    - by Alistair
    I'm getting a warning from GHC when I compile: Warning: This binding for 'pats' shadows an existing binding in the definition of 'match_ignore_ancs' Here's the function: match_ignore_ancs (TextPat _ c) (Text t) = c t match_ignore_ancs (TextPat _ _) (Element _ _ _) = False match_ignore_ancs (ElemPat _ _ _) (Text t) = False match_ignore_ancs (ElemPat _ c pats) (Element t avs xs) = c t avs && match_pats pats xs Any idea what this means and how I can fix it?   • Quick top level server language question.

    - by Shane
Right, so if you have to decide on a server-side language for a distributed Linux-based server backend, would you choose: PHP Mono ASP.net Java As a C++ programmer, I'm thinking Java+Tomcat, but I'd love to hear experienced thoughts here, especially relating to debugging and IDE (likely Eclipse). Also, please, it's not a flame question. I'm seeing excellent sites written in all, I'm just thinking about the compile/debug/release cycle. Cheers, Shane

  • Nested Model binding in ASP.NET MVC2. fields_for from rails equivalent

    - by dagda1
Hi, I am looking for some examples of how to do model binding in ASP.NET MVC2 for COMPLEX objects. All the exmples I can find are of simple objects with no child collections or child objects. If I have an Expense object with a child ExpensePayment object. In rails, child objects are rendered with the HTML name attributes like this: expense[expense_payment][net] Rails uses fields_for to render child objects. How can I accomplish something similar in ASP.NET MVC2? Cheers Paul

  • What is the email subject length limit?

    - by Scott Ferguson
How many characters are allowed to be in the subject line of Internet email? I had a scan of The RFC for email but could not see specifically how long it was allowed to be. I have a colleague that wants to programmatically validate for it. If there is no formal limit, what is a good length in practice to suggest? Cheers,

  • Regex - find only replace occurences not touching some of them

    - by vittore
Not very good at regex though and maybe that's a stupid question, I'm given string like "bla @a bla @a1 bla " I'm also pairs like {"a", "a2"} , {"a1", "a13"}, and am to replace @a to @a2 for first pair, and @a1 to @a13 for second one. The problem is when i use string.replace and look for @a , it also replaces @a1 but it should not. Help me with regex replace, please. Cheers

    - by Wes
So, unfortunately im using vBulletin with Kohana and my integration is getting a bit complicated locking vBulletin out. Doing some rewrites, this in particular RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^do=(editprofile|editoptions)$ RewriteRule ^forum/profile.php$ /user_profile/edit/ [R=301,L] Comes back with /user_profile/edit/?do=editprofile where I need /user_profile/edit/ Cheers, Wes

  • Is there a difference between only <NSXMLParserDelegate>, only setDelegate method, or the use of bot

    - by gotye
Hey, I noticed that when I do this : [myParser setDelegate:self]; it works :D (even if I didn't add the code in the header file ... you know, the <delegateStuff, delegateOtherStuff> in the interface declaration) When are you supposed to modify the header file to make your delegate work ? Is the setDelegate method enough to make it work ? Cheers for any help ;) Gauthier

    - by Eef
Hey, I am using the datetime module. I am looking to calculate the date 6 months from the current date. Could someone give me a little help doing this? Edit: The reason I am wanting to generate a date 6 months from the current date is to produce a Review Date. If the user enters data into the system it will have a review date of 6 months from the date they entered the data. Does this help? Cheers Eef

  • RegExp: want to find all links that do not end in ".html"

    - by grovel
Hi, I'm a relative novice to regular expressions (although I've used them many times successfully). I want to find all links in a document that do not end in ".html" The regular expression I came up with is: href=\"([^"]*)(?<!html)\" In Notepad++, my editor, href=\"([^"]*)\" finds all the links (both those that end in "html" and those that do not). Why doesn't negative lookbehind work? I've also tried lookahead: href=\"[^"]*(?!html\") but that didn't work either. Can anybody help? Cheers, grovel
