• Clickone + .net client profile framework + sql compact + offline installation

  am having issues with prerequisites while trying to publish my windows .net 3.5 application using clickonce. I am wanting my application to work offline as well as online, so I want to include the prerequisites in the installation and not make client download them via the internet. My prerequisites are: .Net Framework Client Profile SQL Compact 3.5 I have downloaded the .Net Framework Client Profile Offline Installer. Installed it and put the DotNetFx35Client.exe in this location: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bootstrapper\Packages\DotNetFx35Client Under the Project - Publish Tab I have checked the "Download prerequisites from the following location" and entered \MachineName\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bootstrapper\Packages\DotNetFx35Client Following http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1046370?tab=oldest#tab-top I am however still the error: The install location for prerequisites has not been set to 'component vendo's website' file Dotnetfx35client\Dotnetfx35clientSteup.exe' in item .net framework client profile can not be located on disk.

• Updating Activity UI from Different Activity Method?

  I have a tab widget where one of the tabs is a chat-type feature. I want to update the chat data at an interval (variable depending on whether the chat tab is active or not). The best approach seemed to be using an AsyncTask in my main TabActivity class, as that would avoid any issues of the chat activity being destroyed while in the background, while an AsyncTask was running. I wanted to ensure that the Activity isn't destroyed and recreated, thus causing my AsyncTask to be unable to modify the actual active Activity's data. However, now that my AsyncTask is in the TabActivity activity, I don't have a direct way to call my Chat's ListAdapter notifyDataSetChanged() from my onPostExecute() method anymore. Is there a way to get a reference to a given Tab's current Activity from the TabHost/TabActivity? Or, alternatively, can I assume my chat activity will never be destroyed as a child activity of the TabActivity activity (well, never destroyed while the TabActivity is active at least), and then just put the AsyncTask in the Chat Activity?

• Other class view cannot be loaded into TabBar Controller

  Hi, I am making a project with 3 child views that are switched by a TabBar. What I did Create a project (Window-Based) Add 3 child classes (Window-Based too) Add a Tab Bar Controller to MainWindow.xib For each view under Tab Bar Controller, the 'Class', 'Name', 'Title' and 'NIB Name' are all set to connect to the corresponding class Add @class, IBOutlet are done in AppDelegate.h and AppDelegate.m In didFinishLaunchingWithOptions, I called [window addSubView: tabBarController.view]; Save and Run -- Tab Bar with 3 items can be seen But ... the 3 child views ARE NOT LOADED and SHOWN ... :( Anything that I missed ? • Opening a new screen from xml file text.

  Hey all I'm looking to edit my app so that when a text within an xml file is selected, a new window opens. I've found various ways of making a new screen open via a class, but I need it done from a xml file. My program as a tablayout, and here is some of the stuff displayed within my first tab: <LinearLayout android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> android:id="@+id/ScrollView01" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_width="fill_parent" <TextView android:textColor="#FFFFFF" android:text="First Header here" android:textStyle="bold" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" /> <TextView android:textColor="#FFFFFF" android:text="First body text here" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" /> So basically I need it so that when a text is selected, a new screen pops up. As said the reason this specifically has to be done in xml is because this is all apart of a tab layout, It would be great if the next within each tab could open a a new screen. Thanks.

• Is it okay if my ViewModel 'creates' bindable user controls for my View?

  I have an entry-point View with a tab control. Each tab is going to have a user control embedded within it. Each embedded view inherits from the same base class and will need to be updated as a key field on the entry-point view is updated. I'm thinking the easiest way to design this page is to have the entry-point ViewModel create and expose a collection of the tabbed views so the entry-point View can just bind to the user control elements using a DataTemplate on the tab control. Is it okay for a ViewModel to instantiate and provide UI elements for its View?

• SQL 2008 Select Top 1000 and update the selected database drop-down

  When you right click and do a Select top 1000 rows from a table in sql 2008, it opens a tab and writes the sql and then executes it. This is okay, however I'll erase the sql and use the same tab often to do other sql statements. What annoys me is that I have to go to the database drop-down at the top of the window and change it to the current database I'm in because it says Master. How can I make sql 2008 update the selected database for this tab automatically when I right click a table and do select top 1000? On a side note, can I automatically hide the select statement that it generates and just show grid of results?

• Customizing TabWidget in SDK 1.5, API 3

  I'm aware that API 3 doesn't allow a view to be set for a tab, but I still need to modify the TextView displayed as the indicator. I'd also like to change the Drawable for the tab, but I don't see a way to do it without a custom tab view as allowed in 1.6, API 4. Working with this generic example below, is there way to retrieve the TextView and modify its properties or change the drawable? • Can I access an iframe of the same domain in a separate window?

  How can I detect the presence of and then call a function on a frame that is already loaded in one tab (my iframed facebook app) from a page being loaded in a new tab (from an ad-served link). It seems most examples focus on parent/child iframe communication. In this case, a link will be served from Google Ad Manager, which only allows _top or _blank to be targeted. I want to pass an id through the ad click into the new page/tab on my domain and then JS call over to the frame my app is in to switch state. Both frames are on my domain but not in the same document or window. Is this possible?

• UITableView cellForRowAtIndexPath occasionally not called?

  I'm developing a graphing application that on the main navigation/tab view displays a UIView that renders a graph using openGL. Beneath that view is a UITableView that displays the list of elements on the graph, and an add button. Occasionally, when the user clicks on another tab, and then returns to the graph view tab, the table view does not get redrawn. I have a [tableView reloadData] method being called in the navigation controllers' (also the table view's delegate and data source) viewDidAppear method. numberOfSectionsInTableView and numberOfRowsInSection get called, but cellForRowAtIndexPath does not despite both latter methods returning positive values. This is an intermittant problem, only happening some of the time, but it's not clear what (if anything) influences this. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have to add another tab to the existing sheet and that tab should contain the macro run in the first tab. All these things should be automated.   I'm trying to build a web browser using PyGTK and PyWebKit However, I'm pretty sure my question only concerns PyGTK I have a custom gtk.Notebook class, with an "add tab" button as the last tab. When I click it, it gives me the error /home/ruiqimao/workspace/PyBrowser/src/browser/__init__.py:161: GtkWarning: IA__gdk_window_get_cursor: assertion `GDK_IS_WINDOW (window)' failed gtk.main() twice. And then, my new tab won't show up. I have no idea what is going on, so here is my whole code If any of you could help me, that would be great! Thanks! [EDIT]: Just found out that the problem lies in the w.show_all() line What could this mean?

  I have this situation: There are a login page with a login form (form action is $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']). When user login, it will check what application the user can access and open all the application that available for that user in new tab. If user can access application (for example) 'Docs' and 'Sites', it will open 2 tabs. I Open new tab using window.open('app1.html','_newhtml');, some people say that it only works in Firefox. It's OK, no big deal for me. The problem is, It only open 1 tab, although I write it 2 times window.open('app1.html','_newhtml'); window.open('app2.html','_newhtml'); How can I open 2 tabs? are there any hacks from server side or client side programming?

  Hello Experts, I have a tabcontrol and I place datagrid inside a tabcontrol... But I could not focus that Datagrid at the load event ... Focus means I couldn't navigate through keyboard into it... • css override not working?

  I have three tabs that change styles when clicked. class="active" gives the tab the same background as the tab content, while class="inactive" has another color. My problem is the text on the tabs, something's weird with the CSS. The default state of class="active" looks as it should, while the inactive tabs are underlined even though my CSS says text-decoration: none !important; and the clicked active tab text becomes extra bold (or maybe it's a shadow).   In my tabbar application I am adding Navigation controller in each tab. Suppose the selected index is 0 when I opening the app.In my 3rd tab(selected index=2) I want to change the text colour of navigationbar title.And I am using the code [[UINavigationBar appearance] setTitleTextAttributes: [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys: [UIColor greenColor],UITextAttributeTextColor,nil]]; But its not changing the text color of Index 0 and 2.Colour of index 1 will change only if that tab was not clicked before changing the colour by using the above code. I don't know whats is the issue ? Any help/code will be appreciable.

  Hello CocoaTouch-Experts! This is a fairly straightforward question though my Googling session gave me nothing. How do I reset the state of a view hierarchy located in a tabbar programmatically? The behavior I want to replicate is when the user tapps on a tab twice. This causes the view located under that tab to return to it's initial state. The tab is "owned" by a UINavigationController and when the user reaches a certain point in the view hierarchy there is a button which I want to connect this behavior to. All my attempts have failed except calling on a method in AppDelegate which kills the view and adds it back to the UITabBarController again. But this does not feel like the right way to go. Unfortunately, Visual Studio's 'smart tabs' option in text editor settings just indents text on enter press. Same name, completely different and near useless thing :). So, maybe someone knows of a visual studio addin that can change how 'tab' key work so it will insert tab characters and space characters according to rules mentioned above? Any hints are welcome. Update: I need it for C++. According to comments, ReSharper can do something like this, but only for Basic and C#.

  I'm using jquery ui tabs widget. I've not used a jquery theme as i prefer to do my own css and stuff. I've got it working, but what i'd like is to have a different animation effect for the tab content when a different tab is clicked. What i'd like is for the new tab content to slide in from the left. At the moment i have: $("#tabs").tabs({ fx: {slide: 'slow' } }); }); I know the code above is just slide and not slide left but it doesn't even do a slide! I have downloaded the slide effects as part of my custom ui download. I don't know why it isn't working! Is it some css that i'm lacking?! I don't know!!!

  I am getting the java.lang.NullPointerException on createTabContent for the following code. There are two tabspecs. When I called and set the tab , changed the tabs for the first time it is ok. But when i called again while I am on the second tab, its hit the null pointer exception for line : NoStudentText.setVisibility(View.VISIBLE); I will show No Student Text if there is no data for the student list. It shows the text for the first time call. • How can I modify command line in Ubuntu 10.04?

  I am using a vpn service from certain server. I was given with a root account, and when I connect with a root account, the command line looks like below. root@xa9g82:/etc/# Then I used useradd to add an account called 'temp' When I connected to the server with temp, then the command line only has a single character. $ The user information is not shown, neither the path. Also, note that, in root's command line I can use tab to automatically complete the filename, however 'temp's command line inserts tab space, when I press tab. It is very inconvenient. I am using Ubuntu 10.04. How can I resolve this issue?

But on subsequent clicks the window/tab is loaded but remains hidden.
