It should add those headers to any HTTP Response that does NOT have those extensions. But it's not working, it's adding them to any Response. I also need to create another directive to add Header set Cache-Control "max-age=3600, public" to Responses of files that DOES have them. Could anybody help me make proper fileMatch regexes?

• Windows 8 Modern UI searching in files doesn't work

  I have a problem with my search in Windows 8. When I search through the Modern UI style (WinF) for files, it won't return a single result from none of my drives. Searching via Windows Explorer works fine. I had the same problem in Windows 8 Consumer Preview, but it worked in Developer Preview. And I looked on the net for other users with similar problems, but I haven't found anything. Is there someone who knows what the problem might be?

• Duplicating an instance into a new VPC from a Snapshot

  We have a group of instances in an Amazon VPC we use for our live environment. We have a big release to do and want to test that the deployment will run smoothly. I have created a second VPC, created instances of the same size on the same private ips and then removed their original volumes and attached new volumes that were created from snapshots of the live environment. Unfortunately none of the instance will allow me to connect. They start running fine, but I don't get any system logs appear and can't connect. The only thing I can think of is that the new instance was created from a new AMI as the old one is deprecated due to new security fixes. Is this a problem? If so can I fix it in any way? And if this isn't a problem, does anyone have any ideas how I can fix it?

  I'm about to throw in the towel on this one. Running SQL Server 2008 enterprise on Windows 7 x64. Can't get past this issue. When I try to Import / Export Data from databases through SQL Server Management Studio I get the following Error. Error: TITLE: SQL Server Import and Export Wizard ------------------------------ The SSIS Data Flow Task could not be created. Verify that DTSPipeline.dll is available and registered. The wizard cannot continue and it will terminate. ------------------------------ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Cannot create a task with the name "STOCK:PipelineTask". Verify that the name is correct. ({0194F10C-9860-4A4F-AF8B-DE7EFD89859F}) I have tried many solutions found via Google, but none of them have worked. A side issue that may be related is when I try to create an Integration Services Project in Business Intelligence Studio I get a 'project creation failed' error.

• How can I view and sort after the page count for multiple PDF files in a Windows file explorer?

  I unsuccessfully used the "pages" feature in Windows Explorer, as well as in Directory Opus 10 and Free Commander XT (which I installed just for that reason, to try it out) to display the page count of multiple PDFs in a folder. All my PDF's are free to edit, i.e. not write-protected. I don't understand why any PDF reader can display the (correct) page number, but none of the file explorers can? (In the "details" view of course.) The only documents whose page count is displayed are MS Word documents. Do I have to use Adobe Bridge? (I didn't try it.) On a side-note: Did that change in Windows 8? Initial research: Google search was unsuccessful, the only slightly related SE topic I found was "How to count pages in multiple PDF files?".

• Browser keeps being really rude to me today

  Hi All I've had this problem only once before, years ago. I bought a new computer the other day and last night I visited a website which Google Chrome suspected was an insecure site. So I proceeded to view the page anyway (Stupid, I know... But I was curious), and all of a sudden the window closed and ever since, every few minutes either Google chrome or Internet Explorer keeps popping up with random websites, most of which are porn-related sites. I have downloaded ZoneAlarm, IOBit 360, Eset Smart Security and none of them reported any problems. I still have the rube browser problem. Can somebody please suggest any software/ways to fix this? (Other than to reformat please :)) Thank you :)

• Photoshop changes colors when moved to a different monitor

  This Yahoo! answers question pretty much sums up my predicament. Unfortunately I haven't really found an actual answer. Here's a screen shot of what happens when I place Photoshop between my monitors. Imagine that the left side of my laptop is the right square and the yellow is the right side of my monitor. When I move the program to one side fully or the other, it takes on the corresponding color. Obviously the color on the right is correct and Photoshop is changing the color of the image when it moves to my external monitor. Also notice how none of the tools or anything are different colors, just the actual image itself. How do I fix this? EDIT You may also notice that the color palette in the left corner is showing that yellow tinge. I didn't actually pick that yellow color, it's supposed to be showing the grey on the left that I used to fill in the square.

• Vim: How can I :cd to an sftp directory?

  Hi, I'm currently an emacs user, but thought I would come back and take another look at Vim for fun. My client machine is Ubuntu, and I frequently work on other ubuntu servers within my network, emacs and tramp is really nice in this regard, I can just connect to a file via sftp and then easily navigate to it's parents/children/sibling, just as if I was dealing with a file on the local file system. With Vim I can sftp to a file, but none of the navigation stuff works, when I use :e or fuzzy file search, vim still thinks I'm back on the client machine. If I try to :cd to the sftp directory I get an error. Is there anyway I can get the same file/folder navigation regardless of whether I'm looking at an sftp folder or a folder on my client machine? • Outlook keeps forgetting safe sender domains and ignoring contacts

  I get a large number of quite similar emails from a particular address, most of which Outlook 2010 identifies as spam. None of these are actually spam. I have Outlook's junk email proection set to Low, and have told it to trust email from my contacts. I have added the address to my list of safe senders, and I have also tried adding it to my contacts. However: it keeps dropping the address from my safe senders list - I add it, it stays there for a while, but eventually I'll have a legitimate mail identified as spam, and the address will have been dropped from the list. Meanwhile, despite adding that sender to my contacts, it is still classifying their mail as junk. Any ideas of how to fix this?

• Which has a faster data transfer rate? WIFI (tablet or cell phone, not LTE) or MicroSD (Class 10)?

  Which of the two methods of dta transfer trasfers data at a faster rate for smartphones and tablets? Standard WIFI, or MicroSD Cards? I wonder if it would be actually faster to access data on external storage then it would be to have the MicroSD card in my smartphone or tablet. Currently I have a class 10 32GB MicroSD card in my cell phone. I am looking to get the new Google Nexus tablet but it does not offer expandable internal storage. I wonder if that's really a detriment; because if WIFI is faster than MicroSD, then it would matter almost none at all that you couldn't expand the storage internally. If the case is that WIFI is faster, and people caught onto this, then people could save a lot of money on lower memory ipads/iphones/ipods, tablets, and smartphones!

• Can't connect to memcached

  We currently have memcached running on CentOS. None of our PHP applications can connect, have tried multiple applications trying to establish access. The most informative PHP error we get is: "Memcache::get() [function.Memcache-get]: Server 127.0.0.1 (tcp 11211) failed with: Permission denied (13) in /var/www/.." memcached 1.4.5 PECL 2.25 We can telnet and it works. IP tables is full access from lo to lo. We've tried this on two different servers with both compiled version and the rpm in CentOS 5.5 and get the same result. Is there anything fairly obvious that we are missing?

• Some html5 video content will not play in Chrome - except in Private Browsing Mode

  I have had this problem for a couple of years, probably due to the fact that all my settings get transferred when I log into Chrome: Most videos on the net play fine using Chrome, but on certain site none of the videos will play. This is not due to wrong codecs or something, because opening the same video using Chrome's Private Browsing Mode will play it just fine. Since most (all?) extensions are disabled when using Private Browsing Mode, I guessed the problem had to be found in my extensions, so I disabled all and also disabled developer mode. • Can't access the Internet in VMware Workstation

  I'm using VMware 7.1.2 in Windows 7 with Ubuntu 11.04 as a guest OS. In the host OS (Windows 7), I can access the Internet without any problems but in the virtual machine I can't access the Internet. I've tried the following but with no success: Use all methods of connecting to the Internet in "Virtual Machine Settings": Bridged, NAT, Custom; none work. Used cabled and wireless connections on the PC - neither of them work. I've used Ubuntu in VMware for several months - previously the Internet was always accessible. Could the cause of this be because I upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04?

• Redircting to a url that has a ? in it

  I have a somewhat strange problem. A client has moved their site to Wordpress - cool no problem. They use a service for link exchanges that has a Wordpress plugin. The issue is that the new Links pages use a query string to display the correct content and I cannot figure out how to redirect the old URLs correctly. Old URLs look like this: domain.com/link/category-name.html The plugin makes them look like this in WP: domain.com/links/?page=category-name.html How in the world can I get the redirect to work properly? Here's what I have tried: Redirect 301 /link/actors.html http://www.artisticimages.biz/links/?page=actors.html Redirect 301 /link/actors.html http://www.artisticimages.biz/links/%3Fpage=actors.html Redirect 301 /link/actors.html http://www.artisticimages.biz/links/\?page=actors.html But none of those have worked. • What is the best Linux distro for a php web server? [on hold]

  We are planning to upgrade our hardware and at the same time we plan to reinstall all our web server from a fresh OS. Currently our web server is running on CentOS 4.7 on a dedicated server. We are using Apache, Mysql, PHP, SVN, FTP and all the needed tools for a web server managed through SSH. We plan to use a cloud server for the new web server. I don't know which Linux distro to take for this new server. Should I stay with Centos and just take the latest release 5.4 or should I switch to something else like a Debian base distro (Ubuntu Server)? The thing that I didn't like with CentOS was the none availability of the latest version of PHP and Apache on Yum. This make it harder to keep our webserver updated with the latest technologies... • Constant prompts for credentials from one Mac Outlook 2011 client

  The majority of my Exchange users are all on Windows 7 and have no issues (at least using Outlook...) but a subset of the executives are ardent Mac users running Outlook 2011 for OS X. One of these clients is prompted every 5-10 minutes for credentials. Ticking the checkbox to remember credentials does not fix the situation. Mac version is 10.7.2. I have already removed and rebuilt the EWS virtual directory on my Client Access server. Outlook anywhere is set to NTLM authentication. None of the Microsoft clients are experiencing this issue. What else can I do to make this issue go away?

  consider a disk with a sector size of 512 bytes, 2000 tracks/surface, 50 sectors/track, 5 doubled sided platters, average seek time is 10 msec. Assume a block size of 1024-byte is selected. Assume a file that contains 100,000 records of 100-byte each is to be stored on the disk, and NONE of the reocd can be spanned 2 blocks. How many blocks are needed to store the entire file?? If the file is arranged sequentially on disk, how many surfaces are required?? Now, i have calculated that 10,000 blocks are needed to store 100,000 records. But i am not sure how to find out the answer of the surfaces required. I only calculated the capacity of track is 25KB and capacity of surface is 50,000 KB But I don't know how to calculate the number of surfaces... Could anyone help me how to get the answer? • Programmatically change height of the window more than the height of the screen in Mac OS X

  Respected low-level users of Mac OS, please, help. I'm trying programmatically to change height of window of safari (or other window). I'm was trying used AppleScript and AXUIElementSetAttributeValue of Carbon, but none of these methods can't increase the window bigger than the height of the screen. But, the width changes without any problems. I guess I'd be starting with something like SetWindowPos with SWP_NOSENDCHANGING flag under Win32. Maybe, you can disable this functionality, which monitors the size of the window or completely shutdown the one who is responsible for it? Note that I want to do this programmatically from an external process - I'm not asking how to control just my own app's window size and position. Thanks.

  We are having a terminal server ibm x3650 with 8 gb of RAM. On many occasions, at least once in a day, we get the error "The instruction at "0x7c8199b2" refrenced memory at "0x9ddc2ade". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program. Click on CANCEL to debug the program. I have surfed very many sites, microsoft included, but none of them have been able to give conclusive solution for ending this problem. When we press on ok or cancel, then our ERP application (VB-MS SQL) starts to work normally. till such time the message is there, all our reports are hanged (Business Objects reports). We have already installed all the drivers of printers on the TS. Can anyone help?

• A Service specific error occured:1 on trying to start apache 2.0 server.(Windows 7)

  I installed apache on my computer(localhost) and it worked fine. Then I went to download some other stuff and later noticed that the apache server stopped. So I went to command prompt(as administrator) and typed net start apache2. It says The Apache2 Service is starting. But before it finishes, I get the error A Service Specific Error Occurred: 1. It says that you can type in something for more info, but that doesn't help at all. Things I have tried: 1: Quit Google Drive Sync 2: Quit any and all programs using port 80(port my server is on) 3. I even tried changing the port of the server and got same error message, so I don't think it has anything to do with something else being in the port. None of those things have worked. I am confused at why it worked earlier, but now it won't work. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  Is there a way to stop Foxit PhantomPDF from opening a linked PDF in the browser plugin? My desired behavior is for it to open the PDF in a Foxit PhantomPDF window. I've looked for an add-in, but there is none. Foxit support recommended the following solution -- select File Preferences File Associations Advanced Uncheck Include Browser... Select OK Select Make Default PDF Viewer but it didn't make a difference. How exactly is Internet Explorer making the decision to open it in the browser plugin instead of a separate PhantomPDF window? How can I change that?

• Simple way to get keys/mouse buttons working in Synergy (mac client, pc server)

  I'm trying to get Synergy working running as client on my Mac with SynergyKM Preferences panel. It's performing generally fine (just some real slow downs when my network is under heavy use, usually from youtube videos). The main thing I want to get working is none of the special buttons on my mouse are working on the client.. just the scroll and middle click.. but I have back/forward buttons I'd like to have working. Also my Windows Comfort Curve Keyboard has some extra keys and I'd like to know how to set those up to perform operations on my Mac client. I could have sworn that home/end weren't working but they seem to be now.. perhaps it's application specific..

  i,v been searching the internet for a real noop tutorial on the subject but could not found any direct info. on how to edit these files the proper way. i,v got a debian internet server that i use to host some personal domains and runs squid and rTorrent. the server is up and running with no problems but i am confused about a few things. lets say that i named my server (foo), my domain is (example.com) and my public IP is 95.211.133.200 now: should /etc/hostname contains: tango.example.com or tango <----- just the server name should /etc/hosts contains: 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost 95.211.133.200 foo.example.com foo should /etc/resolf.conf contains (along with the nameservers) both: domain example.com search example.com or just the first one. are there any other files that i should edit in order to make things right? last thing, the command: domainname returns: (none) i believe it should return (example.com). what should i do to correct that?
