  My project is in early development. I frequently delete the database and run manage.py syncdb to set up my app from scratch. Unfortunately, this always pops up: You just installed Django's auth system, which means you don't have any superusers defined. Would you like to create one now? (yes/no): Then you have supply a username, valid email adress and password. This is tedious. I'm getting tired of typing test\[email protected]\ntest\ntest\n. How can I automatically skip this step and create a user programatically when running manage.py syncdb ?

  Hello guys; I have a conceptual question... I am making an Intranet application (Web platform) for a company. I have a SQL Server DB with these tables: Users (userID, userName, userPass, roleID) Roles (roleID, roleName) Pages (pageID, pageURL) RolesXPages(pageID, roleID) How is the best way to create a structure to store all this information while the user navigates the site, I mean, on the thread I should be able to check his role, his pages (the ones he can access) I have been reading and there is a lot of stuff there where Im confused, I saw the MembershipProvider, IPrincipal, IIdentity, etc classes but Im not sure what should be the best one for me. Any thoughts... Thanks in advance! Edit: Everytime gets more confusing... I just want to handle those structures at runtime and be able to mantain state during page callbacks or changing pages...

• Use HttpGet with illegal characters in the URL

  I am trying to use DefaultHttpClient and HttpGet to make a request to a web service. Unfortunately the web service URL contains illegal characters such as { (ex: domain.com/service/{username}). It's obvious that the web service naming isn't well written but I can't change it. When I do HttpGet(url), I get that I have an illegal character in the url (that is { and }). If I encode the URL before that, there is no error but the request goes to a different URL where there is nothing. The url, although has illegal characters, works from the browser but the HttpGet implementation doesn't let me use it. What should I do or use instead to avoid this problem?

• How to make screenshots using VMWare tool "vmrun"?

  Hi everybody! I'm currently working with the vmrun-Tool, to control VMWare Virtual Machines. I'm using VMWareWorkstation 7.0.0/7.0.1 and VMWarePlayer 3.0.0 on Windows 7 x64. I simply want to take a screenshot of each virtual machine which is powered on. Listing the power-on virtual machines is quite simply and works! (vmrun list) But the captureScreen command doesn't work. I have tryed serveral commandline options. for example: vmrun -T ws captureScreen %VMPATH% %OUTPUTPATH% I get no error message, but the console is blocked (and the command never finishes). I have also tryed to include -gu USERNAME and -gp PASSWORD, but it result in the same problem. Sorry for my English and thanks for your help in advance!!!

  Hello all, I am having problems with the PHP function unlink. I keep getting this error: Warning: unlink(C:\wamp\www\webs\db\db_1276259188.mdb) [function.unlink]: Permission denied in C:\wamp\www\webs\pure-php-export.php on line 242 I am on a windows machine where Apache runs as the user SYSTEM. I have set the permissions of the db folder as "Full Control" for Apache's user. I thought my script might still be holding on to that file (its an uploaded file that gets used via PDO). try{ $dbh = new PDO("odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb, *.accdb)};Dbq=$mdbFilename", $username, $password); }catch(PDOException $e){ echo $e->getMessage(); } So before I attempt to delete the file I unset the above and try to delete like so: $dbh = null; unset($dbh); if(is_file($mdbFilename)){ unlink($mdbFilename); } I really appreciate any help on this as it has been driving me mental for the past two hours!   I am trying to write a program that monitors an IMAP mailbox and automatically copies every new incoming message into an "Archive" folder. I'm using imaplib2 which implements the IDLE command. But the response from recent() doesn't make sense to me, and after the first message I never get any other notifications. Anyone know how to do this?

• Powershell 2.0 Hang When Run From MsDeploy pre- post- ops using c/

  I am trying to invoke powershell during the preSync call in a MSDeploy command, but powershell does not exit the process after it has been called. The command (from command line): "tools/MSDeploy/msdeploy.exe" -verb:sync -preSync:runCommand="powershell.exe -NoLogo -NoProfile -NonInteractive -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command C:/MyInstallPath/deploy.ps1 Set-WebAppOffline Uninstall-Service ",waitInterval=60000 -usechecksum -source:dirPath="build/for-deployment" -dest:wmsvc=BLUEPRINT-X86,username=deployer,password=deployer,dirPath=C:/MyInstallPath I used a hack here (http://therightstuff.de/2010/02/06/How-We-Practice-Continuous-Integration-And-Deployment-With-MSDeploy.aspx) that gets the powershell process and kills it but that didn't work. I also tried taskkill and the sysinternals equivalent, but nothing will kill the process so that MSDeploy errors out. The command is executed, but then just sits there. Any ideas what might be causing powershell to hang like this? I have found a few other similar issues around the web but no answers.

• Cloning a read-write github repository using TortoiseHg

  I'm trying to clone my personal fork on github using the git+ssh protocol with TortoiseHg. It's giving me a rather strange error. Here is the command hg clone git+ssh//[email protected]:myusername/thefork.git This is after I have installed the hg-git module and it works just fine to clone using the git:// syntax. But I believe it's having trouble with the ssh. The error I'm getting is this. importing Hg objects into Git [Error 2] The system cannot find the file specified I have tried adding manually the ssh command into the mercurial.ini file like this [ui] username = [email protected] ssh="C:\Program Files\TortoiseHg\TortoisePlink.exe" -ssh -2 -i "C:\Source\SSHPrivateKey.ppk" But I still get the same error. I'm trying to prevent a user logging in twice. • Using a database class in my user class

  In my project I have a database class that I use to handle all the MySQL stuff. It connects to a database, runs queries, catches errors and closes the connection. Now I need to create a members area on my site, and I was going to build a users class that would handle registration, logging in, password/username changes/resets and logging out. In this users class I need to use MySQL for obvious reasons... which is what my database class was made for. But I'm confused as to how I would use my database class in my users class. Would I want to create a new database object for my user class and then have it close whenever a method in that class is finished? Or do I somehow make a 'global' database class that can be used throughout my entire script (if this is the case I need help with that, no idea what to do there.) • Do passwords used for .htaccess need to be encrypted?

  I am using .htaccess files to control access to various Apache2 directories. I have a main "password" file that contains usernames and passwords. All the instructions I have found regarding .htaccess talk about how the passwords added are encrypted. The usernames and passwords are created using the following command line syntax ... htpasswd -nb username password What I am wondering is ... do the passwords always need to be encrypted? Could I store usernames and passwords in a plain-text form someonewhere on the system (above the web root)? This would allow me to easily edit user names and passwords via FTP without requiring access to the Shelll (which I do not always have). Thank you.

• Cisco VPN Client Behind ASA 5505

  I'm trying to get connected to another ASA via Cisco VPN Client. I am behind an ASA 5505 myself and I am tryihng to VPN to a 5510. I get the message: Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client. Reason 412: The remote peer is no longer responding. I can connect to the other ASA if I use a normal cheap Linksys. • MOSS 2007 BDC Profile Import fails for a few users

  We have set up a BDC Profile Import for Sharepoint 2007 and it works well for 99% of the users. A handful fails with the "Exception occured when calling into BIL connector for import from non master data source" message in the crawl log, though The ULS logs reveal the following information: Exception Profile Import: Exception occured when importing user: '[redacted]\[redacted]'. Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.PropertyInvalidValueException: Invalid Property Value: Could not find SID corresponding to input account name I have confirmed that the user has a sharepoint profile matching the username is a valid domain user exists in AD Can anyone help med troubleshoot this?

• ValidateCredentials() returns FALSE on First Call but TRUE on Subsequent Calls

  I'm using the following code to authenticate users on my web service: using (PrincipalContext context = new PrincipalContext(ContextType.Domain, domain)) { return context.ValidateCredentials(userName, password); } The obstacle I'm running into is that the first call to ValidateCredentials() is returning false but subsequent calls return true. I placed a breakpoint at this line and in the Intermediate window I see the same results: first call returns false, second returns true, even though nothing was changed (by me) between calls. The 'domain' is String.Empty but I've also tried it with the actual domain name and get the same results. I'm not that versed in network administration so any help would be appreciated,
