  • method for creating PHP templates (ie html with variables)?

    I'm designing my html emails, these are to be a block of html containing variables that i can store in a $template variable. My problem comes with the storing in the variable part. putting all my html into php makes it a pain in the bum to work with. for example, the below code is fine for a simple email but once i start getting nested tables etc its going to get really confusing... $template.= 'Welcome ' . $username . '<br /><br /><br />'; $template.= 'Thank-you for creating an account <br /><br />'; $template.= 'Please confirm your account by click the link below! <br /><br />'; $template.= '<a href="' . $sitepath . '?email=' . $email . '&conf_key=' . $key . '" style="color: #03110A;"><font size="5" font-family="Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif" color="#03110A">' . $key . '</font></a>'; $template.='</body></html>'; is there a way i can still store the html in a $var but not have to write it like this?

  • how can JIRA soap API not have this method?

    I want to be able to get a list of issues given a: Project Name and Release Version this seems like a basic JIRA soap API 101 request It seems, looking at the documentation: http://docs.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/api/rpc-jira-plugin/latest/index.html?com/atlassian/jira/rpc/soap/JiraSoapService.html you can get issues by: Filter SearchTerms SearchTerms and Project but not the above. Is this a complete oversight or i am missing something i would expect to see something like this: RemoteIssue[] issues = _soapService.getIssues(string project_, string version_) any help? UPDATE: I see that JIRA 4.0 is out but i can't find any documentation if the API has changed to support this request above. Can anyone find this link to answer that questions.

    I have defined a class named MyClass and I have defined two methods myMethod1 and myMethod2 for it: function MyClass() {} MyClass.prototype.myMethod1 = function() {...}; MyClass.prototype.myMethod2 = function() {...}; Inside myMethod1, I use jQuery and there's a callback closure defined there: MyClass.prototype.myMethod2 = function() { $.jQuery({success: function(data) { this.myMethod2(); }, ...}); } Now the problem is that this no longer is referring to MyClass. The question is how can I refer to it? At the moment I have assigned it to a variable named thisObj and access it this way: MyClass.prototype.myMethod2 = function() { var thisObj = this; $.jQuery({success: function(data) { thisObj.myMethod2(); }, ...}); } Is there a better way to access MyClass.this from the closure nested in myMethod2?   • Python: Calling method A from class A within class B?

    There are a number of questions that are similar to this, but none of the answers hits the spot - so please bear with me. I am trying my hardest to learn OOP using Python, but i keep running into errors (like this one) which just make me think this is all pointless and it would be easier to just use methods. Here is my code: class TheGUI(wx.Frame): def __init__(self, title, size): wx.Frame.__init__(self, None, 1, title, size=size) # The GUI is made ... textbox.TextCtrl(panel1, 1, pos=(67,7), size=(150, 20)) button1.Bind(wx.EVT_BUTTON, self.button1Click) self.Show(True) def button1Click(self, event): #It needs to do the LoadThread function! class WebParser: def LoadThread(self, thread_id): #It needs to get the contents of textbox! TheGUI = TheGUI("Text RPG", (500,500)) TheParser = WebParser TheApp.MainLoop() So the problem i am having is that the GUI class needs to use a function that is in the WebParser class, and the WebParser class needs to get text from a textbox that exists in the GUI class. I know i could do this by passing the objects around as parameters, but that seems utterly pointless, there must be a more logical way to do this that doesn't using classes seem so pointless? For sake of simplication for this post, the count is not static, but it does not change anything.

  • What is the most efficient method to find x contiguous values of y in an array?

    Running my app through callgrind revealed that this line dwarfed everything else by a factor of about 10,000. I'm probably going to redesign around it, but it got me wondering; Is there a better way to do it? Here's what I'm doing at the moment: int i = 1; while ( ( (*(buffer++) == 0xffffffff && ++i) || (i = 1) ) && i < desiredLength + 1 && buffer < bufferEnd ); It's looking for the offset of the first chunk of desiredLength 0xffffffff values in a 32 bit unsigned int array. It's significantly faster than any implementations I could come up with involving an inner loop. But it's still too damn slow.

    I need to do a simple string replace operation on a segment of string. I ran into the following issue and hope to get some advice. In the original string I got, I can replace the string such as to something else. BUT, in the same original string, if I want to replace a much long string such as the following, it won’t work.     The following works, but I figured - since it is all based on IEnumerable, Linq can come handy here is well. By the way, is there an equivalent to Directory.GetFiles() which would return an IEnumerable instead of the array? If it exists, then would it make the code run any faster? Lets look at the example of what we have at entrance: class Foo { public: void method1( ); int method2( ); const Bar * method3( ) const; protected: float m_member; }; and this is what we would like to have at the end: class Foo { public: void method1( ); int method2( ); const Bar * method3( ) const; protected: float m_member; }; So the longest member type declaration defines the column to which class member names will be aligned. How can i perform such transformation in emacs ?

What is the huge benefit I'm missing here? If they had just used compareTo I could just had replaced Comparable with Ordered in my code and be done.
