    Hello All, I know there are a lot of questions similar to this, but I want to know clear difference between all of these jQuery functions together on this page with an example, so that it will be very helpful for me to understand the mechanism of all of these functions.   • Mouse click-focus wanders in vmPlayer 3.0 dual-monitor

    Previously, a WinXPSP3 session running on a WinXPSP3 host computer ran perfectly fine in a dual monitor setup. No issues with vmPlayer 2.x. BEFORE updating to vmPlayer 3, the following problem cropped up. When clicking in a single monitor, you would get exactly what you expected. However, when the display was stretched across two monitors, the clicking would be to the left of the mouse cursor. The farther RIGHT you were, the farther left the click would occur. In other words, if you clicked on the system menu of a window in the upper left of a window on the left monitor, you would get the system menu. Move half a screen to your right and the click would be on an item about a quarter of the way over, rather than where you were clicking. And by going all the way to the far right of the right monitor, you could bring up a right-click menu on the far right of the LEFT monitor. I Hope I have described this properly. It's confusing, even in words. In single monitor mode, everything works perfectly fine. If, instead of using either UltraMon or DisplayFusion, you run a single desktop across both monitors (3200x1600), there are no mousing issues. Unfortunately, having two 1600x1200 monitors, that depth of 1600 makes that hack less than useable. My graphic card won't offer anything resembling 3200x1200. vmPlayer 3.0 did not alleviate the situation. The microsoft mouse drivers are up to date and so are the nVidia card drivers. Any ideas?

  • Selenium RC test - IE gives 403 error on Tomcat app, Tomcat root OK

    I'm new to Selenium RC, having previously used Selenium IDE and only run tests in Firefox. I'm trying to get a basic test to run using Selenium RC through Eclipse; my test works OK in Firefox, and in Safari now that I've killed the pop-up blocker, but IE8 is causing a SeleniumException to be thrown, containing an "XHR ERROR" with a 403 response: com.thoughtworks.selenium.SeleniumException: XHR ERROR: URL = http://localhost:8080/pims Response_Code = 403 Error_Message = Forbidden at com.thoughtworks.selenium.HttpCommandProcessor.throwAssertionFailureExceptionOrError(HttpCommandProcessor.java:97) at com.thoughtworks.selenium.HttpCommandProcessor.doCommand(HttpCommandProcessor.java:91) at com.thoughtworks.selenium.DefaultSelenium.open(DefaultSelenium.java:335) at org.pimslims.seleniumtest.FirstTest.testNew(FirstTest.java:32) ... I can do a similar test on http:/ /localhost:8080 (space between the slashes here because SO thinks I'm spamming) and it's fine - I can make IE open that Tomcat default page and click a link. It's only if I try to open my application at http:/ /localhost:8080/pims that I see this error - and only in IE. I can open that URL in IE by typing it into the address bar. I was convinced that there's some setting in IE that's causing this, but I've tried everything I can think of. http:/ /localhost:8080 is in my Trusted Sites, and I've turned the security for that zone down to the minimum, allowed anything that looks related to popups, etc. If I try adding http:/ /localhost:8080/pims/ to Trusted Sites, IE says it's already there. I've also messed around with proxy settings, to no avail, but may have missed something obvious. I've tried starting the test with *iexplore, *iehta, and *iexploreproxy - all behave the same. Is there something I've missed?   • Retrieve click() handler in jQuery for later use

    I'm using the jQuery tablesorter plugin to sort a table, which assigns .click() handlers to the <th>s in the table. Since my table has alternating colors for each column, I've built a simple fix_table_colors(identifier) function that does as it should when I call it manually using Firebug. I would like, however, to have that automatically called after a sort. To do this, I decided to retrieve the .click() handler from the <th>s, and assign a new handler that simply calls the previous handler, followed by fix_table_colors(). (This SO question is similar, but uses standard onClick() attributes, which won't work here.) I get an 'e is undefined' error on line 2 of tablesorter.min.js when using that, though. Am I even going down the right path? I have a feeling that with what I've found so far, I can make this work, but it's going to be much uglier than I would expect it needs to be.

    Hi, I have a strange case with SWT and Button after using setEnabled() - seems if I disable and enable button at least once - I cannot properly click with mouse on it anymore...   • WCF web service: response is 200/ok, but response body is empty

    I am creating a WCF web api service. My problem is that some methods return a 200/OK response, but the headers and the body are empty. In setting up my web service, I created an ADO.NET Entity Data Model. I chose ADO.NET DbContext Generator when I added a code generation item. In the Model.tt document, I changed HashSet and ICollection to List. I built my website. It used to be that when I coded a method to return a List of an entity (like List<Customer> or List<Employee> in the Northwind database), it worked fine. Over time, I could not return a List of any of those, and could only grab one entity. Now, it's gotten to a point where I can return a List<string> or List<int>, but not a List or an instance of any entity. When I try to get a List<AnyEntity>, the response is 200/OK, but the response headers and body are empty. I have tried using the debugger and Firefox's Web Console. Using FF's WC, I could only get an "undefined" status code. I am not sure where to go from here. EDIT: In trying to grab all Areas from the database, I do this: [WebGet(UriTemplate = "areas")] public List<a1Areas> AllAreas() { return context.a1Areas.ToList(); } I would appreciate any more methods for debugging this.   • IKImageView, Buttons work intermittently in 10.5 but ok in 10.6

    Hi all, In IB,I have connected some buttons to a IKImageView. Using its received Action 'ZoomIn:', 'ZoomOut:','ZoomImageToActualSize:' When I build for 10.6 I have no issues these work as expected. But in 10.5 (ppc), they sometimes work as expected and sometimes do not. I have even tried it programatically. But I get the same results. It is intermittent with each build after I have made some small change in IB that I need. But not changes that should affect how the view acts. The only buttons that seem to work through out are 'ZoomImageToFit' and the rotate ones. When the do not work as expected, I see no change to the current image in the view, but when my app (/s, I have had this issue before in different apps) changes the image The view reflects the last request from a button. So for example when it does not work. An image is displayed, I click the 'ZoomImageToActualSize:' button, nothing happens. I load a new image and it is displayed at Actual size. Example when it does work. An image is displayed, I click the 'ZoomImageToActualSize:' button, It is displayed at Actual size. By the way, I know I can reset the view default , before I load a new image. Also if I run the 10.5 app in 10.6, it works ok, but as above I get intermittent results with the same build on multible 10.5 machines. Does anyone know what is going on, is this a known bug?     From my main page I call an ajax file via jquery, in that ajax file is some additional jquery code. Original link looks like this: <a href="/page1.php" class="guest-action notify-function"><img src="/icon1.png"></a> Then the code: $(document).ready(function(){ $('a[rel*=facebox]').facebox(); $('.guest-action').click( function() { $.get( $(this).attr('href'), function(responseText) { $.jGrowl(responseText); }); return false; }); $('.notify-function').click( function() { $(this).find('img').attr('src','/icon2.png'); $(this).attr('href','/page2.php'); $(this).removeClass('guest-action').removeClass('notify-function').attr('rel','facebox'); }); }); So basically after notify-function is clicked I am changing the icon and the url of the link, I then am removing the classes so that the click wont be ran again and add rel="facebox" to the link so that the facebox window will pop up if they try to click the new icon2.png that shows up. The problem is after I click the initial icon everything works just fine except when I try to click the new icon2.png it still executes the jgrowl code from the guest-action. But when I view the source it shows this: <a href="/page2.php" rel="facebox" class=""><img src="/icon2.png"></a> So it seemed that should work right? What am I doing wrong? I tried adding the facebox code to the main page that is calling the ajax file as well and still same issue.

  • How do I "rebind" the click event after unbind('click') ?

    I have an anchor tag <a class="next">next</a> made into a "button". Sometimes, this tag needs to be hidden if there is nothing new to show. All works fine if I simply hide the button with .hide() and re-display it with .show(). But I wanted to uses .fadeIn() and .fadeOut() instead. The problem I'm having is that if the user clicks on the button during the fadeOut animation, it can cause problems with the logic I have running the show. The solution I found was to unbind the click event from the button after the original click function begins, and then re-bind it after the animation is complete. $('a.next').click(function() { $(this).unbind('click'); ... // calls some functions, one of which fades out the a.next if needed ... $(this).bind('click'); } the last part of the above example does not work. The click event is not actually re-bound to the anchor. does anyone know the correct way to accomplish this? I'm a self-taught jquery guy, so some of the higher level things like unbind() and bind() are over my head, and the jquery documentation isn't really simple enough for me to understand.

  • [Need help]: Issue with submit button and html file input control’s Click() method

    Scenario: On click of a button, we dynamically create html file input (file upload) control on the page and call that file input controls Click() method. User then selects the file from the disk. There is a “Submit” button to upload the selected file. Problem: The problem is, when clicked on “Submit” button first time, the input value from the file input control is cleared. And the request does not go to the server. When clicked second time, the request goes to server with empty file input value. Why the first click on submit button does not send the request to server. And why it clears the file input control value? Note: The issue is observed only when we call Click() method programmatically. If we let user to click browse, then in that case, the "Submit" does not clear the input value and sends request to server on first click itself. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. By the way, server side code is in asp.net and client side in java script, testing on IE. -Somesh

  • jQuery only firing last class in multiple-class click

    I have a set of links like so: <a href="#internalLink1" class="classA">This has Class A</a> <a href="#internalLink2" class="classB">This has Class B</a> <a href="#internalLink3" class="classA classB">This has Class A and Class B</a> And here's the corresponding jQuery: $('.classA').click(function(){ // do class A stuff }); $('.classB').click(function(){ // do class B stuff }); Currently, when I click on the first link with Class A, it does the Class A stuff like it's supposed to. Similarly, when I click on the second link with Class B, it does the Class B stuff like it's supposed to. No worries there. My issue is, when I click on the third link with BOTH classes, it only fires the function for whichever class comes last (in this case, class B. If I put class A at the end instead, it performs class A's function). I want it to fire both. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance. EDIT: To those posting fiddles, nearly all of them work, so as many have said, it's most likely not my code, but the way it displays in my file. For a little more clarification, I was teaching myself some jQuery and decided to try making a (very) simple "Choose Your Own Adventure" type game. Here's a jsfiddle containing the opening of my bare-bones-please-don't-laugh game. Click on "Hide in the bushes", then "Examine the victim", then "Take any valuables and leave, he's dead already" <-- THIS is where the issue is. It's supposed to add 98 gold ("hawks") to your inventory, AND tell you that your alignment has shifted 1 point towards Chaotic. At the moment, it only does the chaotic alert, and no gold gets added to your inventory. The other option (refresh the fiddle to restart) that adds money to your inventory, but DOES NOT make you chaotic, works just fine (if you select "Search him for identification" instead of "take the money and run") Sorry this is so long!

    I am writed an automated test in Selenium IDE to test one of our applications. Our app throws one of those confirmation dialogs "Are you sure you want to continue." Click OK or Cancel Selenium does not support the clicking of these dialog boxes. I have tried the following SeleniumIDE functions with no success: chooseOkOnNextConfirmation chooseOkOnNextConfirmationAndWait Is there a javascript funtion I can call within SeleniumIDE to do this, or am I out of luck.

  • Getting jQuery slideshow animation to stop on click

    I have a slide show built with jQuery that pauses on hover. It has a group of thumbnails sitting on top of the image that advances the image when clicked, otherwise the slideshow just auto-rotates through all the images. There is also a +/- to expand and contract a caption related to each image. I want to have the slideshow's automatic advancing to stop if one of the thumbnails is clicked, or the +/-. Basically, just stop whenever a user clicks anywhere within the gallery (div class=".homeImg"). I'm having a major brain fart in getting this working properly and could use some advice.   • MS Access 2003 - Message Box: How can I answer "ok" automatically through code

    So a couple silly questions: If I include this in some event: MsgBox " ", vbOkOnly, "This little message box" could I then with some more code turn around and 'click the ok button. So that basically the message boox automatically pops up, and then automatically goes away? I know its silly because you want to know, why do you want the message box then..... well a) i just want to know if you can do that, and what would be the command b) i have some basic shapes (shape objects) that are made visible when the message box appears. But without having the message box there, there is no temporary disruption of code while waiting for the button to be clicked, and therefor those pretty image objects being made visible does take effect on the the form. So I really do not need the message box, just the temp disruption that shows the objects. Thanks!

  • Receiving "MERGE" 200 OK error when committing using trac-post-commit-hook

    When running a commit with the trac-post-commit-hook I receive a MERGE 200 OK error, I understand that this means that the commit has succeeded on the server but the file status has not updated on my local machine. But I can't find anyway to fix this issue. Would this be a problem with my setup or something in the script. I'm using stock standard script from the trac site, I'm committing through tortoiseSVN to VisualSVN Server which is hosted on a windows 2008 server. When I run the script through a command line I receive no errors, I only receive this error through TortoiseSVN.

  • Resin server giving 200 OK response but tomcat 6.0 not giving 404 Not Found

    Hi, We have an application running in resin. We are sending HTTP get and post request to this application & it gives 200 ok response with some text in the response body, as expected. But when same application deployed on tomcat6.0 ,and HTTP get and post request are made , the url gets excuted as expected ,but 404 not found response is coming with nothig in the response body. Can anybody please point out the issue ,and give suggetion what is going wrong.Its urgent Thanks in Advance. Surya

  • Capture Backspace , is this a OK solution?

    Hello, I having a hard time to capture the backspace button in a UITextView. I am trying to capture it in the method - (BOOL)textView:(UITextView *)textView shouldChangeTextInRange:(NSRange)range replacementText:(NSString *)text I thought it was ok to do like this. if([text isEqualToString:@"\b") { // code ... } But for some reason, when backspace is pressed 'text' is empty. I know I can compare lenght of the UITextView but it isnt what I want to achieve. So I found a solution to this. If I look at '[text lenght]' every key on the defaultkeyboard returns 0 . Every key excepts the backspace wich is 0. In that way i know when backspace is pressed. I do this check. if([text lenght] == 0) { // BACKSPACE PRESSED   } What is your opinion about this? -or can I do it in a better way? Regards. - Martin

  • JNI: dll function works ok in C++ main, but not with dll wrapper

    I have an a.dll (not modifiable as i do not have the source) with a function bool openPort(DWORD mem).I wrote a c++ main, loaded this dll using LoadLibrary, and the function works well.It returns true. Now, I need to call this function from Java via JNI. I wrote another b.dll with a function like so JNIEXPORT void JNICALL Java_MyClass_openPortFunc (JNIEnv *env, jobject obj, jint pMemPhy) { hInstLibrary = LoadLibrary("a.dll"); typedef bool (*openPort)(DWORD); openPort _openPort; _openPort = (openPort)GetProcAddress(hInstLibrary, "openPort"); DWORD memAddr = 0xda000; if(_openPort(memAddr)){ cout << "ok" << endl; }else{ cout << "failed " << endl; } } This however, causes the openPort to return false despite using the same parameters.
