  • How to maintain status of gridview checkbox

    Hi, On my form on left side i have tree-view with check-boxes and on right side grid-view with check-box column. Treeview shows all folders. if user clicked on treenode their files all displayed in gridview. If user checked some files and selects another node and return back it should display checked files as it is. How do i maintain grid-view checked-box column status..? One more query If i checked specific node it should checked all rows of a gridview. Thanks. I am using VS-2008 2.0

    I am building a ruby on rails project. it is a portal. I have a situation as follows: the user browses around. Suddenly he gets a doubt. I want to keep a small text box and a button that says "call me". To clarify the doubt the user can enter his phone number in the "call me" box. now the back office personnel should get an alert or a notification about this. I tried implementing juggernaut, but became a nightmare since the site is in a shared host and i couldn't configure the port. Kindly suggest a solution.

  • Submit jQuery UI dialog on <Enter>

    I have a jQuery UI dialog box with a form. I would like to simulate a click on one of the dialog's buttons so you don't have to use the mouse or tab over to it. In other words, I want it to act like a regular GUI dialog box where simulates hitting the "OK" button. I assume this might be a simple option with the dialog, but I can't find it in the jQuery UI documentation. I could bind each form input with keyup() but didn't know if there was a simpler/cleaner way. Thanks.

  • Can I pass a string variable into an <a href> tag for a website link?

    I am somewhat new to web developing, so I am trying to learn along the way. I have a div that is 500 x 500. Inside of that div I have two divs that are each 250x500. So my outer div is filled up with the two inner divs. I have it setup so that when I click on the first div (the left one) a java script is called, and a prompt pop up box asks for a website URL which is then stored inside of a string variable. How can I make it so that the second div (the right one) takes the string variable from the alert box from the left div and puts it into an a href tag so that I can link to the website from the right div? Can a a href tag accept a value from a variable for its link? Maybe I am going about this all wrong, is there a better way I should be approaching this? Any help is appreciated!!

  • Problems with createImage(int width, int height)

(java.awt.GraphicsEnvironment) dbImage = createImage(PWIDTH, PHEIGHT); if(dbImage == null) { System.out.println("dbImage is null"); //Error recieved return; } else dbg = dbImage.getGraphics(); } //clear the background dbg.setColor(Color.white); dbg.fillRect(0, 0, PWIDTH, PHEIGHT); //draw game elements... if(gameOver) { gameOverMessage(dbg); } } The problem is that it enters the if statement which checks for the Image being null, even after I attempt to define the image. I looked around, and it seems that createImage() will return null if GraphicsEnvironment.isHeadless() returns true. I don't understand exactly what the isHeadless() method's purpose is, but I thought it might have something to do with the compiler or IDE, so I tried on two, both of which get the same error (Eclipse, and BlueJ). Anyone have any idea what the source of the error is, and how I might fix it? Thanks in advance Jonathan ................................................................... The purpose of this method is to ensure the creation of, and edit an Image that will contain the view of the player of the game, that will later be drawn to the screen by means of a JPanel.   • Django - raw_id_fields title not refreshing.

    Hi, I am currently having an issue when using the raw_id_field within admin.py in my Django project. My site's admin area has a number of image upload fields for various different model pages which are all ForeignKey fields to an Image model where all images for the site are stored. As the site will eventually be dealing with a large quantity of images (100s, maybe 1000s) the default select box would be unusable. I created various admin.ModelAdmin classes e.g class InfoSlideAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin): raw_id_fields=('image',) These change the image selector within my Edit pages from a Select Box to a Raw ID Field. However when I select a different image using this control although the ID of the new image is shown the title from the previous image still displays. Any ideas?

  • Creating an n tiered application

    I am researching architecture for a project that will be started next year. It is mainly a c# web app, but there will be a service layer so that it can talk to our facebook/iphone app. There are a few long running processes, which means that I will be creating a windows process that can handle those. I’m thinking of putting the entire app in the windows service instead of just the long running processes. Asp - wcf - bll Vs Asp - bll I know this will be more scalable. But it is probably overkill as everything will be running on the same box, even the database. This could change down the road if the server can’t handle the traffic like marketing says it will. I don’t have access to production hardware, just my crappy testing box and my local machine. Has anyone decided to go down this route? But mostly, what is the best way to test both methods to get some metrics?

Unlike other application i cannot run service exe file, so I had to first installed service using ServiceInstaller in my service project. Now i am building setup project for my service (MSI). In that setup project I am trying to add the output from my service project to my setup project by follwing below step 1. Right Click **Setup roject** in solution explorer and then click add and then click project output. 2.Now it open up *project output group dialog box* but now problem is this dialog box is empty and not allowing me to select service project. Now i dont know how to add the service projet to my setup project any help would be appriciated. Thank you guys.

  • Why is rails setting ":null => false" on all my columns in schema.rb?

    Even if I never specify :null => false in my migrations that initially add columns to tables, rails still generates code in schema.rb that specifies the columns as having :null => false. Why is this? If I develop on my box, and then use rake db:schema:load on my production box, I'm going to get very different behavior! Edit: Even if I delete schema.rb and run rake db:schema:dump, it still puts :null => false on the new schema even if it isn't defined like that in the actual database. It seems it can't tell whether or not a column is marked as allowing nulls. I'm using SQLite if that helps.

  • Get Category in Wordpress Post

    OK I have a standard post here: http://www.ticketyoda.co.uk/concerts/rihanna-tickets/rihanna-tickets-manchester-2013-06-12-united-kingdom/970 I am trying to make each post unique and contain the category information for both the city (Manchester) and the Artist (Rihanna). At the moment the box underneath the venue contains the information taken from the category (see breadcrumb). So I have 1 out of 2. What I need now is for an extra box below to show the category information for the Artist. I use : <?php $category = get_the_category(); echo $category[0]->category_description; ?> to get the first category. As things stand, i get both whats in the designer and in formload in the comboboxes. How can i stop this? I also have an edit function, so when i edit a record, i want the combo box to be populated by what is already saved. Just a random question, can you stop the user entering a value that isn't in the combo box? Thankyou

  • Differences between Ruby on Rails versions? Which should I use?

    I first used Rails when it was not so well known about, in 2005. I did some experimental work with it but it has languished due to lack of time. I'm now thinking of persuing the original idea again (with a new implementation) and when researching the latest Ruby and Ruby-on_Rails versions I see Ruby 1.9.2 and a Rails 3.0 beta. I haven't managed to find a concise description of the differences between any of the Rails major versions. I have looked on the official Rails site and a few others as well. No joy. Maybe i'm looking in the wrong places or for the wrong thing? My project isn't commercial in nature (it's a hobby thing) so the beta nature of Rails 3.0 doesn't put me off. I'd just like to know what the differences are. Can anyone explain please? If it makes any odds to the answer, I'll be working on a Linux box and/or a Windows box.

I use the following code to disable: $("#cal").datePicker('disable'); It blacks out the text box but the image is still clickable. The problem is in IE, the date picker pop up comes up but does not close when the image button associated with the date picker is clicked. I also tried to bind a onclick function with the image to make it non-clickable. But that does not work as well. How can make the date picker image button non-clickable when the date picker is disabled. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Farzana

  • Spring mvc: controller returns [][], usable in jsp with foreach, but how to bind?

    I'm building a spring mvc application. Now the problem I have is the following. I have a controller which adds a DayInfo[][] to my ModelMap. (DayInfo has an id, a title (String) and Text(also String). Now the problem I have is that I have no problem displaying this DayInfo[][] with foreach tags in my jsp. However I'm outputting the Title property as an input box(type text), and I'd like to be able to update this value (and thus saving it to be a database but that shouldn't be a problem). However I'm having trouble with binding this value to the input box so that it is actually returned to the controller. If anyone has some advice it would be welcome.

But the same code without the pdf filename i.e var newwin=window.open("","Window1","menubar=no,width=430,height=360,toolbar=no"); opens up the popup window and show the print dialog box. Can anybody provide me a solution to this

  • Image input onclick event being fired when enter button Pressed

    I have a strange problem where an onclick event on an input image is being fired when i hit enter in input text box <form id="MyForm" action="/someaction"> <input type="image" src="someimage.jpg" onclick="doStuff();$('#MyForm').submit();" /> <input type="text" name="textInput"/> </form> When the cursor is in the text box and i hit enter, rather than the form being submitted it calls the onclick event on the image input. Any ideas whats going on ?
