• Unable to uninstall or reinstall Ubuntu desktop

  The uninstall-wubi option doesn't work. When I try reinstalling it they show an error and tells me to check "wubi 12.04 rev266" log Everything goes fine till the bottom which shows this There is another file or directory with this name. • Synaptics error "no touchpad found" at startup on HP laptop

  I know there are a lot of topics on the synaptics touchpad not working, but I can't seem to find the answer to my problem anywhere. Please forgive me if I missed it. Here is what happened. After using the "ambient light" F11 key on my HP laptop (Compaq nc8430), the touchpad was disabled and I couldn't get it to work. Then I found this thread : "Synaptic touchpad on laptop not working". And Salem's answer totally solved my problem, both for the session fix and for the permanent fix. But since then, after each reboot I get the same error pop-up, with the following content: No touchpad found. No touchpad was found in this system. If the system has a touchpad, please make sure that the synaptics driver is properly installed and configured. If your touchpad is not found, though the driver is installed and configured correctly, please compile detailed information about your touchpad hardware and report this issue to the issue tracker. Needless to say, the driver is indeed installed, activated and configured (even though it's kind of useless now, since I guess the .conf file I created is doing all the work). I know it's a minor issue, because the touchpad does work properly, but it's getting really annoying... So, could anyone please help me fix this error pop-up problem ? Thank you !

• Oracle VM 3: New Patch Set! (or Mega Millions winner?...you decide!..)

  Today, my favorite number is 14736185 (despite the fact that it did not win me $249million in the MegaMillions lottery...or did it?)!  Why?  Because it is our latest patch release and it is chock-full of good stuff for the Oracle VM 3.0 user.  Oracle VM support customers can find it on My Oracle Support as patch number 14736185.   This can be installed on Oracle VM 3.0.x systems as an incremental patch on top of 3.0.3, so if you previously ran 3.0.3 GA or updated to 3.0.3 patch 1 ( build 150) this will just apply on top.  We're recommending you update to this patch set at your earliest convenience.  For more details, see below but also see Wim Coekaert's blog with related info here. A web application firewall (WAF) is a filter or server plugin that applies a set of rules, called rule sets, to an HTTP request. WebSocket Connections. Oracle Traffic Director handles WebSocket connections by default.   Thank you to everyone who attended my Retrofit WebForms with ASP.NET MVC session at NoVa Code 2010.2. It was a fun event for me and I hope you had a great time and learned something from it. I wish I had more time to go over some more important topics in more detail. I *promise* I will be writing blog post series about it since I'll have some vacation time during the December holidays to cover some topics that I didn't get to cover in detail.   Please note that the ".bak" file included in the zip file is a SQL Server Database backup file. You have to restore it on your Database server to run it with the source code demo.   Please feel free to ask me about the demo project through Twitter or from this blog post.   I have an issue with SQL replication that I am having trouble fixing. What I am doing is restoring two DBs from a production backup, and then installing replication between them. • Sandcastle setup - Navigation to webpage was canceled.

  I am try to use Sandcastle Help File Builder, but can't quite get it to work. Here is what I have done: 1) installed the program; works like normal 2) enabled xml in the project I want documentation for that gets generated in the /bin 3) created a new sandcastle help file project 4) added the C# project as (its a WCF service in case that matters) a documentation service 5) ran the "build" to generate the help file 6) went to "documentation"/"view help file"/"view help file" in the GUI 7) The file opens and contains the appopriate "folders", but every page says "Navigation to the webpage was canceled" I have seen the xml file in the /bin and it contains all of my /// comments, so why are they not showing up in the help file? Any ideas?
