  • Priority queue with dynamic item priorities.

    I need to implement a priority queue where the priority of an item in the queue can change and the queue adjusts itself so that items are always removed in the correct order. I have some ideas of how I could implement this but I'm sure this is quite a common data structure so I'm hoping I can use an implementation by someone smarter than me as a base. Can anyone tell me the name of this type of priority queue so I know what to search for or, even better, point me to an implementation?

  • Rails caches_page :index in Wrong Location

    I have a controller Projects in my Rails app with: caches_page :index However, instead of the cached file being generated at /public/projects/index.html it is located at /public/projects.html. The web server (currently Mongrel) looks for */ directories before *.html files. So the http://…/projects request is routed through Rails and my index cache file is never served. How can I tell caches_page :index to generate the file at /public/projects/index.html instead?

  • Does UIScrollView have a special content view for making the scrolling possible?

    I wonder if UIScrollView has got an "hidden" subview acting as an container for the content. If I scroll a scroll view, is that content view moved up/down in the scroll view? Or is the scrolling offset applied to the bounds of that UIScrollView instance? Or: Does UIScrollView use an additional view as container, or is all content added directly to the view? The documentation doesn't tell much about wether it has a content container or not.

    Hi, I need to build a component which would take a few XML documents in input and check the following kind of rules: XML1:/bookstore/book[price>35.00] != null and (XML2:/city/name = 'Montreal' or XML3://customer[@language] contains 'en') Basically my component should be able to: substitute the XML tokens with the corresponding XML document(before colon) apply xpath query on this XML document check the xpath output against expected result ("=", "!=", "contains") follow the basic syntax ("and", "or" and parentheses) tell if the rule is true or false Do you know any library which could help me? maybe JavaCC?     I understand the default git behaviour of updating the modification time every time it changes a file, but there are times when I want to restore a file's original modification time. Is there a way I can tell git to do this? (As an example, when working on a large project, I made some changes to configure.ac, found out that autotools doesn't work on my system, and wanted to restore configure.ac's to its original contents and modification time so that make doesn't try to update configure with my broken autotools).

When I deploy my Windows Service using InstallUtil.exe: a) do I have to explicitly tell it to reference my FooLib.dll? b) where does FooLib.dll get deployed if I mean to deploy it as a private assembly and not in the GAC?

My question is if the database is automatically converted to 64bit after it is reattached on the new server or if it is running in 32bit mode on a 64bit instance. Is there a way to tell?
