I also remember there being a few others measures of power which are more limited versions (like finite-state-autonoma), but is there any objective measure that is more powerful?

  • Telerik Object reference not set to an instance of an object

    Hi, I have a main form which contains multiple worker threads. These threads raise events which update Telerik controls on the main form. The event handlers contain code which check if InvokeRequired and BeginInvoke where required. At random interval I am receiving the following exception, and have no idea on how where to find this?     I am doing a pmap on a tomcat process and I am seeing some huge anon blocks. From what I read anon blocks are used for thread stacks and for JNI. I have a very moderate thread count. All good components allow you to define their dimensions using percentage values using: MXML: TextInput width="100%" or Actionscript at runtime: textinp.percentWidth = 100; My question is how do you implement percentage width/height in the measure() method of your custom component? More specifically, these percentages are converted to pixels values at some stage, how is this done?

    I have question about a basic xml file I'm parsing and just putting in simple nextlines(Enters). I'll try to explain my problem with this next example. I'm( still) building an xml tree and all it has to do ( this is a testtree ) is put the summary in an itemlist. I then export it to a plist so I can see if everything is done correctly.   • Counting FLOPS/GFLOPS in program - CUDA

    Already finished my application which multiplies CRS matrix and vector (SpMV) and the only thing to do now is to count FLOPS my application did. In my opinion it's really hard to estimate number of floating point operation in case of sparse matrix - vector multiplication, because the number of multiplies in one row is really "jumpy" or fluent. I only tried to measure time using "cudaprof" ( available in ./CUDA/bin directory) - it works fine. Any sugestions and instruction pastes appreciated !

  • QueryPerformanceCounter Not Working Properly on Amazon EC2 with Win Server 2008

    Our application makes use of QueryPerformanceCounter to measure timings. When running it on Amazon EC2 instances we are noticing number that are out of whack. The symptoms look very similar to what has been reported with virtualized machines on HP proreliant servers, however all the articles state that this was not the case for Windows Server 2008. The articles recommended modifing the boot.ini to /USEPMTIMER - however, this seem to be missing from the documentation on bcdedit - which replaced boot.ini
