During debug builds I would like to show the duration it took, server side, to generate a page in the pages footer.
So for example if a page takes 250ms server side I would like that displayed in the footer, in debug builds. How can I achieve this in an ASP.NET MVC project?

Hello,
I'm working on a ColdFusion dynamic website. For this website, there are a lot of CFCs and a lot of functions within each CFC. Would it be more efficient to store an instance of the CFC in an application variable, then to instance each CFC separately on each page load.
For each page, at most 2 separate CFCs get called. I'm also interested in how performance will be effected when requests increase (Stress).
Thanks!
I have an ASPX page that is sometimes loaded into an iFrame in my application and sometimes not. From the code behind how can you detect if your page is being loaded from an iFrame.
Hey everyone.
Let's say I have a bunch of DIVs with a class of "apple", and another bunch of DIVs with a lass of "orange".
All these DIVs have various positions, but I want to use a jQuery function to assign them new positions relative to their parent containers live on the page without any reloading.
So, for example, how do I set all DIVs with the class of "apple" to a "top" value of "200px" relative to the parent container without reloading the page?
Thanks!
I have a PDF loaded in an iPhone app using UIWebView and it displays page numbers when the pages are scrolled manually. But I've had no luck figuring out how to access those numbers and set the page displayed. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks.

Does anyone know how to check in ASP.NET (C#) if Facebook is scraping a page? I'd like to be able to check on the server side if the "browser" hitting the page is actually Facebook (e.g. when it grabs details when a user is attempting to share a link).
Hi All,
In my application I have next problem. I created master page and some content pages, some of which are located in the nested folders. In the master page I added the link to .css file
<link href="default.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
But pages are located in the nested folders can't use this .css file. How can I fix this? I want to have one .css file for all pages (:
Thanks!
Want to check that my site map contains a page.
Could just iterate through SiteMap.RootNode.GetAllNodes() but is there a way to search for a page without iterating manually?

Like the title says, I'm trying to find out if I need to include a script library that my ASP.net UserControl needs to work. I don't want to include it multiple times per page, but I want my control to be able to be used multiple times on the same page.
How can I, in the codebehind of my control, check to see if a given <script/> tag is present?
This is .Net 2.0, no LINQ.
Using JavaScript, is there a way to update window.location.hash without scrolling the web page?
I have clickable title elements that toggle the visibility of a div directly beneath them. I want the /foo#bar in the history when clicking titles but don't want the page scrolling about. So when navigating away from /foo#bar I'll be able to use the back button and have the div whose ID is in window.location.hash be visible upon return.
Is this behavior possible?
Hi. :)
Apart from the global.css i'm including in my header.php, i would also like to load certain page-content specific styles.
But since my <head></head> is already covered by my header file, and i don't wish to resort to inlines, what is the best way to place the styles on the specific page?
Thanks ! :D

My classifieds website uses mainly PHP and MySql.
On error, (for example if a variable isn't found), I would like to have an error-page to show, is this possible? And I mean for every error to point to the same error-page.
I am thinking about htaccess, but maybe there are other ways also?
Same with MySql, how is it done there?
Thanks
This happens only with Google Chrome and Safari. This is the page in question:
http://jqeedu.tuxfamily.org/pmr/
After opening the landing, click on post your apartment, a form is loaded via ajax, and the page automatically scrolls to the bottom and if you scroll up, it returns to the bottom again!
What is causing this?
With asp.NET control dropdownlist, there is a property AutoPostBack, if it is set "True", the whole page will be posted back.
If the aspx page include a html element "select" like:
and it data is filled by code-behind.
Question is: how to allow this Select have AutoPostBack function too?
I want to execute a script after the whole page has loaded, when it's complete.
The current way is:
window.onload=document.getElementById('loaded').value=1;
Which is not good, as some images are still in load, and the page has not completed loading truly. What I am doing wrong?
Is JavaScript allowed to call a remote web page during a click event?
When viewing the click in firebug, the call turns red (i.e. error) but I can't see the error because the page redirects.
So is it allowed to call a remote website (in my case, its a 1x1 image using a standard url like http://www.example.com/becon).
What if I only need to download the page if it has not changed since the last download?
What is the best way? can I get the size of the page first, then compare the decide if it has changed, if so, I ask for download else skip?
I plan to use (python) mechanize.
Is there any option available to allign the aspx page tags properly.and it should avoid empty lines in the source page.
I am spendingmy time on tags allining.
