• Server 2008 Task Scheduler and a CMD file

  Task Scheduler - I have a .cmd file I'm trying to execute on a regular basis through Task Scheduler. I've set the task so that it points to the cmd file. I want the task to execute even when no one is logged in. I've set the credentials associated with the task to the local service account. When I execute the task, nothing happens. The Last Run Result shows 0x1, this means it didn't execute properly. When I run the file from a command prompt it executes just fine. Any help out there would be appreciated. I would post the code but it has sensitive information in it and I'm not allowed to let the code outside. Thanks

My doubt is can we store the entire file, images in DB. State me Which is good practice and why we need to use it. Either file System Storage or SQL DB Storage.

• Terminal Server 2008 - Slow File open dialog in Office 2003

  I have yet another small issue that annoys me everyday in our Terminal Server environment. It seems when logging into Terminal Server users report the initial File | Open or File | Save As from within an application such as Word, Excel (2003 edition) is very slow to display the actual dialog box. The dialog appears quickly but it is whited out (sometimes displays not responding in title bar) and unresponsive, it then sits like this for about 20-30 secs before popping into life and displaying all the folders etc. The second time you go to save or open a file it loads almost instantly. Any suggestions or similar problems out there?

• Take all fields in a database table and put them straight into a text file

  I have an database file (mdb) file that contains a dictionary of words. A couple thousand of them. I just need the words (in the order they are already in) put into a text file. Currently they have ID's associated with them (e.g. 1, 2, 3) but I don't need it. I just need the words. What is the best way to do this? Actually, if somebody is able to find a dictionary of English words (something along the lines of a scrabble dictionary) that is free online, I'll accept that too. I just can't seem to find any good ones online.

And it appears to be folder. Can any one say what exactly UNIX Executable file means and how is it created. By the way, that is created in Windows OS it seems.

• Extract large zip file (50G) on Mac OS X

  I was trying to move the files to another hard drive. So I archived all my photos in one large zip file using the Mac OS X built-in compress function. But the file failed to extract. I've tried many programs, but none of the programs I tried were able to extract the file. I've tried Mac OS X's extract utility, Stuffit Expander, 7zip (command line), all failed. Mac's archive utility and Stuffit don't seem to support large files, and 7zip's command line version gave an error stating unsupported archive. I have no luck in Windows too as many of my files have Chinese filenames, and couldn't extract to the correct name under Windows. Could anyone please suggest some programs that can support large files, can handle files compressed using Mac OS X's compress function, and can support UTF-8 filename? With or without GUI is fine. Thank you in advance.

  I have a web server that we use, apache, centos5, php I have a file called 'include.php' that I need to include in multiple sites. Eg. I have a site called testsite.co.za, now in the index.php i want to include the include.php file, the include.php is not in the root of testsite.co.za, Now i created another folder includes in the web root directory which contains include.php my code looks as follows in testsite.co.za/index.php require_once '../includes/include.php'; if i run testsite.co.za it can't detect include.php. Is there a certain server setting I need to change in order to include this file?   I have downloaded databasename.bak file from my hosting company, when i tried to restore that DB file in SQL server 2008 it is keep on giving me following error. The media family on device 'C:\go4sharepoint_1384_8481.bak' is incorrectly formed. SQL Server cannot process this media family. RESTORE HEADERONLY is terminating abnormally. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 3241) According to this error and from following link http://www.sqlcoffee.com/Troubleshooting047.htm It is clear that either file i am downloading is corrupt or it is getting corrupted on the way? Any idea, why I am keep on receiving this error? I tried almost all ways but unable to fix this problem, please help me.

  Is there a way to prevent the user from selecting a file that is not a specified file type when they browser for the file on their computer? For example, when a user browseses to upload an image file I would for them to only see images (jpg, png, ect.) that are less than 20mb. We would like to set-up our own backup-server running on any operating system (windows appreciated) which comes with a web-interface, that enables to restore individual versions of one file. Because budget is limited, an open-source software or at least a cheap software is a must! Unfortunately I couldn't find even a single software, which fulfills the requirements of file versioning and web-interface for single file-restore. Do any of you have already set-up such a system? • Large file copy from NFS to local disk performance drop

  I'm trying to copy a 200GB file from an NFS mount to a local disk. The local disk is an XFS filesystem on a LVM on top of a RAID 5 system (hardware RAID controler). I'm using rsync to monitor the transfer speed. At the beginning the IO speed is about 200MB/s, stable for the first 18GB. But then the performance drops by a factor of 10-20 and never recovers to the initial rate. Sometimes it reaches about 50-100MB/s but just for a few seconds and then the process seems to hang for a bit. At the same time all file-stat operations on the target filesystem are blocking for a long time (minutes). Also interrupting the copy process blocks for several minutes, a sub-sequent delete of the partly copied file takes also several minutes. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Some of the sub-projects currently have a build rule set on them to use the Intel compiler for C++ files.   Hi All, All I need is to have an Excel list of file paths and use Powershell to append (not replace) the same extension on to each file. It should be very simple, right? The problem I'm seeing is that if I go input-csv -path myfile.csv | write-host I get the following output: @{FullName=C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\appendto.me} @{FullName=C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\append_list.csv} @{FullName=C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\leavemealone.txt} In other words it looks like it's outputting the CSV "formatting" as well. However if I just issue import-csv -path myfile.csv, the output is what I expect: FullName -------- C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\appendto.me C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\append_list.csv C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\leavemealone.txt Clearly there's no file called "@{FullName=C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\leavemealone.txt}" and a rename on that won't work, so I'm not sure how to best get this data out of the import-csv command, or whether to store it in an object, or what. • Empty sshd_config file

  I run a Centos 5 server with a LAMP stack. I was told this morning that the server was down not serving web content. I then tried to restart httpd but it failed due to another process was listening on port 443. I checked what process was running on 443 using netstat and it was sshd. I then checked the sshd_config file to check the ports that sshd was running on but the sshd_config file was completely blank. I than ran chkrootkit and it flagged not suspicions. What could of caused the sshd_config file to be blank, and sshd service to be restarted? I would really value your thoughts. All the best.
