    I am using TCPDF to generate PDF file using following command $pdf-writeHTML($htmlcontent, true, 0, true, 0); TCPDF also provides a way to create barcode with following commands $pdf-Cell(0, 0, 'C39+', 0, 1); $pdf-write1DBarcode('Code 39', 'C39+', '', '', 80, 15, 0.4, $style, 'N'); $pdf-Ln(); I want to be able to write barcode as part of the HTML code above. Is there easy way? I can potentially call a barcode image inthe writeHTML code above, but not sure how to use above barcode function ( or any in TCPDF) which would allow me to create image and then get that image into HTML generation

  • Web form / CGI scripting: User enters "word", IFrame displays "word".html

    Okay, I'll admit being a designer, I don't know much about how data is handled from the servers in forms... (basically the whole programming part). Basically I have a text field that the user types something like "apple", this gets sent to the server and then displays the apple.html page that I have in a directory in an IFrame. If anyone can show me how to do this in a PHP script or Perl, would be great thanks! I think this is good start, it gets more complicated than this... I later have to convert the "apple" into something like 2321 and display 2321.html instead. If anyone can find a CGI script that does this, thanks!

  • Stuck with Regular Expression code to apply HTML tag to text but exclude if inside <?> tag

I'm trying to write a bit of regex which would go through some text, written by our Editors, and apply an <acronym> tag to the first instance it finds of an abbreviation set we hold in our "Glossary of Terms". So for this example I've used the abbreviation ITS. 1st thing I thought I'd do is setup an example with a mix of scenerios I could test against, i.e. ITS sitting with punctuation, in HTML tags & ones that we've applied this to already (in other words the script has run through this before, so no need to do again). I'm almost there but just got stuck at the last point :-(. Here's the regex I've got so far - <[^<|]+?>?>ITS<[^<]+?>|ITS The Example - FROM ( EVERY ITS IN BOLD TO BE WRAPPED WITH ACRONYM ): I want you to tag thisITS, but not this wrapped one - <acronym title="ITS" id="thisIsATest">ITS</acronym> This is another test as I still want to update <p>ITS</p> that have other HTML tags wrapped around them.` ITS want ones that start sentences and ones that finish ITS.   • newbie: Rails on remote Apache server not displaying index.html.erb

    I played around with Rails on my laptop (running Linux + Apache + MySQL) and had no trouble getting the Getting Started with Rails tutorial to work locally. Now I'm trying the same thing at work on a remote Mac OS X + Apache server, and things aren't quite so rosy. I typed rails blog -d mysql to create a directory called blog in /Library/WebServer/Documents/mydirectory. The trouble is, if I go to server.com/mydirectory/public, I get the public/index.html in my browser. But, I don't get this file if I go to server.com/mydirectory/. Instead, I get a 403 error. Also, when I: script/generate controller home index to create: app/views/home/index.html.erb I am unable to view this file, whether I go to server.com/mydirectory/home/index, or if I add a new line (map.root :controller => "home") to config/routes.rb and go to server.com/mydirectory. Am I missing something really obvious about Apache and Rails?

    I've got HTML component as part of a datagroup itemrenderer which I need to resize the content of (there are lots of them). This works quite well but the content looks really crusty. No font antialiasing. Even at 50% looks crusty. I've considered generating thumbnails bitmaps on load 'complete', but that would be my last resort. <mx:HTML location="{uri}" width="900" height="660" scaleX=".25" scaleY=".25" /> Any ideas?     I have a read a number of excellent questions and answers today about dealing with user input. I am now using htmlspecialchars() to display user data in the create/edit forms (but accepting the raw input via prepared PDO statements into my database). The main question I know have is, what do you do when you are allowing the user to submit HTML which will then be displayed to the public. Obviously htmlspecialchars() is no longer suitable as it just encodes the tags and renders the content useless for purpose. My application is currently accepting HTML from an admin for product descriptions. This would allow a malicious admin to inject potentially unsafe data into public facing pages. How do people cope with this?

    Hi! I've been struggling for a while with this one; I'll try to explain it here as simply as possible. Consider this MySQL table: +----------+-----------+---------+--------+ |status_id |session_id |pilot_id |present | +----------+-----------+---------+--------+ |1 |61 |901 |1 | |2 |63 |901 |1 | |3 |62 |901 |0 | |4 |62 |902 |1 | |5 |63 |903 |1 | +----------+-----------+---------+--------+ Both session_id and pilot_id are foreign keys making reference to a primary key in another table. The same pilot_id can be associated with different session_id, but every pilot_id-session_id combination is unique. I need to make an HTML table (in PHP) that would display the data like this: +----------+---------+---------+---------+ | |61 |62 |63 | +----------+---------+---------+---------+ |901 |X | |X | |902 | |X | | |903 | | |X | +----------+---------+---------+---------+ Hence, rows are pilot_id and columns are session_id. When a pilot_id-session_id combination has a present value of 1, the corresponding cell should be checked. (ie. when the row-combination is zero or the combination does not exist in the MySQL table, nothing should appear in the HTML table) Phew. Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Emailing HTML from within an iPhone app is stopping at special characters

    Hi, I have an iPhone app that will let users email some pre-determined text as HTML. I'm having a problem in that if the text contains special characters within the text (e.g., ampersand &, , <), the NSString variable that I use for sending the body of the email gets truncated at the special character. I'm not sure how to fix this (I tried using the method stringByAddingPercentEscapesUsingEncoding…but this hasn't fixed the problems). Thoughts on what I'm doing wrong / how to fix it?     Question: I have an xml file that I am pulling from the web and parsing. One of the items in the xml is a 'content' value that has HTML. I am using SimpleXML/XMLin to parse the file like so: $xml= eval { $data-XMLin($xmldata, forcearray = 1, suppressempty= +'') }; When I use Dumper to dump the hash, I dsicovered that SimpleXML is parsing the HTML into the hash tree. 'content' => { 'div' => [ { 'xmlns' => 'http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml', 'p' => [ { 'a' => [ { 'href' => 'http://miamiherald.typepad.com/.a/6a00d83451b26169e20133ec6f4491970b-pi', 'style' => 'FLOAT: left', 'img' => [ etc..... This is not what I want. I want to just grab content inside of this entry. How do I do this?

    Hi, I have a tricky problem and I'm not sure where in the view rendering process to attempt this. I am building a simple blog/CMS in MVC and I would like to inject a some html (preferably a partial view) into the page if the user is logged in as an admin (and therefore has edit privileges). I obviously could add render partials to master pages etc. But in my system master pages/views are the "templates" of the CMS and therefore should not contain CMS specific <% % markup. I would like to hook in to some part of the rendering process and inject the html myself. Does anyone have any idea how to do this in MVC? Where would be the best point, ViewPage, ViewEngine?   • Parsing html for domain links

    I have a script that parses an html page for all the links within it. I am getting all of them fine, but I have a list of domains I want to compare it against. So a sample list contains list=['www.domain.com', 'sub.domain.com'] But I may have a list of links that look like http://domain.com http://sub.domain.com/some/other/page I can strip off the http:// just fine, but in the two example links I just posted, they both should match. The first I would like to match against the www.domain.com, and the second, I would like to match against the subdomain in the list. Right now I am using url2lib for parsing the html. What are my options in completely this task?

    There is a header.php file and it contains some php codes that return HTML. I know I can use require, include to echo the results, but what I want to do is to store its processed output string into a variable. In a page, I used: $headerHTML=file_get_contents('header.php'); Then I got the PHP code output rather than the processed HTML output. I know adding http:// would help. But I prefer to keep using relative path, how can I tell the function to treat the php file correctly?
