  • Panels-style UI for arbitrary CCK fields?

    I have a Drupal content type that has unlimited photo, textbox, and external link CCK fields, but while fields themselves can be reordered via drag-drop (i.e. photo B before photo A), I can't arbitrarily order amongst fields (i.e. photo B, link A, photo A, text A, link B). Panels is awesome, with its drag and drop, and just what I'm looking for interface-wise. Has anyone seen a Panels-style UI for ordering arbitrary collections of disparate CCK fields?

    Please suggest how should I approach these requirements. What ready-to-use solutions (modules) are best suited to achieve something like this: What I need is an image library that has searchable, tagged images that are already resized when we publish them. If the author searches the library and the image he needs isn’t there, he can upload one and have it added to the index. The important thing is that images in the library can be sorted into three categories: News images, top story images and feature images so that, over time, we don’t end up with hundreds of images crammed into one folder, thus making browsing a pain (and to prevent someone from something like: Searching for a keyword so they can find an image for the news, picking an image, and then seeing it’s 1600X. 1200). Also, I need something which will assemble thumbnail galleries easily. I don’t want to have to go to the image library, get a URL, go back, paste it in, etc. I should be able to pick, say, 8 images and say “create gallery”. How this objective is achieved is flexible, but I am looking for a shortcut to get around assembling screenshot galleries by hand.

  • Visual Studio Debugging is not attaching to WebDev.WebServer.EXE

    I have a solution with many projects. On Debug, I have three web projects that I want to start up on their own Cassini ASP.NET Web Development servers. In the Solution Properties - Common Properties - Startup Project, I have Multiple startup projects chosen with the three web applications' Action set to Start. All three web development servers start, and all three web pages load. However, Visual Studio is only attaching to two of the WebDev.WebServer.EXE processes. I have to manually go attach to the third process in order to debug it with the debugger. This behavior just started happening, and I'm at a loss as to how to troubleshoot this. Any help is appreciated. EDIT: Also to note, I have stopped and restarted the development servers several times with no change in behavior. Also, when attaching to the process manually, I see that the Type property of the two automatically attached WebDev.WebServer.EXE processes is Managed, while the Type property of the unattached WebDev.WebServer.EXE process is TSQL, Managed, x86. When looking at the project's properties, however, I am targeting AnyCPU, and do NOT have SQL Server debugging enabled. EDIT: Also to note, the two projects that attach correctly are C# web applications. <ProjectTypeGuids>{349c5851-65df-11da-9384-00065b846f21};{fae04ec0-301f-11d3-bf4b-00c04f79efbc}</ProjectTypeGuids> The project that is not attaching correctly is a VB.NET web application. <ProjectTypeGuids>{349c5851-65df-11da-9384-00065b846f21};{F184B08F-C81C-45F6-A57F-5ABD9991F28F}</ProjectTypeGuids> EDIT: Also to note, the behavior is the same on another workstation. You are told that each line in 'ColCheckMe' has 7 columns, and that the values in the 5th column are integers. Using shell functions indicate how you would verify that these conditions are satisfied in 'ColCheckMe' if In the same file, each value in column 1 is unique. How would I verify that?     i have small problem.... i have one content type say cars with various fields, say more than 30 , user can create the content types... now i would like to show only few fields in different phases,is there any possibility to do that. more explantaion:- user may enter the car model and car details in the first page and upload images in second page.(say a popup in the block) is this is possible ? i m newbie to drupal, i would like to do this kind of data updation, i though with designing a one more content type with the existing fields, can any one explain this issue... what if i design a content type car1 with same fields say(file uplaod) in car content type.

    I started RoR development a few months ago, and being new to Mac... Time flies and now I have a lot different ruby versions, rails versions and gems versions located everywhere......And currently I installed rvm and things got even worst, all things messed! And so I started want to clean all things and use rvm again! I want to uninstall all gems, all rails, and all ruby versions, except the system's default one (the very old one born with the mac). Or any other better solutions or suggestions!? Can someone tell me how to the same in old school "use base" speak? To reiterate the question, I would like to have my base classes to have an automatic logging mechanism so if the user does not do anything I get some reasonable logging but if the user of my class needs/wants to overwrite it they can.

  • Help with ActiveX Install? Merge Modules - Windows Vista and Windows 7

    I'm building an ActiveX control installer in VS2008 which uses both the CRT and MFC merge modules to install. When my control tries to register on Windows 7 it fails. Dependency Walker says I'm missing the mfc90u.dll, msvcr90.dll and msvcp90.dll dependencies when trying to register my control and the install fails. Are the merge modules supposed to take care of this? My output OCX is being registered with the vsdrpCOMSelfReg option. From what I am reading on other forums, this might not be the best method, what should I try at this point? Install works fine on Windows XP.

    I've placed the players in "sites/all/libraries/" but I'm still getting this message when I go to admin/settings/swftools/handling, "FlexPaper - Missing sites/all/libraries/flexpaper/FlexPaperViewer.swf" Anyone having the same issue? On a side note when I setup the swftools profile and then assign the CCK formater and then goto the page to view the swf I get this message: "No modules have registered the action swf_list.     I have not been able to get drupal_get_form to pass on the node data. Code snippets are below. The drupal_get_form documentation (api.drupal.org) states that it will pass on the extra parameters. I am basing the node data not being passed because (apparently) $node['language'] is not defined in hook_form which causes $form['qqq'] not to be created and thus the preview button shows up. My goal here is that the preview button show up using path "node/add/author" but doesn't show up for "milan/author/add". Any alternative methods for achieving this goal would be helpful but the question I want answered is in the preceding paragraph. Everything I've read indicates that it should work.   • Drupal: Content in blocks from node_reference fields?

    After only a few weeks of working with Drupal I've come up with a recurring problem, which I don't really have an optimal solution to, so I'm hoping that someone here might be able to give some best practice pointers. What I have is a region inside my node.tpl.php, which is populated with blocks that display content from two different CCK fields of the type node_reference. This works fine when displaying a single node. The problem appears when I need to use a view. For example, lets say I have a news listing, and a single news item view. When I display the single news item I can use the news node node_reference field to reference whatever material I would like to have in my sidebar, but when on the news listing view I would like to reference nodes separately. What would be the best practice to solve this? I'm having a few ideas, but none seem like the logical choice, how would you do?
