  • how to tackle a new project

    Hi, I have a question about best practice on how to tackle a new project, any project. When starting a new project how do you go about tackling the project, do you split it into sections, start writing code, draw up flow diagrams. I'm asking this question because I'm looking for advice on how I can start new projects so I can get going on them quicker. I can have it planned, designed and starting coding with everything worked out. Any advice? Thanks Stephen

    I try to start an Google appengine application in my eclipse. I have the Google plugin and I set the sdk for my application. But, when I start this one, I get the following error: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.datanucleus.store.appengine.jpa.DatastorePersistenceProvider However, this class is present in the sdk which is present in my classpath. Why Appengine doesn't find this class ? Thanks.

  • Retrieving data from a JSON sub array in javascript, where identifier starts with an integer

    I must be missing something simple here, but I'm having trouble retrieving data from a JSON array response. I can access objects with identifiers that start with letters, but not ones that start with numbers. For example, I can access data.item[0].specs.overview.details But I can't access data.item[0].specs.9a99.details If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

However, I'm afraid to bring guava into our product stack b/c some developers may start to use 'beta' classes. We have various unit-tests in our code but at this point, I prefer not to include 'beta' class b/c it is subject to change in the future. Is there any easy way to do detect if the project includes any 'beta' guava classes?

    I tried to edit a service file in /etc/systemd/system/aria2.service [Unit] Description=start aria2 Wants=network.target Before=network.target [Service] Type=oneshot ExecStart=/usr/bin/aria2c --enable-rpc --rpc-listen-all=true --rpc-allow-origin-all -c -D [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target Then run "systemctl enable aria2" & "systemctl start" and there is no error. But I can't grep 'aria2c' in process list after reboot. Who can give me a sample service file for it? Thanks

    Hi, I wrote a code for pinging of given URL.It works fine for me.But whenever i clicked on the start ping button, pinging started but that time focus always is on start button and no widget of the screen working that time.     I recently read the source code of couch-db, I find this type definition which i don't understand: -type branch() :: {Key::term(), Value::term(), Tree::term()}. -type path() :: {Start::pos_integer(), branch()}. -type tree() :: [branch()]. I did read Erlang doc, But what is the meaning of Start, Key, Value and Tree? From what i understand, they are Erlang variables! I didn't find any information about this in Erlang doc.

    When I click my app's icon on the desktop,the splashactivity will first run, then it start the loginactivity before it finished. I click the loginbutton to login.the I came to the mainactivity.Then I click the HomeKey to goto the Android Home. At this time ,I click the app's icon again, the splashactivity start firstly.
