they do the same thing it takes 6-15 seconds after there several users are running the program. Maximum number of users is 15. The program has a lot of small modules, 800 .cob modules. So it is very chatty but these are datafiles. We have Wireshark captures that show he's pulling the whole file and we're just getting the header. Thier capture vs ours. We suspect the SAN. Has anyone ever heard of a SAN improperly interpreting runtime requests? So an SMB request. This is Acucobol-GT (now Microfocus). The application is written in COBOL. This is not a new program just a new problem. This is one customer of over a thousand who are otherwise running smoothly and we are totally stumped. All XP users, the server is Windows 2003 (with Virtual server) and I don't yet know the SAN info. Also we have many installations running virtual servers but only few on SANs or we just don't know it. This is not a network throught put issue, the load is less than 5% on the server and theer are no timeout or retransmits. PS If it wasn't for Wireshark I'd still be chasing my tail. An application trace file on thier installation just looks like they run slower. If you want the Wireshark trace file I can make it available.   Whilst pondering about security, and setting up different VM for certain online activities deemed more risky or requiring extra security (banking, or visiting untrusted websites, etc), I came to think about how such a setup (different VMs for different uses) would defend me against a keylogger. So, two questions then: 1: If a keylogger has been installed inside a VM, can it capture data outside its own VM? 2: The opposite, does a keylogger in a host capture strokes typed within a VM residing in that host? My bet would be No and Yes respectively, but I really have no idea. Anyone else does?

• Boot sequence unlike reboot

  When I turn on the computer it acts very differently than when I reboot it. [WinXP Pro, Intel Core2 6600, 2.4GHZ, 2GB RAM, NVIDA GeForce] Boot: Monitor must be plugged into the motherboard or no image. Screen resolution 800x600. Changes to the resolution cause only the top half of the screen to be usable, and are lost when I shut down the computer. Desktop icons arranged in neat rows on left of desktop. Nothing of note in system tray In Device Manger - Display adapter: Intel(R) Q965/Q963 Express Chipset Family In Device Manger - Monitors, two monitors are listed Hibernate and standby work. Reboot: Monitor must be plugged into the graphics card or no image. Screen resolution - 1280x1024 Desktop icons arranged in the cute circle that I put them in. NVIDIA icon shows in system tray. In Device Manger - Display adapter: NVIDA GeForce 6200LE In Device Manger - Monitors, one monitor is listed Hibernate and standby do not work. When awakened after a hibernation it says: The system could not be restarted from its previous location because the restoration image is corrupt. Delete restoration data & proceed to system boot? Double reboot (inconsistent): Monitor must be plugged into the graphics card. Screen resolution - 1024x768 Odd icon shows in system tray whose tooltip says "Intel Graphics" For a while my morning ritual was to boot, wait, reboot using (alt+ctrl+del - ctrl+u - R), wait. Keeping the monitor plugged into the graphics card. But aside for the inefficiency of this method, I sometimes want to standby and can't. On the other hand, the computer is unusable when set to 800x600. Please help, anyone?

• SCCM deploy from VMware XP image

  We recently set up the latest version of SCCM and I managed to capture a .wim image from a virtual machine (build and capture task sequence). I want to use this .wim file to deploy winXP to different hardware, and therefor need to add device drivers to the task sequence. I created a driver package per laptop type, and deployed for the first time. However, I am getting a BSOD (0x00007B) which leads me to believe theres a problem with the storage drivers. After adjusting the task sequence to try and point to the mass storage drivers (which are applied at F6, I suppose) I do not get a list of compatible drivers (the list is empty). I looked around, and found some issues regarding hdc class drivers that are not recognized as mass storage drivers. The workaround suggested changing the INF file to make the driver a SCSIAdapter class driver, and importing these again, but to no avail. The list remains empty. Any help is much appreciated

• Using avconv (ffmpeg) to concatenate a bunch of .bmps into a mkv/avi video

  Hoi, Trying to figure out how to get avconv to concatenate a bunch of .bmps together into a video file. Here's what I've got so far: avconv -f image2 -i Capture/%d.bmp -vcodec mpeg4 -r 24 -b:v 20M Capture.mkv While this does work, the quality is terrible - there are tons of artifacts that are visible, the colours are distorted and everything is blurred. I've trawled through the documentation for avconv and ffmpeg, but can't find anything that increases the quality. Any ideas as to how I can get the quality as close to the original bmps as possible? • Multiheaded X.org with a single workspace-pool

  I've got an idea for x.org/$randomwindowmanager in combination with a multiheaded setup, but I haven't figured out how it should work. Also I don't really know where to place the feature request. Now for the idea. I've been working with screen (wikipedia:GNU_Screen) for some years now. One thing I like about it, is the fact that I can get a multi-display mode (screen -x), so you can have multiple terminals all connected to the same screen. The fun thing about it, is that you can get 2 terminals with the same content and switch my onscreen layout, without moving the terminals. I admit, in screen it's not extremely useful, but I think for a wm it can be. Imagine this. You've got two monitors and 4 workdesks. On one workdesk I've got my IDE with code, on the second one I've got the output, on the third one I've got the documentation and on the forth one I've got my e-mail and IM clients. At one moment, I want my IDE and output on my monitors, another moment my code and documentation and Yet another moment my IM to consult a colleague and documentation or code. Finally my colleague comes to help me at my desk. I'd like it if we could both watch the same workdesk without him sitting on my lap, so I turn one monitor so he can see it better. It would be great if we could see the same thing that's on my monitor (exclude mousepointer). The thing with most WMs is that your workspaces on the two monitors are either separated or glued together. If they're separated, you can change workspaces on each monitor autonomous, but you can't exchange applications between monitors because they're different x-clients (iirc). If they're glued together (xinerama), you can exchange the applications, but when changing your workspace, the other monitors change too. So, what I'd like to know is this. Is this already possible or should I submit a feature request somewhere (and if so, where?)

• How to take screenshots of WPF applications in correct size and content

  I usually take screenshots of single windows via the built-in key combination Alt+Print. Unfortunately this does not work well for more and more applications - all of them are WPF applications. Usually the screen shots have at least one of the following properties: the screenshot is larger than expected and contains parts of the screen around the actual window the screenshot has the correct size but includes parts of other windows, e.g. the Windows task bar. Of course the task bar might be in front of the window, but taking screen shots of "normal" programs works fine. How do I take screenshots of WPF application which are correct in size and content? I'd like to avoid the extra effort of checking all the screenshots for correctness, reproducing the situation, taking them again in case of issues or repairing/faking them manually in any pixel manipulation program (e.g. Paint.NET). I observe this on Windows 7 x64 SP 1, all official updates installed, but it might apply to other Windows versions as well (not tested yet). .NET 4.5 is installed. The application itself might only need the built-in .NET 3.5.1. It's reproducible on a virtual machine with the same settings. Examples: Screenshot of an application running in maximized mode. The screen shot includes parts of the task bar. Screenshot of a progress dialog which is behind the task bar. The screenshot also includes the task bar, while it doesn't for non WPF applications.

• Zoneminder camera permanently idle

  I have an Ubuntu server with zoneminder installed. I only have one camera (cheap Logitech USB model) and it seems to be permanently idle. • Skip new Windows 7 user selection and go to login prompt

  We've begun our migration to windows 7 and we ran into an interesting issue. When we hit "CTRL+ALT+DEL" we are brought to the "User selection Screen". Normally, this screen will have an icon for every local user for the machine. These machines are Domain members with "Fast User Switch" disabled so no user names are listed only the "Other User" option. If you click "Other User" or hit enter, the system moves on to the normal login screen where it prompts for user name and password. Here's the issue: We want to find a way to skip over the part where a user selects "Other User". We essentially want the system to always assume that we always want "Other User" and to go directly to the login screen when a user hits "CTRL+ALT+DEL". What I find odd is that the "Other User" doesn't show up until we've had more than one domain user log in. Right after we re-image the machine, the login process goes directly to the user credential prompt. Anyone have any ideas?

• Configuring a MySQL 5.1 Instance on Windows 7 Professional x64 Fails

  I'm trying to set up my laptops to function as mobile development environments. Installing the software on my Linux machine and getting it configured was fairly straightforward, however I'm having trouble getting MySQL 5.1 Server installed and configured on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I'm currently using the Windows MSI Installer for the complete MySQL 5.1 system (as opposed to the Essentials installer also available). I've tried to install using both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of MySQL 5.1 - the same events occur in both. I've installed both the Server Instance Configuration Wizard and Workbench and everything appears to be installed just fine. When I open the Instance Configuration Wizard, I select Detailed Configuration. On the next screen, I select Development Environment, then Multifunctional Database on the next screen. I leave the InnoDB settings unchanged. I select Manual Setting with 5 concurrent connections. I enable TCP/IP Networking on Port 3306 and Enable Strict Mode. I select the Standard Character Set. I check the boxes for Install as a Windows Service (and provide the name "MySQL") and Include the Bin Directory in Windows PATH. On the next screen, I set my root user name and password. I do not enable root access from remote machines and I also do not create an anonymous account. On the final screen of the wizard, when I click "Execute", the first two tasks (Prepare Configuration and Write Configuration File) complete. However, when it reaches Start Service, the wizard hangs and becomes unresponsive ("Not Responding" appears in the title bar and Task Manager). I would really like to be able to use both my Windows and Linux laptops as full-blown mobile development environments, but I can't do that without being able to run MySQL. Has anyone encountered this problem before? What options do I have to correct it?

• How can I get Windows 8 to automatically disable touch when I am using my Wacom pen and turn it back on when I am not

  I have an HP convertible tablet computer which I just upgraded to Windows 8. The problem (which existed under Windows 7 as well) is that this tablet has both a capacitive touch screen (with multi-touch) AND a wacom-type tablet built in to the screen that works using electro-magnetic resonance with the provided stylus. My Use Case: Most of the time I am happy using my fingers and the touch interface for navigation and whatnot. However, when I want to get down to serious note-taking/drawing, I want to use the wacom functionality. The problem is that any comfortable writing position has me resting my arm/hand on the screen, which activates the touch technology (despite supposed palm-detection algorithms) and completely screws up my input paradigm. My Ideal Solution: Ideallly, since wacom technology senses when the pen is "close" to the screen, I would love to have touch be automatically disabled whenever the wacom pen is detected, and turned back on when it is out of range. this would allow me to seamless switch between the two input methods, and since I NEVER want to use both at once would work perfectly for me. An acceptable alternative: As a next best option, It would be great to be able to turn off the touch functionality (leaving the wacom in place) whenever I entered specific apps (e.g. OneNote, Photoshop, Gimp, Pencil, etc.) and then have it turn back on when I left that app.... As a worst case at least lets me use my PC option: If I could create a shortcut (tile or otherwise) that flips the touch on and off without going all the way through the nested computer settings, that would be better than nothing. • Replacing the LCD panel in a netbook (Asus Eee PC 1005)

  Yesterday, I was cleaning up and dropped my Asus Eee 1005PE. The screen is cracked inside (i.e., cracks are visible only when on), and no longer works properly. I booted up with another monitor attached, and the computer itself is fine, but needs a new screen. Best Buy wants at least $250 to repair it (that includes their $150 fee to breathe in the same room as the unit), and Asus was of no help at all. (They're incredibly cagey and won't provide any money numbers at all, not even the cost of the part.) If replacing the LCD is no more trouble than replacing memory or a hard drive, I can do that. It's within my means to buy the part (18G241010402, a TFT LCD), but I'd like to know more about the procedure involved. My question: How does one replace the screen in this unit? Do I simply open the case and swap out the unit, or do I need to disassemble anything else to get to the screen? I don't want to order the part and then end up in a situation like this. Is the case screwed shut, or is it like an iPod where they glue things closed? I know enough about my abilities with a soldering gun to not attempt to solder tiny wires, would any of that be involved?

• Switching from Onboard intel to Nvidia Dedicated GPU

  How can I switch from Intel onboard grpahics to Nvidia Dedicated GPU? When I go to windows screen resolution I see intel. I cant change it. I go to Device Manager, I see both Adapters are there and Nvidia is known.I disabled intel, I didnt see any option to set one as primary so I disabled intel, black screen!Reboot and re-enable intel. I right click on the desktop, choose "Nvidia Control Panel" and on 3D options I chose the desired game I want to play, High performance Nvidia, but it didnt switch when I started the game. Then I made preferred GPU in the global settings High performance Nvidia for everything it still didnt change.I understand to save the battery etc. there is a switch option between these two but I dont see this switch when it is necessary, I cant also switch manually?Is there a manual switch FN key?I looked but couldnt find. Why I want to do this? 1) Better game peformance. 2) I want to play an old game from 2002(Diablo 2 LOD), when I start the game there are black bars on the sides, so screen becomes just smaller which I dislike!I heard this is intel's specification to center the display.But instead I would like to scale or expand it to fit widescreen(fullscreen).Which should be possible with Nvidia. My Notebook Specs: Fujitsu Lifebook AH531, Win7 , 64 bit, i5, intel HD graphics onboard, Nvidia GT 525. I didnt install Nvidia later, it was always installed and ready from the moment I turned on the computer first time. How I determined that the cards werent switched when I am playing the game: with the windows key I exited from the game, then looked at screen resolutions menu, still saw intel, also the game was still with black bars.I know intel GPU should enough for Diablo 2 but I am interested in this answer for further games, I dont always play Diablo, what if I install an up to date game for example?Then Intel will not be sufficient.I would like to learn the switch option.

• Flickering dual screens in Virtual Box Ubuntu 13.10 Guest

  I have Ubuntu 13.10 x64 installed as a guest in VirtualBox (under a Windows 8.1 host) and have the settings for the virtual machine setup to run with a monitor count of 2, 128MB video memory and 3D acceleration enabled. In my guest I have the virtual box additions installed (which allowed me to have two 1920x1080 screens). Here's a screenshot of my VM settings. My laptop is an Asus N550JV which has both Intel's HD Graphics 4600 GPU and Nvidia's GeForce GT 750M. By default though I believe the Intel GFX card is being used to render the VM. When I boot up the VM it loads perfectly on dual screens, however whenever I move the mouse from one screen to the other (I have a Dell S2340L running over a HDMI connection as a second screen) the screen flickers. I've tried a variety of settings changes in both Ubuntu and the VM settings, but cannot seem to stop this screen flicker. I also used the NVidia control panel in Windows to force the dedicated graphics card to always be used but found that the display driver sometimes crashed whilst working in the VM, resulting in my VM session being destroyed, so I figured it's better to stick with the Intel GFX as that appears to be more stable. I also tried without 3D acceleration but that was much worse, and if I ran the VM with a low amount of graphics memory it really struggled. Here's my dmesg output: http://pastebin.com/1LJuYWMj (not sure if this is helpful in this situation). I read some posts suggesting changes to /etc/X11/xorg.conf but I don't appear to have an xorg.conf file. There were also a few posts (though related to Synergy) suggesting running xset -dpms but this command doesn't appear to have had any effect for me. As an additional note, I'm finding that window drawing in the guest is a little laggy/glitchy. For example, quickly scrolling through a web page may result in parts of the viewport displaying original content. Certainly I notice drawing issues most in the web browser, but it also impacts other software with parts of the window not being drawn when, say, switching between accounts in thunderbird. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

• Recommended Smartphone for Reading PDFs [closed]

  This is as much a software than a hardware question. I use a lot of public transport and perhaps the best way to spend your time there is to read while listening to music. Currently I use Nokia E90 and Adobe Reader LE 2.5 (full version). I was wondering if there are any better alternatives? Requirements: at least 640px wide screen, preferably 800px physical size of the LCD display matters, it should be large, but the phone itself should be as small as possible. This favors touchscreen models PDF reader should be of high quality. It should render most PDFs correctly. Other important features include: full screen mode, keyboard controls for Page Down and page change, multiple zoom levels to adjust to the screen, opening recent documents at the last page read Downsides of E90 + Adobe Reader LE Phone is large compared to the display It is hard to read the display at sunlight Adobe Reader crashes the phone regularly, zoom could have more levels, doesn't remember last page EDIT: Switched to iPhone and GoodReader. Smaller physical screen width compared to E90 is a disimprovement, but other than that I'm happy. GoodReader is the highest quality smartphone PDF reader I've seen so far.

• Looking for an application that scrolls or pans netbook screens running Windows

  I'm looking for a Windows 7 and XP compatible Windows desktop panning/scrolling tool. This is to solve a problem where some applications for example MSN have settings/preference Windows that are not resizeable. I have a Netbook with a small maximum screen resolution e.g. 1024x600. The fixed non-resizeable windows are too large for this display screen size so I cannot see all of the items on these windows, particularly the OK button to save settings. What I would like is a desktop scrolling/panning tool where if I move my mouse pointer to any edge of the display, it pans to show the region of the too-large-fixed window that I could not see. I use a Samsung N110 and Toshiba NB100 netbooks. I'm looking for: A general program that provides desktop panning/scrolling/expanded resolution to allow all regions of a non-resizeable fixed window Preferably a non-graphics hardware specific program but will accept a solution that works with both the above machines I'm NOT looking for (i.e. unsatisfactory answers others have asked that I've already searched and found): Advice on what programs to use that DON'T have the problem of fixed windows Alternative operating system solutions Plugging in an external monitor with larger resolution - I use this option but I need a solution when one is not available, e.g. while travelling etc Advice about not using small screen netbooks - I enjoy the compact convenience of them Advice about change the dpi settings in the Control Panel Display settings Advice about guesswork with the tab key to move the focus the off-screen item I cannot see Thank you in advance.

• Download videos from youtube as I see it

  This may seem a somewhat strange requirement : I want to download youtube videos as I see it. I know that I would have to capture the packets using a program like wireshark , and I do know that this is possible. So lets say I have 3 computers on my network and 1 smartphone. Lets say I view a youtube video on my phone. I now want this video to be recorded on any one of the computers so that I can see it later(record in the sense capture the packets so that I dont have to download it again and waste my bandwidth). Are there any programs which will do this for me? The reason I want this is I use IMediaShare to view youtube videos on my Tv. Now once I see a video if I want to see it at a later point of time I have to download the entire video again.

• Serious 64-bit laptop

  For the past couple of years, I have been using an IBM Thinkpad T60p for daily work (software development, desktop & embedded). I am extremely satisfied with this machine, due to its robustness. It also has a few features I depend on: a high resolution display: 15.0" TFT FlexView display with 1600x1200 (UXGA); excellent keyboard; decent graphics and CPU performance. Some of the software I develop benefits from larger amounts of RAM, and 3GB (Windows 7 32-bit) or 4GB (Windows 7 64-bit on T60p) are no longer sufficient. My customers run desktop computers with 20GB and more, and I need to have at least 8GB to at least be able to run reasonable test cases. So I'm shopping around for a new laptop, but I'm struggling to find anything that matches my requirements: must run Windows 7 64-bit Pro or higher; must support at least 8GB of RAM (more is better) high screen resolution! While I prefer 4:3 I can live with wide screen. But I really hope to find something with a vertical screen resolution similar to what I have now... portable, so < 16" but = 14" I realize that FlexView isn't available anymore, but I'd like to avoid a glossy screen if possible. decent (not more) graphics performance, ideally hybrid (I'm doing a lot of CAD, never games). good keyboard reasonable CPU -- but I'm still fine with my current Core 2 Duo, so that shouldn't be too complicated. The T60p fits all those requirements, except the 8GB of RAM. Can you help me find a current notebook that would match most of them? I don't mind changing brand. Thanks!

• Win 7 Remote Desktop connection failure when already logged in.

  I have a bit of a strange problem, magnified recently by my broadband dropouts. I wasn't sure whether to post this on SU or SF, so I thought I'd start here as more users would be likely to know what the problem is. In short, when I try and connect to my server (Windows Server 2008) from my laptop running Windows 7, I can only connect if my remote account was previously logged out. If I'm still logged in I get the error message: Windows cannot connect to the remote server. No explanation or anything. If my IP address is the same, I don't have this problem. If I boot up Windows XP Mode and run XP's remote desktop connection it works just fine -- I think the difference there is it takes me to the remote server's logon screen. With Win 7 RDC you never see the logon screen, it asks you for credentials before entering full screen mode. The real problem is that I'm having random broadband dropouts and my IP isn't static. If I logon via Win XP RDC, log out and then run Win 7 RDC then it works fine. I realize I can just use Win XP's RDC for now, but I don't really like keeping XP Mode open if I can help it. Does anyone know a way around this problem? Maybe forcing Win 7 RDC to go to the logon screen, or changing some server-side settings to work around the IP address issue?

• How do I add a counter for process data in perfmon.exe for a process that isn't currently running?

  I would like to perform an ad hoc capture of data using perfmon.exe for a process that runs during the night. I know the name of the executable--lets call it Foo.exe. If the process were currently running, I would go to the Add Counters dialog in perfmon, switch to the Process object, and select the Foo instance from the list. However, it's not currently running. Is it possible to set up perfmon so that it will capture process data for this process when it starts, and if so, how would I configure it to do so?

• After RAID failure SBS 2008 issues logging in and Exchange store does not mount

  today has been one of those days. Yesterday a hard drive in our Dell Poweredge 2900 server failed and the RAID array didn't degrade gracefully, so I called Dell (Server still under warranty) and got an engineer to work though the RAID issues with me. He was a nice guy but didn't do too much. We tried to put the RAID in a state where it was bootable and even though we only lost one disk there are still issues with the server. Once we got the server to boot there was an error message saying that the logonui.exe was corrupted and we needed to run chkdsk. I clicked through the error messages and the login screen never came up. So I power cycled the server and it chkdsk automatically but the login screen didn't appear. I tried safe mode, no difference there either. So the issues I am currently having are: 1) The server boots up, the loading windows screen comes up then it dumps me into a black screen where I can only see my mouse cursor. Ctrl+Esc doesn't work Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't work 2) Some of the services come up: DHCP, DNS, DFS, and Print come up 3) The exchange information store and transport service don't start - I tried using mmc to connect to services.msc on the computer and start them but they throw an error message of "Can't start because group or dependency failed" Has anyone had a problem like this? • Microsoft Outlook: Export list of currently opened PST files

  At my current workplace we are upgrading various users from XP to Windows 7. Frequently the users have anywhere from 10 to 30 or so .pst files opened within their installation of Microsoft Outlook 2007. These users are particularly helpless without these files. I know how to view the list of currently opened PST files, and would like to know if there is an easy way to capture that information other than taking screenshots of the Options - Data Files window. Does migwiz.exe transfer this information? Is that the only way? Would there happen to be a tool that will let you capture and restore that information? I don't want to export or move the actual .pst's themselves (yes, some of them are on network locations, very terrible, I know), just reopen ones in a new installation of Outlook that used to be opened in a previous installation.

• Diff bios - corrupt video driver

  Hi, I'm using an Dell M90 Precision Laptop which has a NVidia Quadro FX 2500M graphics card and is running Windows XP. Laptop has been running fine - but a few weeks ago screen went 'white' - restarted computer- bios and startup screens show weird green dots and stripes, normal startup only shows a black screen... only VGA mode works to display something. I've been trying to remove and reinstall the correct drivers downloaded from Dell's website - no solution. I gave up and reinstalled XP - everything was working perfect again. 2 weeks later - again the white screen - tried everything again (flashin new bios also - nothing works) Reinstalled XP - everyhting was working again, so I made a DriveSnapShot of the partition. Today - again the 'white screen'. Ok, no problem ...I was thinking all I needed to do was to restore the DriveSnapShot backup... Few minutes later the backup is restored ... but guess what: video driver does not work correctly... As the DriveSnapShot restored the complete partition, as it was at the time everything was working perfectly, this would mean my driver problems are due to 'settings' in the bios or on the graphics-card itself + these 'settings' can get overridden by doing a new XP-install.... I'm out of options, can somebody help me to find a solution for this problem: Is there some way to backup and restore a bios after seeing some problems? Is there some way to know what is causing this problem like a bios diff utility? Thanks!

• TOP CPU usage for whole system

  I am using a machine that has using cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep processor | wc -l returning 8 I am trying to load the server using a load generator that I wrote, and capture the behaviour of TOP command for idle (as the software that is tested on server runs on ROOT). Doing the load as an increasing step function, I capture the idle state every second, and see the result. Strange thing is that when I increase the load every 1 minute, the idle state is infact increasing (??). This honestly does not make sense .. I thought with more load, the idle state will decrease, and the cpu usage will increase. Is there any reasonable explanation for this behaviour, maybe for the server utilization itself? Thanks for any feedback -- ok, no idea for the down vote. but I try to find this behaviour a lot, can not find any reasonable things to explain this ..
