  I need to access the Selected Event of all the listobjects in all the worksheets of my workbook but when I access worksheet.listobject, that object apparently belongs to Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.ListObject and so doesn't have any events where as the table list object belongs to Microsoft.Office.Tools.Excel.ListObject. And I read that Microsoft.Office.Tools.Excel.ListObject.InnerObject = Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.ListObject but i don't know how to use it. Pls Help Thanks, Kavita

• EJB Persist On Master Child Relationship

  Let us take scenario where in users wants to persist master child relationship. Here will have two tables dept, emp (using Scott Schema) which are having master child relation.Model Diagram: Here in the above model diagram, Dept is the Master table and Emp is child table and Dept is related to emp by one to n relationship. Lets assume we need to make new entries in emp table using EJB persist method. Create a Emp form manually dropping the fields, where deptno will be dropped as Single Selection -> ADF Select One Choice (which is a foreign key in emp table) from deptFindAll DC. Make sure to bind all field variables in backing bean.Employee Form:Once the Emp form created, If the persistEmp() method is used to commit the record this will persist all the Emp fields into emp table except deptno, because the deptno will be passed as a Object reference in persistEmp method  (Its foreign key reference). • Building vs. Buying a Master Data Management Solution

  Many organizations prefer to build their own MDM solutions. The argument is that they know their data quality issues and their data better than anyone. Plus a focused solution will cost less in the long run then a vendor supplied general purpose product. This is not unreasonable if you think of MDM as a point solution for a particular data quality problem. But this approach carries significant risk. We now know that organizations achieve significant competitive advantages when they deploy MDM as a strategic enterprise wide solution: with the most common best practice being to deploy a tactical MDM solution and grow it into a full information architecture. A build your own approach most certainly will not scale to a larger architecture unless it is done correctly with the larger solution in mind. It is possible to build a home grown point MDM solution in such a way that it will dovetail into broader MDM architectures. A very good place to start is to use the same basic technologies that Oracle uses to build its own MDM solutions. Start with the Oracle 11g database to create a flexible, extensible and open data model to hold the master data and all needed attributes. The Oracle database is the most flexible, highly available and scalable database system on the market. With its Real Application Clusters (RAC) it can even support the mixed OLTP and BI workloads that represent typical MDM data access profiles. Use Oracle Data Integration (ODI) for batch data movement between applications, MDM data stores, and the BI layer. Use Oracle Golden Gate for more real-time data movement. Use Oracle's SOA Suite for application integration with its: BPEL Process Manager to orchestrate MDM connections to business processes; Identity Management for managing users; WS Manager for managing web services; Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition for analytics; and JDeveloper for creating or extending the MDM management application. Oracle utilizes these technologies to build its MDM Hubs.  Customers who build their own MDM solution using these components will easily migrate to Oracle provided MDM solutions when the home grown solution runs out of gas. But, even with a full stack of open flexible MDM technologies, creating a robust MDM application can be a daunting task. For example, a basic MDM solution will need: a set of data access methods that support master data as a service as well as direct real time access as well as batch loads and extracts; a data migration service for initial loads and periodic updates; a metadata management capability for items such as business entity matrixed relationships and hierarchies; a source system management capability to fully cross-reference business objects and to satisfy seemingly conflicting data ownership requirements; a data quality function that can find and eliminate duplicate data while insuring correct data attribute survivorship; a set of data quality functions that can manage structured and unstructured data; a data quality interface to assist with preventing new errors from entering the system even when data entry is outside the MDM application itself; a continuing data cleansing function to keep the data up to date; an internal triggering mechanism to create and deploy change information to all connected systems; a comprehensive role based data security system to control and monitor data access, update rights, and maintain change history; a flexible business rules engine for managing master data processes such as privacy and data movement; a user interface to support casual users and data stewards; a business intelligence structure to support profiling, compliance, and business performance indicators; and an analytical foundation for directly analyzing master data. Oracle's pre-built MDM Hub solutions are full-featured 3-tier Internet applications designed to participate in the full Oracle technology stack or to run independently in other open IT SOA environments. Building MDM solutions from scratch can take years. Oracle's pre-built MDM solutions can bring quality data to the enterprise in a matter of months. But if you must build, at lease build with the world's best technology stack in a way that simplifies the eventual upgrade to Oracle MDM and to the full enterprise wide information architecture that it enables.

• How to Transpose Rows and Columns in Excel 2013

  You’ve setup your worksheet with all your row and column headings and you’ve entered all your data. Then, you discover that it would look better if the rows were the columns and the columns were the rows. How do you accomplish this easily? There is an easy way to convert your rows to columns and vice versa using the Transpose feature in Excel. We’ll show you how. Select the cells containing the headings and data you want to transpose. Click Copy or press Ctrl + C. Click in a blank cell on the spreadsheet. This cell will be the top, left corner of the new table of data. Click the down arrow on the Paste button and select Paste Special from the drop-down menu. On the Paste Special dialog box, select the Transpose check box so there is a check mark in the box and click OK. The rows become the columns and the columns become the rows. The original set of data still exists. You can select those cells and delete the headings and data, if desired. Isn’t that a lot easier and faster than retyping all your data?

  Following up on our prior announcement for EM 11g, we're pleased to announce the certification of the E-Business Suite 12.1.3 Data Masking Template for the Data Masking Pack with Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c. You can use the Oracle Data Masking Pack with Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control 12c to scramble sensitive data in cloned E-Business Suite environments.  Due to data dependencies, scrambling E-Business Suite data is not a trivial task.  The data needs to be scrubbed in such a way that allows the application to continue to function.  You may scramble data in E-Business Suite cloned environments with EM12c using the following template: E-Business Suite 12.1.3 Data Masking Template for Data Masking Pack with EM12c (Patch 14407414) What does data masking do in E-Business Suite environments? Application data masking does the following: De-identify the data:  Scramble identifiers of individuals, also known as personally identifiable information or PII.  Examples include information such as name, account, address, location, and driver's license number. Mask sensitive data:  Mask data that, if associated with personally identifiable information (PII), would cause privacy concerns.  Examples include compensation, health and employment information.   Maintain data validity:  Provide a fully functional application. How can EBS customers use data masking? The Oracle E-Business Suite Template for Data Masking Pack can be used in situations where confidential or regulated data needs to be shared with other non-production users who need access to some of the original data, but not necessarily every table.  Examples of non-production users include internal application developers or external business partners such as offshore testing companies, suppliers or customers.  The template works with the Oracle Data Masking Pack and Oracle Enterprise Manager to obscure sensitive E-Business Suite information that is copied from production to non-production environments. The Oracle E-Business Suite Template for Data Masking Pack is applied to a non-production environment with the Enterprise Manager Grid Control Data Masking Pack.  When applied, the Oracle E-Business Suite Template for Data Masking Pack will create an irreversibly scrambled version of your production database for development and testing.  What's new with EM 12c? • Is it more difficult to upgrade your certification from SQL Server 2008 to 2012 than to get it from scratch?

  I was wondering about the new MCSA certification on SQL 2012 and how it seems to be more difficult to upgrade your certification from 2008 to 2012 than to get the 2012 from scratch. Reason I think that is true is because anyone with any MCTS SQL Server 2008 certification can upgrade it to a MCSA 2012 by passing 2 tests (457 and 458). If you try to get it from scratch, you need to pass 3 tests (461, 462 and 463 - which are pretty much the same as 432, 433 and 448 for SQL 2008). But the thing is, even though its one test less to upgrade, all the skills necessary to pass 461, 462 and 463 are squeezed on 457 and 458 so, it seems easier to get from scratch than upgrade. Any thoughts?

• Using RTL languages with MS Office in Wine 1.4

  I've installed MS Office 2007 in Ubuntu 12.04 using Wine 1.4 with no problems, and it works fine with the English Language. However, I need to use it to work with Arabic and Hebrew, and it doesn't work when I switch to a Hebrew or Arabic keyboard. The typing gets reversed. I saw an earlier post for something similar, but it is closed and I think it was for the earlier Wine 1.3. Supposedly Wine 1.4 has added RTL -- is there a way to get it working?

  Off the top of my head, I can think of a handful of large sites which utilize the Microsoft stack Microsoft.com Dell MySpace PlentyOfFish StackOverflow Hotmail, Bing, WindowsLive However, based on observation, nearly all of the top 500 sites seem to be running other platforms.What are the main reasons there's so little market penetration? Cost? Technology Limitations? Does Microsoft cater to corporate / intranet environments more then public websites? I'm not looking for market share, but rather large scale adoption of the MS stack.

• Has Microsoft stopped offering the free Internet Explorer Application Compatibility VPC Image for IE 6 testing?

  For some time now, Microsoft has made available free, stripped-down, time-limited Virtual PC images for testing web apps in older versions of IE. The most recent version is here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=11575 But the XP VPC image has now expired (14th Aug 2011), meaning one can no longer test IE 6 using this method. Have Microsoft made updated XP VPC images available? If not, have they commented on the situation? Do they provide any alternative method to test web apps in IE 6? Update As noted by @PleaseStand, as of 16th Aug 2011, Microsoft has made updated images available that expire on 17th November 2011.

• Including Microsoft.XNA.Framework.Input.Touch in a project?

  So after running through tutorials by both Microsoft and www.xnadevelopment.com I feel very confident in my ability to get to work on my first game using the XNA Framework. I've manipulated sprites, added audio, changed game states, and even went a step further to apply the knowledge I had and figure out how to make animations and basic 2-dimensional physics (including impulses, force, acceleration, and speed calculations) But then shortly into the project I hit a curious bump that I've been unable to figure out. In wanting to implement menus, pause screens, and several different aspects of play (a "pre-level" prep screen, the level itself, and a screen after the level to review how well you did) I took a look at Microsoft's Game State Management sample. I understood the concept, although it was admittedly quite a lot to take in. Not wanting to recreate the entire concept by scratch (after all- what purpose would that serve?) I tried copying and pasting the sample code into my own ScreenManager class (as well as InputState and GameScreen classes) to try and borrow their ingenuity. When I did this, however, my project stopped compiling. I was getting the following error: The type or namespace name 'Touch' does not exist in the namespace 'Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Input' (are you missing an assembly reference?) Having read through their sample code already, I realized that this namespace and every function and class within it could be safely ripped from the code without losing functionality. It's a namespace simply for integrating with touchscreen devices (presumably Windows Phone 7, but maybe also tablets). But then I began to wonder- how come Microsoft's sample compiled but mine didn't? I copied their code exactly so there must be a setting somewhere that I need to change in Visual Studio in order to correct this. I tried creating a new project as a Windows Phone 7 game rather than a Windows game, however that only forced it to compile to a Windows Phone emulator and denied me the ability to change the resolution and other features which I clearly had the power to do in the sample code. So my question is simple - how do I properly use the namespace Microsoft.XNA.Framework.Input.Touch?

• git, how to I go back to origin master after pulling a branch

  This has to be a FAQ, but I can't find it googling. Another person created a branch, commit'd to it, and pushed it to github using git push origin newbranch I successfully pulled it down using git pull origin newbranch Now, I want to go back to the origin master version. Nothing I do seems to cause the files in the origin master to replace those in the newbranch. git checkout master git checkout origin master git pull git pull origin HEAD etc git pull origin master returns: * branch master -> FETCH_HEAD Already up-to-date. This can't be hard, but I sure can't figure it out. 'git branch' returns * master and 'git branch -r' return origin/HEAD origin/experimental origin/master

• How to force remove a package if dpkg removal script fails?

  I'm trying to remove a package where I deleted the /etc/init.d/disco-master file (in an attempt to remove the package manually). I want to remove the disco-master package. How do I do this now? This is what happens when I do sudo apt-get remove disco-master: removing disco-master ... invoke-rc.d: unknown initscript, /etc/init.d/disco-master not found. dpkg: error processing disco-master (--remove): subprocess installed pre-removal script returned error exit status 100 Errors were encountered while processing: disco-master E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) When I do sudo apt-get install --reinstall disco-master I get the following: You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these: The following packages have unmet dependencies: disco-master : Depends: disco-node (= 0.4.2+nmu1) but it is not going to be installed E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).     The Gartner MQ report for Master Data Management of Customer Data Solutions is released and we're proud to say that Oracle is in the leaders' quadrant.  Here's a snippet from the report itself:  " “Oracle has a strong, though complex, portfolio of domain-specific MDM products that include prepackaged data models.
