    Hi I have a button and when it's clicked, I want to replace the button with an image. How can I do this in JQuery? Is it possible to replace the background of the image as well? The button itself is within a large div, and I don't want to add another div around the button because it messes up a previous layout. Thanks

    I am currently using the JQuery ajax function to call an exterior PHP file, in which I select and add data in a database. Once this is done, I run a success function in JavaScript. What's weird is that the database is updating successfully when ajax is called, however the success function is not running.     I'm using jquery and in one function I'm calling multiple function which are doing different ajax request for example function contactForm(){ loadCountryList(); loadMyData(); checkUserType(); // doing my stuff } How can I know if all the ajax request are completed so that I start doing my stuff in the end? I don't want to call them one by one to minimize the request time. any suggestion will help me a lot.

    I have a page that has a tab set. Each of the tabs is loaded by the jQuery .load() function. I want to display a loading animation that disappears when all of the ajax requests are finished. However, document.ready() has only provided me with limited success. How can I ensure that all ajax requests are completed before executing the code to hide the loading animation? Thanks!

It cant reach the service and the request fails This happens for all the examples, ASMX, REST and WCF any ideas how to get this working cross daomain?

Im trying to do a simple fadeIn ONCE for the first div , but the problem is that this is a ajax load inside a everyTime(xxx sec), so it does the same thing everytime it loads again. anyone got any ideas on how i can prevent the first div to fadeIn over and over again, but still do this function on the new div? Not very familiar with Jquery.. so feed me with a spoon :)

    Hi! I have looked at several tutorials involving rails 3 and jquery. The tutorial at http://www.blog.bridgeutopiaweb.com/post/how-to-use-jquery-for-rails-3/ looked promising. However, I get the errors of document.on is not a function and $("a[data-remote=true]").livequery is not a function I get the feeling that I should look at another tutorial or just use jquery raw and not install a ruby gem for jquery. Any advice? Thanks!
