  • Wordpress Install on OS X Snow-Leopard under Sites/public for use with capistrano

    I would like to put my local OS X wordpress site in my ~users/Sites/public directory, instead of the ~users/Sites so i can properly setup a capistrano deployment. When i try this i can visit the site locally by visiting http://localhost/public and everything looks and works great but if i ever try to go to http://localhost/public/wp-admin to administer my local copy of wordpress it tries to redirect me back to http://localhost/wp-admin which doesn't exist. Do you know how I might be able to work around this problem?

    Ok. I am just starting to use soap and my first problem is installing it. I got this error: Fatal error: Class 'SoapClient' not found in /home/user/mysite.com/path/to/file.php on line 16 I am hosting my site in DreamHost and ask the guys there. But they told me that they don't support any third-party installation. Does anyone has the same problem and manage to solved it? Thansk!

  • Wizard based feature install in sharepoint 2007?

    I have a feature that gets installed using a WSP package, when the feature is activated, I would like the following to happen: The feature will contain a list definition. When the feature gets activated by an end user (the user physically clicks the feature activation button in site features admin) - I would like a modal dialog to appear then ask the user to provide some additional details. 3.1 The additional details will be supplying a certain number of names. For example Mary, John, Peter. Form logistics I can handle. Once the form is complete that information needs to somehow get back to the feature reciever, so that I can then take the base list definition, and use it as a template to create list instances for all the names supplied - so if user had supplied Mary and Peter, then 2 list instances will be created when this feature is activated. Is any of this possible with MOSS 2007? Thank you

  • Having my Python package install shortcuts in Start menu

    I'm making a Python package that gets installed with a setup.py file using setuptools. The package includes a GUI, and when it's installed on a Windows machine, I want the installation to make a folder in "Programs" in the start menu, and make a shortcut there to a pyw script that will start the GUI. (The pyw think works on all platforms, right?) On Mac and Linux, I would like it to put this shortcut in whatever Mac and Linux have that is parallel to the start menu. How do I do this?

  • Install Shield 2009 Premier, Uninstall doesn't close the process/gui

    My application (developed using C#.net) is open now i uninstall, InstallShield gives message stating the application is already open and whether really want to close the application. Selection 'Ignore' continues uninstall. Some files and the exe of the application are not closed. How to close them by installshield on uninstall. Or there are some properties I have to set. I know adding a custom action at uninstall i can kill the process, but shouldn't installshield do it?

  • Modifying a MySQL database on a Ruby on Rails install

    Hello, sorry if this questions is overly basic or has been asked before but I simply cannot figure it out. On my Ruby on Rails site, I have a controller that accesses the fields of a table in my database and displays their "Name" field as a drop-down menu in one of my views. My problem is I need to change the options of that dropdown menu so I need a way to get into the MySQL database and change the values of those fields. Anyone know of a way to do this? From the sample I need to import org.jgroups.*, but in NetBeans I get the following error: package org.jgroups does not exist So, went on the net and download jGroups (src and bin), been trying to figure out how to get it to work but nothing I do seems to solve the problem.     My program is written in C++, using GCC on Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit. If depends on /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6 which actually points to /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6.0.13. Now I copy this program to virgin Ubuntu 7.04 system and try to run it. It doesn't run, as expected. Then I add to the program directory the following files: libstdc++.so.6.0.13 libstdc++.so.6 (links to libstdc++.so.6.0.13) and execute command: LD_LIBRARY_PATH=. ./myprogram Now everything is OK. The question: how can I write installation script for such program? myprogram file itself should be placed to /usr/local/bin. What can I do with dependencies? For example, on destination computer, /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6 link points to /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6.0.8. What can I do with this? Note: the program is closed-source, I cannot provide source code and makefile.

    Hi, I am new to glassfish server. i have a question on glassfish usage: can I just use glassfish like a tomcat server without needing an installation? where in, I just take a folder containing glassfish folders, jars etc... dump it in a folder location setup a few environment variables and it runs.. just like tomcat? is it possible with glassfish? also does glassfish installation does any other background things like creating registry entries etc other than creating the glassfish folder structure?     I've got a wordpress plugin which presets several settings in a wordpress site and creates some default pages which are the same for all my sites. I would like to include an html file in my plugin zip package that is placed into the site's root directory "as is" (same file name, etc) The file is my google verification file, which is the same for all my sites, so I'd like to save a few steps and automate the process of installing it, along with my default setup steps that my plugin handles.     So when I create a debian package, I am able to write a post-installation shell script that runs just fine. However, I can't seem to get user input to work with RPMs for Fedora. Is there a good way to take user input? From what I understand, RPMs were designed not to allow interactive installs. However I can't see a better way to do this.. Is there possibly a way to automatically find local MySQL settings without asking the user? Otherwise, what's the best way to ask for user input?
