    This was added to the page later with jQuery: <input name="pdfRadio" id="pdfRadioNo0" value="0" type="radio"> This code: radio_id = "pdfRadioNo0" ie.radio(:id, radio_id).set() does not set it but returns an error message: Watir::Exception::UnknownObjectException: Unable to locate element, using {:id=>"pdfRadioNo0"} Does watir also find radio butons that were added later? This is windows 32bit XP SP 3 , IE 7, watir 1.6.5, ruby 1.8.6

  • Jqyery Bugs?? Long decimal number after two numbers multiply...

    Hi all I am working on a shopping site and I am trying to calculate the subtotal of products. I got my price from a array and quantity from getJSON response array. Two of them multiply comes to my subtotal. I can change the quantity and it will comes out different subtotal. However,when I change the quantity to certain number, the final subtotal is like 259.99999999994 or some long decimal number. I use console.log to check the $price and $qty. Both of them are in the correct format ex..299.99 and 6 quantity.I have no idea what happen. I would appreciate it if someone can help me about it.   • a4j:commandButton causes full page reload on IE7

    Our process allows users to activate their account, and then configure e-mail preferences. We're using the tag: <a4j:commandButton id="activate" action="#{controller.agreeAction}" image="/img/ok.png" styleClass="activate-button" reRender="mainContent, sideBar" oncomplete="showEmailDialog();" /> This works fine on Firefox, but on IE, the showEmaiDialog() fires off to display the new dialog, and then the full page reloads, which instantly hides it again. I put in numerous alert() calls to make sure of what was happening. I see the e-mail dialog until I clear the final alert box in in the showEmailDialog() script, and then I see the alerts that I put into jQuery(document).ready(). Why does IE do a full page reload instead of just refreshing the requested sections?

    Hello, i have this little script, which should ping the IPs in the host_to_ping array. This php is called with JS in the index.html. But somethin' wrong, 'coz the $rval is always 1 (which mean the host is unreachable). But i know that the first two host is alive. So i print the $res variable, and i see the message: Need to give the IP.   • jquery load returns empty, possible MVC 2 problem?

    I have a site that need to get some data from a different sit that is using asp.net MVC/ The data to get loaded is from these pages: http://charity.hondaclassic.com/home/totaldonations http://charity.hondaclassic.com/Home/CharityList This should be a no brainer but for some reason I get an empty response, here is my JS: <script> jQuery.noConflict(); jQuery(document).ready(function($){ $('.totalDonations').load('http://charity.hondaclassic.com/home/totaldonations'); $('#charityList').load('http://charity.hondaclassic.com/home/CharityList'); }); </script> in firebug I see the request is made and come back with a response of 200 OK but the response is empty, if you browse to these pages they work fine! What the heck?   • Seperate html pages for each screen in Jquery mobile

    I am newbie to Jquery Mobile, so far what ever examples i searched contains only one html page for whole application, with multipe div tags where each page/screen is defined as div tag with data-role as page with some header and footers optionally. Based on user actions, we are hiding some div's(pages) and showing only expected page. Also, this multi-page template seems to be standard design, as written by some blogs. Are there any other designing ways? what I would like to have is multipe html pages, for ex one for login, one for home, one for contact etc. Other wise it is difficult to understand/code/debug issues, especially people from Java background like me.So, what I want is some kind of MVC design with JQueryMobile, like each view/screen as sepearate html associated with one js (Controller). Can we have multiple html pages in JqueryMobile app? If possible how to pass data/ maintain session between them? Any samples are most welcome. Thanks In Advance. Note: Also I don't want server side includes, may app contains 10 to 15 screens, each page will make a webservice call and fetch some data and map it to UI.

Here is what I want to do: I have a class DataRetriever The class has a method GetData GetData makes a jsonp request with the following code: var new_tag = document.createElement('script'); new_tag.type = 'text/javascript'; new_tag.src = 'http://somesite.com/somemethod?somedata'; // Add the element var bodyRef = document.getElementsByTagName("body").item(0); bodyRef.appendChild(new_tag); Now, the jsonp data from the server somesite.com can call a function in my code with the data. The problem is, how does the data get delivered to the instance of DataRetriever that requested it? I'm really stuck here.

This has nothing to do with load time... no matter how long I wait, the menu does not work.     I want to submit form and show message about result. update_records initializes alert_message to error message. If success I expect that its value is changed. Than update_records outputs message. But the function always alerts "Error submitting form". What is wrong with this?     After reading this post on Stackoverflow Google plus popup box when hovering over thumbnail? I was inspirted to add it on my site. I managed to do so and the script adds the contacts to my database. So far awesome! However, my problem (and also appears in the example) is it does not display the "checked" value... so the user will never know if they already added them to their list or not. Is the correct way to display checked values with PHP?   • Preserve whitespace and formatting for text returned from $.get jquery call

    I have a jquery $.get() call in my app that requests an entire web page. In the callback function, I access a div in the returned page, get its data and show it on my page. The problem is that the text I get from the div does not preserve the source formatting. If the div in the requested page had say an ordered list, then when i get that text and display on my page, it shows up as a paragraph with items inline instead of being shown as a list.   • JSF - Creating an overlay for popup panels.

    Hi, I've created an overlay that will popup whenever someone wants to upload a file to the system. The Gui looks like this (when the overlay is up) I have two problems with this: I attached a a4j:support object that, onclick, makes the overlay disappear. The problem with this is that when I click the upload button on the upload component, support catches the click event and closes the overlay with the upload component before I have the chance to finish the operation. I chose two different style classes. One for the overlay and one for the upload panel. But the styling of the overlay takes over the upload component and it becomes transparent as well.     I'm following the tuitions on XMLHttpRequest 2 from : https://developer.mozilla.org/en/DOM/XMLHttpRequest/Sending_and_Receiving_Binary_Data and http://www.html5rocks.com/en/tutorials/file/xhr2/#toc-send-arraybuffer They're great tutorials for the client side, and here is a working extract from my script: var imagebuffer = new ArrayBuffer(size); // create the readonly memory buffer var imagedata= new Uint8Array(imagebuffer); // create a view to manipulate data // do some cool stuff with imagedata var exchange=new XMLHttpRequest(); exchange.open("POST",url,true); exchange.send(arraybuffer); So far so good, and I can see from the both client and server control panels that plenty of data is being transferred. Here's my problem: how do I access the ArrayBuffer with PHP at the server? I'm used to the $_POST superglobal wanting parameters passing from a HTML form so it can be accessed as an array but I can't find any reference for how to access this binary array and stick it in my MySQL database.
