  • C# Reading and Writing a Char[] to and from a Byte[]

    Hi, I have a byte array of around 10,000 bytes which is basically a blob from delphi that contains char, string, double and arrays of various types. This need to be read in and updated via C#. I've created a very basic reader that gets the byte array from the db and converts the bytes to the relevant object type when accessing the property which works fine. My problem is when I try to write to a specific char[] item, it doesn't seem to update the byte array. I know a possible solution is to use a private variable called _usercaplas that I set and update as needed however as the byte array is nearly 10,000 bytes in length the class is already long and I would like a simpler approach as to reduce the overall code length and complexity.   • How to store (and use) the current mouse position?

    What is the best way to store the current mouse position (system-wide) and then (later) put the mouse at that stored point? [NSEvent mouseLocation] gets me the position, and I can move the mouse with a CGEventMouseMoved, but they each use a different co-ordinates system (I believe y=0 is the top for NSEvent and the bottom for a CGEvent). I'm worried about the robustness of capturing the screen height and using it to convert between the two - or is this the best approach?

    I want too display PPTs as inline on webpage via swf. So I convert them to swf using OpenOffice scripting. I can embed them into webpage via swfobject, however this has two major problems, Swfobject require me to tell the size of uploaded swfs, which I dont know in advance, as size/aspect ratio of swf depends on uploaded presentation. This doesnot put next/previous controls. Is there a tool/library using which I can emebed swf player in page without these problems.

    I have a script that lets the user upload text files (PDF or doc) to the server, then the plan is to convert them to raw text. But until the file is converted, it's in its raw format, which makes me worried about viruses and all kinds of nasty things. Any ideas what I need to do to minimize the risk of these unknown files. How to check if it's clean, or if it's even the format it claims to be and that it does not crash the server.

    If I output a formatted date as follows: DateTime.Parse("2010-06-02T15:26:37.789 +01:00").ToString("HH:mm:sszzz") I get the expected result: 15:26:37+01:00 However, if I parse the same date, convert to UTC and output with the same format as follows: DateTime.Parse("2010-06-02T15:26:37.789 +01:00").ToUniversalTime().ToString("HH:mm:sszzz") I get this: 14:26:37+01:00 Now those two dates, the local and UTC versions, should be exactly the same but the outputted text represents two different times. Why is this?

    It seems that I have more trouble getting standard Unix things to run on Snow Leopard than any other platform--including Windows cygwin For the past couple of days, I've been trying to get ImageMagick to run on Snow Leopard. So now I'm two steps away from ImageMagick, trying to get a newer libiconv on my machine. I downloaded the latest libiconv, compiled and built it. I put the resulting library in /opt/local/lib, and I still get the same error message: tppllc-Mac-Pro:.libs swirsky$ sudo mv libiconv.2.dylib /opt/local/lib/libiconv.2.dylib tppllc-Mac-Pro:.libs swirsky$ convert dyld: Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libiconv.2.dylib Referenced from: /opt/local/lib/libfontconfig.1.dylib Reason: Incompatible library version: libfontconfig.1.dylib requires version 8.0.0 or later, but libiconv.2.dylib provides version 7.0.0 Trace/BPT trap Now here's something interesting. So even though I do have a library that provides 8.0.0, it's being seen as 7.0.0! Any ideas why this would happen? So here's my question: Is it possible to get ImageMagick to run on OSX Snow Leopard? Are there any binary distributions that have static libraries baked in so I don't have to worry about these issue/

I structured the solution in 4 projects: POCO entities Domain model Services web application When the application performs a query on the database, use one of the services provided, the service uses the repository and the small classes, as a result I have some dynamic proxy objects that I would like to convert in my domain entities, before using them in mvc views, but I do not know how. Dovrebber be set as the translator? This approach is reasonable?
