• Changing background image of a Drupal page based on user's selection...?

  Hi I'm trying to give my users the functionality to change what the background image used on a page is. The list of background images will be a small number that won't really change. I thought I could add a few Taxonomy terms...one for each background type...then apply a class to the body tag when the page is viewed. Does this sound feasible and if so how would I go about doing it? Thanks Sam

  I'm looking to export a page that looks good in print media, to word. Can this be done automatically, or mostly automatically with office apis? The alternative is to create a program that reads all our style meta data and font meta data and convert to word and force a download. The issue is our style metadata is already built for css, its a web app after all. And writing my own css parser, doesn't sound like a good use of time.

• Joomla - output ' instead of \'

  Hello there, all of my Joomla site's contents shows apostrophes as \' instead of just '. Now my head is spinning from looking at all the million places where individual components and joomla itself does add/remove slashes and deals with magic quotes and all of this... I also found that one can rather easily write one's own OutputFilter for the patTemplate, so I thought maybe I would just do a str_replace of all \' to '. Doesn't sound right. How to deal with these apostrophes?

To make it less predictable, and more interesting, I thought that durability and hardness of an alloy can't be calculated by simple formula, because it will be extremely easy to find extrema, where alloy have best statistics. So the questions is, is there any formula for a function, where extrema can be found only by investigating all points? Input values will be in percents: 0.0%-100.0%. The problem is that before after submission a blank page is returned informing that the request is being processed, after a few seconds the page is redirected to the final page. • rails, activerecord callbacks not saving

  I have a model with a callback that runs after_update: after_update :set_state protected def set_state if self.valid? self.state = 'complete' else self.state = 'in_progress' end end But it doesn't actually save those values, why not? Regardless of if the model is valid or not it won't even write anything, even if i remove the if self.valid? condition, I can't seem to save the state. Um, this might sound dumb, do I need to run save on it?

• MPMoviePlayerController playback problem

  Hello all, I'm having trouble with playing audio stream using MPMoviePlayerController in the background. On the foreground it's playing the audio just fine, but when the application goes to the background, sound disappears and the time keeps going. I have initialized the AVAudioSession with AVAudioSessionCategoryPlayback and have put the required background modes to audio in info.plist file. Also I have set player.useApplicationAudioSession = YES;. What could be the possible problem here? Thanks in advance :)

• AVAudioPlayer lag when calling play

  I have set up an AVAudioPlayer object in viewDidLoad, as per the Apple guidelines, calling prepareToPlay as the last line in viewDidLoad (i have tried in awakeFromNib also). When i press my play button, there is a pause, as it would appear to load the file, then it plays. In audioPlayerDidFinishPlaying, i reload the player with a different sound, and when clicking play for a second time, the file plays instantly. What would cause the player to lag on the first play? • In App Purchase Resources Security.

  Hi I am setting up in app purchase where user can buy different Sounds. Once bought, he can play those sounds in the App. The Sound files are all present in my Resources Folder and I just keep a record(in a plist) of the files that have been purchased. No If I right click on the IAP file and see its content I can see the Resources, hence any one can have those sounds without actually buying them. Is there a protected Bundle or something?

I am using the activityLevel property of Microphone class but as I found out it always return -1 even if I have done Microphone.getMicrophone(). • Rails, destroy if blank

  This might sound odd, but is there a 'Rails way' to have a model destroyed if a certain attribute is blank? Say I have a model like tags with just a name attribute or something, if the user edits the tag and deletes all the text out of the name field in the form I'd like the model to just be deleted. I'm aware of the reject_if method, but that doesn't seem to work.
