• Why isn't the Spring AOP XML schema properly loaded when Tomcat loads & reads beans.xml

  I'm trying to use Spring's Schema Based AOP Support in Eclipse and am getting errors when trying to load the configuration in Tomcat. There are no errors in Eclipse and auto-complete works correctly for the aop namespace, however when I try to load the project into eclipse I get this error: 09:17:59,515 WARN XmlBeanDefinitionReader:47 - Ignored XML validation warning org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: schema_reference.4: Failed to read schema document 'http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop/spring-aop-2.5.xsd', because 1) could not find the document; 2) the document could not be read; 3) the root element of the document is not . Followed by: SEVERE: StandardWrapper.Throwable org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.XmlBeanDefinitionStoreException: Line 39 in XML document from /WEB-INF/beans.xml is invalid; nested exception is org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: cvc-complex-type.2.4.c: The matching wildcard is strict, but no declaration can be found for element 'aop:config'. Based on this, it seems the schema is not being read when Tomcat parses the beans.xml file, leading to the <aop:config> element not being recognised.   i am receiving the follwing error when i am invoking a custom object "Object of type 'customObject' cannot be converted to type 'customObject'." Following is the scenario when i am getting the error i am invoking a method in a dll dynamically. Load an assembly CreateInstance.... calling MethodInfo.Invoke() passing int, string as a parameter for my method is working fine = No exceptions are thrown. But if I try and pass a one of my own custom class objects as a parameter, then I get an ArgumentException exception, and it is not either an ArgumentOutOfRangeException or ArgumentNullException. "Object of type 'customObject' cannot be converted to type 'customObject'." I am doing this in a web application. The class file containing the method is in a different proj . also the custom object is a sepearte class in the same file. there is no such thing called a static aseembly in my code. I am trying to invoke a webmethod dynamically. this webmethod is having the customObject type as an input parameter. So when i invoke the webmethod i am dynamically creating the proxy assembly and all. From the same assembly i am trying to create an instance of the cusotm object assinging the values to its properties and then passing this object as a parameter and invoking the method. everything is dynamic and nothing is created static.. :( add reference is not used. • Perf4j Not Logging Correctly

  I setup some stop watch calls in my code to measure some code blocks and all the messages are going into my primary log and not into the timing log. The perfStats.log file gets created just fine but all the messages go to the root log which I didn't think was supposed to happen according to the docs I've read. • How do I stop a datagrid's first-row itemRenderer from instantiating/adding/initializing/etc twice?

  In a Flex DataGrid's first row, the itemRenderer will initialize twice. Tracing the results reveals that the flex framework is possibly creating two instances of the first row's itemRenderer. In a more complex application, where the itemRenderer contains a data-bound ColorPicker, we're seeing an infinite loop occur because of this problem. Only the first row's itemRenderer is initialized twice. Is there a way to override flex's behavior and stop this from occurring?   I'm having the problem with the WMI availability on logon. • Cannot connect to MySQL with JDBC - Connection Timeout - Ubuntu 9.04

  I am running Ubuntu and am ultimately trying to connect Tomcat to my MySQL database using JDBC. It has worked previously but after a reboot the instance now fails to connect. Both Tomcat 6 and MySQL 5.0.75 are on the same machine Connection string: jdbc:mysql:///localhost:3306 I can connect to MySQL on the command line using the mysql command The my.cnf file is pretty standard (Available on request) has bind address: 127.0.0.1 I cannot Telnet to the MySQL port despite netstat saying MySQL is listening I have one IpTables rule to forward 80 - 8080 and no firewall I'm aware of. I'm pretty new to this and I'm not sure what else to test. I don't know whether I should be looking in etc/interfaces and if I did what to look for. It's weird because it used to work but after a reboot it's down so I must have changed something.... :). I realise a timeout indicates the server is not responding and I assume it's because the request isn't actually getting through. I installed MySQL via apt-get and Tomcat manually. • DTGridView losing content while scrolling

  I am using DTGridView from the DTKit by Daniel Tull. I implemented it in a very simple ViewController and the test I am doing is to place a button in the last row of the grid, which should add another row to the grid (and therefor moving the button to a row beneath it). The problem is, when I click the button a couple of times and then start scrolling, the grid seems to lose its content. As I am not completly sure this is a bug in the grid, but more in my code, I hope you guys can help me out and track down the bug. The grid is filled with as many rows as my int 'rows' ( +1 ) has. The last row does NOT contain 3 columns, but just one. That cell contains a button which (when pressed) adds 1 to the 'rows' integer. The problem starts, when it starts reusing cells (I am guessing) and content start disappearing. When I scroll back up, the UILabels I am putting in the cells are gone. Is there some bug, code error, mistake, dumb-ass-move I am missing here? Hope anyone can help.

• Implementing ZBar QR Code Reader in UIView

  I really need help here. I'm pretty new to iOS/Objective-C so sorry if the problem resolution is obvious or if my code is terrible. Be easy on me!! :-) I'm struggling to integrate ZBarSDK for reading QR Codes into an iPad app i'm building. If I use ZBarReaderController (of which there are plenty of tutorials and guides on implementing), it works fine. However I want to make the camera come up in a UIView as opposed to the fullscreen camera. Now I have gotten as far as making the camera view (readerView) come up in the UIView (ZBarReaderView) as expected, but I get an error when it scans a code. The error does not come up until a code is scanned making me believe this is either delegate related or something else. • Why doesn't my implementation of ElGamal work for long text strings?

  I'm playing with the El Gamal cryptosystem, and my goal is to be able to encipher and decipher long sequences of text. I have come up with a method that works for short sequences, but does not work for long sequences, and I cannot figure out why. El Gamal requires the plaintext to be an integer. I have turned my string into a byte[] using the .getBytes() method for Strings, and then created a BigInteger out of the byte[]. After encryption/decryption, I turn the BigInteger into a byte[] using the .toByteArray() method for BigIntegers, and then create a new String object from the byte[]. This works perfectly when i call ElGamalEncipher with strings up to 129 characters. With 130 or more characters, the output produced from ElGamalDecipher is garbled. Can someone suggest how to solve this issue? Is this an issue with my method of turning the string into a BigInteger? If so, is there a better way to turn my string of text into a BigInteger and back? • Java: how to do fast copy of a BufferedImage's pixels? (include unit test)

  I want to do a copy (of a rectangle area) of the ARGB values from a source BufferedImage into a destination BufferedImage. No compositing should be done: if I copy a pixel with an ARGB value of 0x8000BE50 (alpha value at 128), then the destination pixel must be exactly 0x8000BE50, totally overriding the destination pixel. I've got a very precise question and I made a unit test to show what I need. The unit test is fully functional and self-contained and is passing fine and is doing precisely what I want. However, I want a faster and more memory efficient method to replace copySrcIntoDstAt(...). That's the whole point of my question: I'm not after how to "fill" the image in a faster way (what I did is just an example to have a unit test). All I want is to know what would be a fast and memory efficient way to do it (ie fast and not creating needless objects). The proof-of-concept implementation I've made is obviously very memory efficient, but it is slow (doing one getRGB and one setRGB for every pixel). • NSUserDefaults loses 3 rows each time it's called

  Hello Everyone! Brand new programmer here, so off-topic help/constructive criticism welcome. I am saving a default state (such as "New York") in a UIPickerView which is in a FlipSideView. It certainly saves for the first and second time I check to make sure it's the same state (I am clicking "done" and then "info" repeatedly), but on the third check the picker has moved up three states (to "New Hampshire") and then every time I check the picker progresses three more states. • Reinitialize the current month name, when i click button

  Hi,In my richCalendar.jsp page, first time i click the showCurrentMonth button and display the current month using rich:calendar. i select some other month i click SelectedMonth button. I show the selected month name. My problem is : I go to any other page. then i come visit the richCalendar.jsp and again click showCurrentMonth button, this time the rich:calendar show the already selected month instead of current month . • JOptionPane opening another JFrame

  So I'm continuing my fight with this : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2923545/creating-java-dialogs/2926126 task. Now my JOptionPane opens new window with envelope overfiew, but I can't change size of this window. Also I wanted to have sender's data in upper left corner, and receiver's data in bottom right. How can I achieve that ? There is also issue with OptionPane itself. After I click 'OK' it opens small window in the upper left corner of the screen. What is this and why it's appearing ? • DTGridView losting content while scrolling

  I am using DTGridView from the DTKit by Daniel Tull. I implemented it in a very simple ViewController and the test I am doing is to place a button in the last row of the grid, which should add another row to the grid (and therefor moving the button to a row beneath it). The problem is, when I click the button a couple of times and then start scrolling, the grid seems to lose its content. As I am not completly sure this is a bug in the grid, but more in my code, I hope you guys can help me out and track down the bug. The grid is filled with as many rows as my int 'rows' ( +1 ) has. The last row does NOT contain 3 columns, but just one. That cell contains a button which (when pressed) adds 1 to the 'rows' integer. The problem starts, when it starts reusing cells (I am guessing) and content start disappearing. When I scroll back up, the UILabels I am putting in the cells are gone. Is there some bug, code error, mistake, dumb-ass-move I am missing here? Hope anyone can help.
