Anyway, it just arrived and now I am trying to get it to work... The manual is not very informative other than telling me, this is the vga in, this is the vga out, this is the s/video out etc. Plus it tells me the system should support the following resolutions@refresh rate: 640x480@60/72/75Hz 800x600@60/75Hz 1024x768@60Hz I can connect it to my laptop and then I connect the S/Video and the Video to my tv which only gives me a blurred image (like when you set your monitor to a resolution it doesn't support). The VGA out however works fine to my tft monitor. The are two switches on the converter. I think one switches between s/video and video and the other between PAL and NTSC. But alas, no combination seems to give a better picture (it does give a different picture). Can anyone help me to solve this problem? I have downloaded this program called powerstrip, but I have no idea how to use it and if it can even solve my problem... Thanks in advance. I use Windows XP on a Lenovo t60p and I try to connect it to a Philips 32PFL7403D/12 LCD TV from VGA to a converter to S-video or video.

  • Twisted: why is it that passing a deferred callback to a deferred thread makes the thread blocking a

    I unsuccessfully tried using txredis (the non blocking twisted api for redis) for a persisting message queue I'm trying to set up with a scrapy project I am working on. I found that although the client was not blocking, it became much slower than it could have been because what should have been one event in the reactor loop was split up into thousands of steps. So instead, I tried making use of redis-py (the regular blocking twisted api) and wrapping the call in a deferred thread. It works great, however I want to perform an inner deferred when I make a call to redis as I would like to set up connection pooling in attempts to speed things up further.     On Windows XP, I ran "configure", and Qt says that I'm configured to use phonon, but I'm not sure how to set up my environment correctly in Qt Creator. According to the Qt documentation, I need to call: Set DXSDK_DIR=C:\Program Files\Microsoft DirectX SDK (February 2007) %DXSDK_DIR%\utilities\bin\dx_setenv.cmd C:\program files\Microsoft Platform SDK\setenv.cmd How do I do this in the Qt Creator IDE?     Hi, I had downloaded and installed the 1.6.9 version of SVN from http://subversion.tigris.org/. After the installation I noticed that if I launch the command "svn" from the terminal, my Mac still uses the old version, the 1.4.4. If i want to use the new version, I need to specify its path, like this: - /opt/subversion/bin/svn commit instead of: - svn commit There is a way to solve this problem and use the new version of the command without typing the entire path?     I have a Ubuntu Server. From the terminal, how should I install JDK? In this guide it says to use this command: sudo apt-get install sun-java6-bin sun-java6-jre sun-java6-jdk But on Suns website, it says JDK includes the JRE, so why the JRE in the line above? Anybody know how to actually install Java? Every guide and every forum shows different ways of doing it. BTW: It is a VPS (virtual private server) Thanks

    I am receiving the error noted below. I have built/rebuilt the files sevaral time. I have alson renamed the file the file in the *.exe The NetworkAssociation.exe file is in the debug folder. Any help would be wonderful Visual Studio cannot start debugging because the debub target 'c:\NetworkAssociation\NetworkAssociation\Bin\Debug\NetworkAssociation.exe' is missing. Please build the project and retry, or set the OutputPath and AssemblyName properties appropriately to point at the correct location.

  • jQuery Draggable and overflow issue

    I am having an undesired effect when I drag a div from a container div which is set as overflow: scroll. I have found an example of someone else where they have had the issue but I have been unable to find a resolution Example on Paste bin What happens is that the scroll is just increased, I can see why this would be the desired behaviour if you wanted to drag to a destination within the scrollable div but I want to be able to take it outside of its scrolling grasp.     In a Debian server, and after intallation and removal of SquirrelMail (with some downgrade and upgrade of php5, mysql...) the MySQL extension of PHP has stopped working. I have php5-mysql installed, and when I try to connect to a database through php-cli, i connect successfully, but when I try to connect from a web served by Apache I cannot connect. This script, run by php5-cli: echo phpinfo(); $link = mysql_connect('localhost', 'user, 'password'); if (!$link) { die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); } echo 'Connected successfully'; mysql_close($link); Prints the phpinfo, which includes "/etc/php5/cli/conf.d/mysql.ini", and also the MySQL section with all the configuration: SOCKET, LIBS... And then it prints "Connectes successfully". But when run by apache accessed by web browser, it displays the phpinfo, which includes "/etc/php5/apache2/conf.d/mysql.ini", but has the MySQL section missing, and the script dies printing "Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect()". Note that both "/etc/php5/cli/conf.d/mysql.ini" and "/etc/php5/apache2/conf.d/mysql.ini" are in fact the same configuration, because I have in debian the structure: /etc/php5/apache2 /etc/php5/cgi /etc/php5/cli /etc/php5/conf.d And both point at the same directory: /etc/php5/apache2/conf.d -> ../conf.d /etc/php5/cli -> ../conf.d Where /etc/php5/conf.d/mysql.ini consists of one line: extension=mysql.so So my question is: why is the MySQL extension for PHP not working if I have the configuration included just in the same way as in php-cli, which is working?
